Abstract: A method for modeling a web service operation, includes: defining an input message pattern that describes input requirements of a web service operation, wherein the input message pattern includes a set of variables representing data elements that must be contained in a message input to the web service operation, and a graph pattern that semantically describes the data elements that must be contained in the message input to the web service operation; and defining an output message pattern that describes an output message of the web service operation, wherein the output message pattern includes a set of variables and exemplars that represent data elements contained in the output message, and a graph pattern that semantically describes the data elements contained in the output message.

Abstract: A system for secure information storage and delivery includes a vault repository that includes a secure vault associated with a user, wherein the secure vault is associated with a service level including at least one of a data type or a data size limit associated with the secure vault, the secure vault being adapted to receive and at least one data entry and securely store the at least one data entry if the at least one of a size or a type of the at least one data entry is consistent with the service level. A mobile vault server coupled to the vault repository creates a mobile vault on a mobile device based on the secure vault and is capable of authenticating the mobile device based on user authentication information. The mobile vault server includes a mobile device handler that communicates with the mobile device.

Abstract: A method of naming documents according to a document naming convention (DNC) includes receiving, from any of a plurality of data processing applications (DPAs) within an enterprise, a request for a document name and generating a document name “infix” portion in compliance with the DNC for inclusion in the document name. The prefix may be descriptive of a characteristic of the document and the suffix may indicate a document type, a document format, or both. The infix may include a fixed portion and a modifiable portion. The fixed portion may include a datestamp and a document unification identifier. The infix may include a variable portion that can be modified by a DPA that creates a new or modified document, but the name of the modified document maintains the fixed portion of the original document.

Abstract: A system that enables enterprises to design, create integrate and operate online communities. The system operates as an on-demand hosted platform (software-as-a-service) that provides a secure and reliable architecture on which enterprises can safely and securely develop, execute and manage their online communities. The platform combines a wide range of web-based participation technologies (e.g., blogs, wikis, discussion groups, social networking, podcasts, RSS, tagging, photos, videos, mapping, and the like). Any content can have attributes that make it appear as any type of content. With this uniform content architecture, all user-generated content is treated as a post (or, more generally, a submission), and there is no need for a participant to author multiple entries for separate uses. Preferably, all content created or otherwise associated with a particular author is intrinsically tied or “linked” to the author via the author's profile.

Abstract: An apparatus and method is described for improving access to mostly read data on network servers. The preferred embodiments more efficiently utilize replicated data servers to minimize server response time for improved performance of data access to network servers by workload managing client requests across the primary server and all replicated servers when it is possible to do so. In preferred embodiments, a load balancer supplies the most current data for mostly read data transactions while maximizing server usage by workload managing client requests across the primary server and all replicated servers. Client requests are managed by a load balancer in the workload manager. Client requests are sent by the load balancer to replicated servers when a routing table (stale data marker list) indicates that the data is in a safe period. Clients are directed exclusively to the primary server only during data update times.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a file includes data that is divided into a plurality of sections, and each section may include metadata that includes the revision history for that section. A specific section of the file may be selected and its revision history queried. In response to such a query, the revision history for the selected section is extracted from the section metadata and may be displayed. If a portion of a section has been copied from a source section and pasted into a target section, the section metadata for the target section may be updated to include information about the source section. For each change to the section data, the section metadata may also include a version number, a revision date and time, a revision author and the actual insertion, deletion or other change to the section data.

Abstract: According to a first aspect of the present invention there is provided a method of operating an XML Document Management Server in an IP Multimedia Subsystem. The method comprises receiving a message from a user terminal requesting an XML document, the XML document conforming to a given structure and containing one or more service rules relating to a service, retrieving an XML document containing said service rules from a data storage entity. If the structure of the retrieved XML document differs from said given structure, adapting a rule or rules of the retrieved XML document such that the XML document conforms to said given structure, and sending the adapted XML document to the user terminal.

Abstract: A system is provided for locating data in a distributed data environment, in which at least two users share a common data requirement. The environment comprises a plurality of network-connected data terminals. The system comprises at least one of the network-connected data terminals, which includes means for each of the at least two users to submit a data locating query, means for each of the at least two users to receive a query result, means for each of the at least two users to input respective relevance feedback data in response to the received query result, means for combining the respective relevance feedback data in real time, and means for processing data locating queries with the combined respective relevance feedback data. A method is also provided for locating data in the distributed data environment.

Abstract: A method, system and computer program product for managing tasks, including receiving an e-mail from a user, the e-mail including a subject line and at least one recipient, wherein the recipient is or is not registered in a task management system; parsing the e-mail to identify a task; adding the task to a task database of the task management system; adding the sender and recipient to a database of the task management system if needed. A web interface is provided for the sender and the recipient to interface with the task management system. The e-mail can be sent to multiple recipients and some of the recipients might not be registered with the task management system. The subject line of the e-mail is parsed for the task identification like name of the task. The subject line of the e-mail is also parsed for a due date and the due date is added to task parameters. The subject line of the e-mail is also parsed for groups in which the task should be included.

Abstract: A collaborative editing model for online content is described. A set of suggested edits to a version of the online content is received from multiple users. Each suggested edit in the set relates to the same version. The set of suggested edits is provided to an authorized editor, who is visually notified of differences between the version of the content and the suggested edits and conflicts existing between two or more suggested edits. Input is received from the editor resolving conflicts and accepting or rejecting suggested edits in the set. The first version of the content is modified accordingly to generate a second version of the content. Suggested edits from the set that were not accepted nor rejected and are not in conflict with the second version are carried over and can remain pending with respect to the second version.

Abstract: Some embodiments provide a system for processing relationship data that expresses relationship between various entities. In some embodiments, the entities are entities associated directly with an enterprise. The entities in some embodiments described below also include entities associated indirectly with the enterprise through other entities. However, one of ordinary skill will realize that some embodiments might only track relationships between entities directly associated with an enterprise. In some embodiments, the system consolidates disparate relationship data sets that relate to the same set of entities. For instance, in some embodiments, the system includes several data storages that store relationship data. For at least two entities, at least two different data storages store two different relationship data sets that differently express the relationship between the two entities.

The system further comprises a plurality of logical roles. Each logical role defines a responsibility based on the task state and a member of that logical role. Additionally, the system comprises a configurable matrix of access controls that is used to control access to the plurality of tasks based on the plurality of logical roles.

Abstract: A system and method for workflow task routing based on cardinality of task data, or the structure of elements in a business object associated with a task. In accordance with an embodiment, a system such as a human workflow system, that allows for the definition of human workflow tasks, can include a forEach construct within a human task routing definition and a payload. In scenarios that require a plurality of task of similar type be undertaken, such as a purchase order approval involving a plurality of items and potentially different approvers, the system allows for modeling a separate routing for each of those task items (e.g. the lines in the purchase order). In each of the branches of the forEach construct, complex routing patterns, such as parallel routing, can be used. The forEach construct allows creating of looping constructs at any level deep.

Abstract: A file containing proprietary content can be protected against unauthorized duplication via file sharing between remote computers connected to an Internet swapping service. To this end, the content to be protected is searched on the Internet, at least the hash ID of each data record offered as a search hit is stored, this hash ID is linked to substitute content data, and queries of remote computers for the file to be protected are responded to by offering the modified data record.

Abstract: A computer implemented method a document management workflow in a multi-tenant system environment is disclosed. The method includes receiving instructions to create a composition a document. The document is encapsulated in a knowledge article version and the knowledge article version having a document category. The knowledge article version is associated with a knowledge article. The method further includes invoking the document management workflow that is specific to the knowledge article, the knowledge article version and the document category and configuring the document management workflow to include a plurality of workflow steps based on the knowledge article, the knowledge article version and the document category. Each of the plurality of workflow steps are then associated with one or more triggers and actor roles. The actor roles define permissible actions in each of the plurality of workflow steps.

The same instance of the application utilized by a second entity locates a second key in the first table to identify a second procedure. Using the first procedure, a method and a parameter set based on rules of the first entity are located in a second table. Using the second procedure, the method and a parameter set based on rules of the second entity are located in the second table. The method is executed with each of the parameter sets to identify a first screen flow for the first entity and a second screen flow for the second entity. The first screen flow includes data elements that are different from data elements included in the second screen flow.

Abstract: Methods and systems for directed creation of construction documentation are provided. Example embodiments provide a Directed Documentation System (a “DDS”), which directs, in a computer-assisted manner, the creation of a historical record of a portion or an entire construction project. In one embodiment, the DDS comprises a directed construction data organization process/component, a directed documentation data acquisition process/component, a construction documentation data retrieval process/component, and a construction documentation data distribution process/component. These components cooperate to direct the documentation of a construction project in a manner that insures that all desired aspects of the project are documented thoroughly and uniformly. Abstract: Example collaborative filtering techniques provide improved recommendation prediction accuracy by capitalizing on the advantages of both neighborhood and latent factor approaches. One example collaborative filtering technique is based on an optimization framework that allows smooth integration of a neighborhood model with latent factor models, and which provides for the inclusion of implicit user feedback. A disclosed example Singular Value Decomposition (SVD)-based latent factor model facilitates the explanation or disclosure of the reasoning behind recommendations. Another example collaborative filtering model integrates neighborhood modeling and SVD-based latent factor modeling into a single modeling framework. These collaborative filtering techniques can be advantageously deployed in, for example, a multimedia content distribution system of a networked service provider.

Abstract: Some embodiments of the invention provide a method of medical collaboration. Some embodiments include a server application receiving and storing an image via an uploading application. In some embodiments, the image can be stored in a database, and upon receiving a request to view the image from a plurality of client applications, the image can be transmitted to the plurality of client applications so that each of the client applications can display the image. Some embodiments can include displaying an application interface on each of the plurality of client applications substantially simultaneously with the image.

For example, each user can generate a content lock about one or more data units within the document. The authoring environment may synchronize content locks automatically and content only at the request of the user.

The method provides a Project Sharing feature for enabling collaborative sharing of Non Linear Editing (NLE) Projects, even though the NLE application might normally define and save Projects as a single monolithic project file. The system and method provides a file directory and symlink scheme that allows ALL editors who are “members” of a Project Space to see all the bins created by all other editors, but controlling the WRITE ACCESS to the bins according to whose “User Folder” the bins resided in, i.e., a user-based locking scheme is provided to allow control over who can and cannot write to a file. The system and method further treats a single monolithic project file as a collection of smaller Project files, the permissions and ownerships of which could each be controlled independently.

Abstract: Methods and systems provide for establishment of online dialogs between a person and a user of an online community where those people are not necessarily familiar with each others areas of expertise or interests. The methods and systems can categorize a dialog topic received from the person, and determine, from categorization of users, a selection of users of a system to receive the dialog topic. That selection can be further narrowed according to user availability and/or ranking determinations, as well as an initial subject matter test posed to the selection of users. Judging the acceptability of the users' responses can help determine subject matter expertise in an area relevant to the proposed topic.
