For example, a message interface provides access to messages associated with a user message address of a user. A content recommendation to subscribe to content of a content provider is generated and populated within the message interface (e.g., a recommendation to subscribe to a gardening newsletter). Responsive to the user interacting with the content recommendation, a subscribe option is displayed through the message interface. The user can use the subscribe option to quickly and efficiently create a user subscription to the content without transitioning away from the message interface. Information used to create the user subscription can be prefilled in order to reduce the amount of user actions needed for creating the user subscription.

The method also includes displaying the second portion of the scrollable document, where the first portion is no longer visible and where the media player continues to be visible.

Abstract: A video tagging system that can generate tags corresponding to associations of object-related keywords mentioned in a video to time instances in the video is described. The video tagging system identifies a particular object associated with a video. Using a transcription of audio content within the video, the video tagging system determines a keyword mentioned in the audio content that is associated with the object and a time instance within a timeline of the video when the keyword is mentioned. The video tagging system generates a tag that associates the keyword with the time instance and sends an indication of the tag to a user device. Once the video is displayed on the user device, the user can search for the keyword. This prompts the user device to display a marker indicating the time instance when the keyword is mentioned.

Events of interest within the video are identified based on the corresponding metadata, and best scenes are identified based on the identified events of interest. In one example, best scenes are identified based on the motion values associated with frames or portions of a frame of a video. Motion values are determined for each frame and portions of the video including frames with the most motion are identified as best scenes. Best scenes may also be identified based on the motion profile of a video. The motion profile of a video is a measure of global or local motion within frames throughout the video. For example, best scenes are identified from portion of the video including steady global motion. A video summary can be generated including one or more of the identified best scenes.

The requested media file is presented such that comments associated with the media file are displayed. The comments are filtered to include comments from members of the community associated with the user.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes receiving user input (e.g., touch input) selecting a content object displayed in an application on the user's mobile device. The mobile device may then send a request to a social-networking system for content objects and social-networking information related to the selected content object. In response to the user input, the mobile device may provide a persistent display of an interactive element (e.g., a bauble) that corresponds to the selected content object. The interactive element may be displayed, and the user may interact with it, without interfering with the underlying application. The interactive element may float over the application window until the user expands or dismisses it. The user may expand the interactive element to reveal a user interface in which the content object and requested related content objects and social-networking information are presented.

Abstract: A method, a system, and a computer program product for contextually sharing content with at least one receiving participant during a video conference. The method includes identifying content to be shared by a sharing participant within a shared space of the video conference that is viewable by the at least one receiving participant. The method further includes determining at least one sharing parameter that defines participant access to view the content and determining sharing credentials for each receiving participant of the video conference. Abstract: The present invention discloses a novel Game-Ride System: a game in which people can physically ride the playing pieces. Simultaneously it is a physical ride whose passengers, via their vehicles, can be “played with” and, in certain embodiments, wagered upon. A typical application incorporates an overall electronic game control subsystem adapted to playing a particular kind of game, accepting input from one or more playing consoles (whether local or remote), and issuing various commands for display of game progress and outcomes. Abstract: The embodiments set forth herein disclose techniques for enabling a user device to seamlessly establish a secure, high-bandwidth wireless connection with a vehicle accessory system to enable the user device to wirelessly stream user interface (UI) information to the vehicle accessory system. To implement this technique, a lower-bandwidth wireless technology (e.g., Bluetooth) is used as an initial means for establishing a Wi-Fi pairing between the user device and the vehicle accessory system. Wi-Fi parameters associated with a Wi-Fi network provided by the vehicle accessory system can be communicated to the user device using the lower-bandwidth wireless technology. A secure Wi-Fi connection can then be established between the user device and the vehicle accessory system using the provided Wi-Fi parameters. The embodiments also disclose a technique for enabling the user device to automatically reconnect with the vehicle accessory system in a seamless manner (e.g., when returning to a vehicle).

Aspects of the technology described herein identify and remove, or otherwise obscure, the NUI input, while maintaining the surrounding portion of media content that does not include the NUI command. Exemplary media that can be used with the technology described herein includes images, videos, and audio transmissions. A non-disruptive NUI input can be provided when recording a media for subsequent transmission or during a synchronous media communication session.

Highlight reels may be created from the highlight segments according to one or more highlight selection criteria and/or spectator preferences. View information may be received from a client computing platform. The image-capture device fills a portion of the first preview of the scene that corresponds to the removed undesired object in the first preview of the scene with at least one of a background region or a foreground region. The image-capture device generates a second preview of the scene based on the remove and the fill. The image-capture device further captures and generates an image of the scene based on the generated second preview.

Abstract: A method and system are presented that can model a video game in a state graph. The nodes can be configured to represent actions are performable in the video game. Using the state graph and test logs that journal actions performed by testers that played the video game, a plurality of scripts can be generated representing actions different users may perform when playing the video game. Further, by applying a probabilistic analysis to the test logs, weights can be applied to the state graph that reflect the likelihood that a user performs a particular action subsequent to a previously performed action. By generating a random walk of the state diagram, a script to simulate a player may be generated. By generating many scripts to simulate many players, it is possible to perform full scale realistic testing of the video game that matches the way human users play the video game.
