Abstract: A method detects anomalies in time series data, by first learning a final set of exemplars by summarizing training time series data using a divide-and-conquer procedure. Then, for each window of testing time series data, a distance to a nearest exemplar in the final set of exemplars is determined, wherein the distance is an anomaly score. Finally, an anomaly is signaled when the anomaly score for a window is greater than a threshold.

For example, the UI objects may comprise screens, views, applets, fields, and columns. Based on the alert-enabled UI objects, data-change alert triggers are generated to monitor for data-change events (e.g., inserts, updates, and deletes) that cause changes to data in the data system corresponding to those alert-enabled UI objects. In response to data changes in the data system corresponding to alert-enabled UI objects, appropriate triggers are executed to initiate generation of data-change alerts comprising data values that have been changed. Abstract: The present embodiments disclose a method and an associated computer program product for determining the quality of an information technology (IT) system including a plurality of hardware units and software modules. A total score value for the IT system is calculated from different score values ascertained independently of one another. The different score values are measures for deviations of the quality of the hardware units or the software modules from first predefinable target values. The total score value is a measure of a deviation of the quality of the IT system from a second predefinable target value.

  • Patent number: 9086965
Abstract: An apparatus and method of PCIe error handling and recovery actions taken in the event of an error. An error reporting extension defines a set of commonly used actions that are taken by a device in response to the detection of an error. This minimizes the side effects of continued device operation following the occurrence of an error. The device's error handling capabilities are advertised and the system software specifies the desired device action to take upon occurrence of a particular error. The particular error handling action is defined uniquely for each PCIe function and error type, such that different errors trigger a different type of action, thereby affecting only specific device functions or the entire device, depending on the configuration. Error handling actions and control fields are placed in the extension portion of the PCI Express Advanced Error Reporting configuration space.

  • Patent number: 9053203
Abstract: This document describes techniques for, and apparatuses capable of, provider-specific parsing for content retrieval. In one embodiment, a user's computing device receives code (e.g., an executable script) from a content provider and utilizes a parsing scheme associated with the content provider to parse the code and determine an address that can be used to retrieve an instance of content. The instance of content can then be retrieved using the address and without executing the code. In some embodiments, the parsing scheme is specific to the content provider and can be updated based on a change to the code.

  • Patent number: 9043658
Abstract: An asset health monitoring system (AHMS) can assign a confidence indicator to some or all the services of a computing service provider. In response to drops in the confidence indicators, the AHMS can automatically initiate testing of services and/or computing assets associated with the services in order to raise confidence that a particular service and its computing assets will perform correctly. Further, the AHMS can automatically initiate remediation procedures for the particular service and/or specific computing assets that fail the confidence testing. By automatically triggering testing and/or remediation procedures, the AHMS can increase reliability of the computing service provider by preemptively identifying problems.

  • Patent number: 9037926
Abstract: A computer-implemented method, system, and/or computer program product handles content availability error codes. A content refresh response, responsive to a content refresh request that requests content being displayed on a user interface to be updated, is received by and stored in a buffer in a client computer. The content refresh request was generated by a content renderer in the client computer, and the buffer is isolated from the content renderer. The content refresh response is then transmitted from the buffer to a content refresh handler, such that the content refresh handler prevents the content refresh response from being sent directly from the buffer to the content renderer without the content refresh response first being analyzed by the content refresh handler.

Abstract: Events which have occurred in storage systems can be managed easily regardless of complexity of a storage configuration. An event notification system 1 includes: an event notifying client 133 for detecting the occurrence of an event(s) in volumes of a storage system 10; a management application server 20 for storing information about the occurred event as setting/failure information 21; and an event information aggregation server 30 for creating and managing event information 31 including an event key 311 for associating the occurred event with the setting/failure information 21. When the event information aggregation server 30 in such an event notification system 1 notifies an administrator terminal 50 of the event key 311 and an administrator selects the event key 311, the management application server 20 has the administrator terminal 50 display an event browse screen 52 indicating the relativity of a volume, in which the event occurred, to a volume in which a related event occurred.

Abstract: Disclosed are an error code conversion method and system, a Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet (PPPoE) server and a mobile terminal, and the method includes: a PPPoE server parses a PPPoE error code generated during a dialup process, converts the PPPoE error code to an extended error code according to a PPPoE error code conversion rule table preconfigured on the PPPoE server and transmits the extended error code to a mobile terminal; the mobile terminal receives the extended error code, interprets the extended error code into a plain text according to a PPPoE error code conversion rule table configured on the mobile terminal in advance and displays the plain text to a user. The present disclosure improves capability of a PPPoE server and a terminal for processing errors, thus making it convenient for the mobile terminal and an operator to control a PPPoE dialup process and for a user to surf the Internet through WiFi by rapidly using PPPoE dialup functionality.

Abstract: Systems and methods involve prioritizing information based at least in part on test results for tests. A computing device may administer one or more tests and/or may receive test results for one or more tests. Multiple executions of one or more tests may be administered over a period of time. A device administering a test may evaluate the functionality of at least a portion of an application programming interface (API) or at least a portion of a user interface. Test results may be analyzed to determine a failure pattern and/or pass rate for one or more tests. Test results may be analyzed to determine an error signature and/or error signature frequency for one or more test results. A report can be generated that prioritizes information based at least in part on the tests, test results, and/or any determined information.
