Abstract: Provided is a computing-system monitor configured to monitor a plurality of computing-systems each having a plurality of monitored computing-instances. The computing-system monitor may include a plurality of collectors, each collector executed by one of a plurality of monitored computing-instances, wherein the plurality of monitored computing-instances each are part of one of a plurality of separately monitored computing systems, and wherein each of the collectors is operable to output metrics of a corresponding monitored computing-instance executing that collector. The computing-system monitor may also include an analytics platform, the analytics platform having a plurality of analytic computing-instances, the analytics platform being operable to receive metrics output by the plurality of collectors, calculate statistics with the analytic computing-instances based on the received metrics, and output the calculated statistics.

Abstract: Mechanisms are provided for performing a locale name modification operation. The mechanisms receive, via a locale name management user interface presented by the data processing system, a new locale name to be used by the data processing system to perform locale customized operations. The mechanisms identify an existing locale name to be replaced by the new locale name. The mechanisms map the new locale name to existing locale name data structures associated with the existing locale name to be replaced and verify proper operation of a software element using the new locale name and the mapping of the new locale name to the existing locale name data structures. The mechanisms utilize the new locale name to perform locale name customized operations in response to verifying proper operation of the software element.

For example, the method obtains network topology information, wherein the network topology information comprises a plurality of underlying subnetwork types for a network. The method creates a cost model for the network, and receives a request from a user for a connection to be supported by the network. Abstract: Described is a method and system a unified mechanism for storing device, application, and service state, as well as a rich notification brokerage architecture. Clients register with a notification broker to receive notifications for changes to state properties. When a registered state property changes, a notification broker determines which clients to notify of the state change and provides the client with a notification regarding the change. Clients may be notified whenever a state changes, when a state change meets a predetermined condition, or based on a schedule. An application may also be launched in response to a state change. An application programming interface (API) is provided that provides a unified way of accessing state change information across different components within the device.

Abstract: Instrumented networks and platforms having target subjects (devices, transactions, services, users, organizations) are disclosed. A security orchestration service generates runtime operational integrity profiles representing and identifying a level of threat or contextual trustworthiness, at near real time, of subjects and applications on the instrumented target platform. Systems and methods use a graphical user interface (GUI) console to orchestrate operational integrity of a platform. In an embodiment, a method presents a data center-level runtime operational integrity dashboard and remediation controls for infected systems in a display of a platform having a network trust agent, an endpoint trust agent, and a trust orchestrator. The method receives runtime integrity metrics for trust vectors and displays risk indicators based on the confidence level of received integrity metrics in the GUI.

A monitoring application monitors the execution status of the VDC. Upon determining that the VDC has been terminated, the monitoring application is configured to present the UI by re-initializing, relaunching, or rebooting the UI, by retrieving display data associated with the UI from a RAM device, or by other means.

A detection module detects a status change between at least one external device and the smart platform. Benefits of embodiments of a tool include allowing a user to identify the availability and capacity of any wavelength on any network, via an interactive graphical user interface, such as by using three-dimensional representations. When a member creates a post, either through the on-line social networking website itself or through an application programming interface (API) that allows to include a share user interface (UI) control on a third web party site, the system monitors events associated with the post, collects statistics with respect to the monitored events and uses this data to generate a visualization of the reach of that post. Abstract: In some embodiments, a non-transitory processor-readable medium stores code representing instructions for execution by a computer processor. The instructions cause the processor to produce a list of subjects by identifying a plurality of subjects based on information associated with an analyst-selected topic. The list of subjects is expanded to include subjects that have a relationship with at least one subject from the first list of subjects. Subjects are removed from the list based on either a filter or a scoring threshold. The expanding and removing subjects is iterated until the list of subjects is substantially stable to produce a final list of subjects. A graphical network is defined based on the final list of subjects and a signal is sent representing the graphical network (e.g., to a computer monitor for display).

The graphical representation can be a pair of parallel dashed lines between communicating components. The dashes in the lines are moved using a speed coding scheme representative of the performance parameter, e.g., with faster speeds used to show higher ranges of utilization, and the direction of movement matches data flow. The dashed lines are colored using a color coding scheme and the line segment lengths vary in association with the performance value.
