The system may receive input placing a first graphical image (associated with a communications profile) on a pane, receive input defining one or more of the attributes and/or parameters of the communications profile, and create or configure an interface in accordance with the communications profile.

Abstract: Method and apparatus for initiating and managing a chat session are described herein. According to one embodiment, user activities with respect to the data processing system are monitored, including user activities that are unrelated to chat services. In response to a request to initiate a chat session between a local user and a remote user, a first chat service account is selected from a list of chat service accounts associated with the remote user based on the monitored user activities. A chat session is initiated using the selected first chat service account of the remote user and a second chat service account selected for the local user. Certain information is displayed within a chat window indicating that the chat session is conducted between the first and second chat service accounts. Other methods and apparatuses are also described.

Abstract: A native application can be deployed that obtains configuration information for the native application at run-time. Digital marketing users or other marketing users can view or control the behavior of the native application by displaying or setting the configuration information of the native application. The native application can report tracked end user interactions and events with the native application according to the configuration information to tag management systems for data compilation by the tag management systems. In addition, the native application can enable digital marketing users or other marketing users to view or control the behavior of the native application from within the native application using an integrated configuration utility. The configuration utility can be activated using a two-stage activation process or an activation and authorization process to prevent an end user from accidentally encountering the configuration utility during routine use of the native application.

Abstract: A method and system for enhancing search skills of human guides in an information search system. The method allows human guides to be trained when they are not particularly busy fielding search queries from information seekers. The method can include determining whether a guide is idle and presenting to a human guide at least one video or audio source for training the human guide. The video training can include a demonstration of the most effective method for providing search results for an information search query, thereby enabling a guide to learn effective strategies and skills for conducting information searching. The training can contribute to the likelihood of the guide being promoted to a level of a more experienced human guide, thereby allowing greater effectiveness in fielding search queries for information seekers.

Abstract: Providing multiple roles in computer-implemented workspaces. When a first computer workspace in which a user has been assigned a first role and a second role is accessed, a first subset of content defined by the first role and a second subset of content defined by the second role can be made accessible to the user. Input to switch access from the first computer workspace to a second computer workspace that is different from the first computer workspace and in which the user is assigned only the second role can be received. In response, only the second subset of content can be provided to the user and access to the first subset of content can be prohibited.

Abstract: Methods and systems for automated network management are disclosed. A set of GUI-based network management components and running environment are provided. An Executable Procedure can be created and saved as an independent application, automatically executed through a running environment to any network system. Such Procedure may be used for automated trouble shooting, customized report or for generating a visual network device map.

Moreover, a graphical representation of a variant model associated with the network is generated, utilizing the differences between the network model and the inventory model, where the variant model includes the network model with the differences between the network model and the inventory model.

Abstract: A method for synchronizing different components of a computer network system using meta-commands embedded in normal network packets. The data communication channel between different components of a computer network system can be used to transport meta-commands piggybacked in normal network packets, without modifying or compromising the validity of the protocol message. Embodiments of the method can be used for embedding test synchronization and control commands into the network packets sent through a device or system under test. The device or system under test can be an edge device, with the data communication channel carrying normal packets containing meta-commands embedded in the packets to synchronize the test control of the test clients and the test servers connected to the edge device.

An information display method displays a list having at least one information item. When a user command is input, the at least one information item is classified into shown-information items and hidden-information items according to a display rule. Abstract: What is disclosed is network management software which displays a widget for tracking a particular characteristic of a network. The widget title bar contains a first and second indicator. The first indicator represents the severity of the most severe alert for the particular characteristic being tracked by the widget. The second indicator is a numerical value of the characteristic that caused the alert.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a client device configured to remotely access a desktop hosted by a server system determines an event related to a user input for a desktop operation directed to the desktop. The client device receives a plurality of updates to a desktop graphical user interface (GUI) from the desktop hosted by the server system. Then, the client device correlates the event to an update in the plurality of updates to the desktop GUI based on a rule in a set of rules correlating events to updates. A metric is monitored for the update and information measured for the metric is stored.

Abstract: Techniques for presenting patient data at the patient's bedside include receiving predetermined presentation style data that indicates a subset of fewer than all parameters available from an electronic medical records (EMR) system and a first arrangement on a display device of related parameters in the subset. Without human intervention, the most recent values from the EMR system are received. The most recent values are associated in the EMR system with the particular patient for corresponding parameters of the subset. A first most recent value is presented according to the first arrangement at the particular bedside display device without human intervention. In some embodiments, the most recent values are also received or presented in response to a single stroke from a human user at an input for the particular display device.

Abstract: A method and a device for processing network element object information in a three-dimensional (3D) topology view are provided. The method includes: in response to a user's operation of selecting a first network element object in the 3D topology view displayed in a window, sending a first instruction to a back-end server; receiving position coordinates and size information of the first network element object from the back-end server; and adjusting position coordinates of the first network element object in the window according to a size of the window and the position coordinates of the first network element object, multiplying the size information of the first network element object by a preset zoom factor to zoom the first network element object, and redisplaying the zoomed first network element object at the adjusted position coordinates in the window. Thus, the user can identify the network element object quickly in the window.

The method comprises the steps of allowing a visitor to perform multiple visits on the website, and monitoring navigations and/or actions performed by the visitor during each visit while accumulating value points in accordance with content viewed by the visitor and actions performed by the visitor, and in accordance with predefined value point settings associated with content of the website, thereby obtaining a value point score for each visit. An origin of the first visit, leading the visitor to the website, is registered and categorized according to type of origin in accordance with two or more predefined categories of origin. An accumulated value point score for the visitor is obtained by adding the obtained value point scores of the first visit and each of the subsequent visit(s).

Abstract: The present invention is directed towards systems and methods of providing management of network services provided by an intermediary device managing traffic between a plurality of clients and servers. The intermediary device may include one or more virtual servers managing a plurality of services. A user can invoke a visualizer tool of the intermediary device to identify a configuration and an operational status of the virtual servers and services managed by the virtual servers. The visualizer tool may also determine from the configuration two or more services having a common set of configuration properties and managed by a first virtual server. The visualizer tool may establish a service container comprising these services. The visualizer tool may display via an interface a graphical representation of the configuration and the operational status of the first virtual server and the service container identifying the common set of configuration properties of these services.

Abstract: The present invention enables real-time video commenting by viewers of media content on a web site. The media content may be video, audio, text, still images or other types of media content. When a content viewer indicates a desire to provide a real-time video comment, a content server causes a video input device at the content viewer's location to be activated. The content viewer's video comment is captured by the video input device and transmitted to the content server, where it is stored and associated with the video being commented upon. When the original video is subsequently presented to content viewers, indicia of the video comment such as a thumbnail or description of the comment is also presented, thus inviting content viewers to view the video comment in addition to the original video.

Abstract: This invention relates to a method of provisioning a cloud-based render farm. Cloud- based render farms are relatively difficult to establish and require skilled IT personnel to create and operate. This represents a significant cost to smaller 3D studios and a substantial drain on the resources of the larger 3D studios' IT departments. According to the present invention, the steps of establishing a cloud-based render farm are simplified through the appropriate use of a provisioning module. All that is required of the IT staff or artist is to nominate the number of render machines and the amount of storage area required in the render farm and in some instances the rendering software and plugins required. The remaining steps of the method are performed by the provisioning module and/or a cloud-based render farm controller. In this way, cloud-based render farms can be established quickly with the minimum amount of difficulty and skill required.

The zero-client web application receives an image series selection from a user and receives corresponding series details from a web server. The zero-client web application generates an off-screen image array according to the series details. The buffering module outputs image requests based on the series details to a web server. The web server is in communication with a medical image database storing images in a non-web browser compatible format (e.g., DICOM). The buffering module then populates the off-screen image array with converted medical images received from the web server. The zero-client web application further includes an on-screen image and a display module. The display module sequentially sets converted medical images of the off-screen array as the on-screen image to stream the converted medical images.

Abstract: Managing user applications is provided. A visual model of user interface display screens of a user application is generated by mapping components displayed within the user interface display screens to screen position coordinates and by mapping the screen position coordinates corresponding to the components to original source code of the user application. A runtime policy for each component in a selected set of components within the user interface display screens of the user application is generated based on user interaction with the generated visual model of the user interface display screens. The generated runtime policy for each component in the selected set of components is sent to a client device via a network. Activity of each component in the selected set of components in the client device is tracked using data that is tracked and logged on the client device based the generated runtime policy for each selected component.

A visual model of user interface display screens of a user application is generated by mapping components displayed within the user interface display screens to screen position coordinates and by mapping the screen position coordinates corresponding to the components to original source code of the user application. In another embodiment, a flow map including nodes and flows can be generated in the UI. The UI is configured to provide users with a number of actions that can be implemented to affect the virtual resources. The actions can be presented in the user via menu options or actionable objects. The user can implement high-level actions provided by the UI. Upon receipt of a high-level action, the system is configured to translate the action into a sequence of low-level device commands needed to implement the action. The system can communicate with the low-level devices in the cloud to implement the commands.

Abstract: A system and method can monitor interactions between a user and a website during web browsing sessions. The interactions between the user and the website are stored in a data repository, tracking cookies, or the like for later retrieval. The system and method allow the user to retrieve the monitored interactions during later browsing sessions. Session data that represents the monitored interactions may be sorted by time, by type, or by both time and type so that a user can locate particular information quickly and efficiently. The session data, moreover, may contain active links that allow the user to revisit specific monitored interactions with the click of a single button.

Abstract: A system and method for providing a dashboard user interface for contact center monitoring. The dashboard user interface includes a first display widget displaying a first metric for a first contact center object according to a first display format. A processor receives user actuation of an option provided by the dashboard to add a second display widget. In response to the user actuation of the option to add, the processor displays a template for generating the second display widget. The template is configured to prompt for input of a second contact center object, a second metric to be displayed for the second contact center object, and identification of a second display format. The processor generates the second widget based on information input via the template, and displays the second widget on the dashboard. A user may move the first and second widgets as desired on the dashboard.
