Abstract: A display of an icon includes creating and displaying an icon that provides indicia regarding information relevant to an application to which the icon is assigned. The indicia provides information to a user and is always in the foreground of a display when the application is running regardless of whether the application is currently actively in use and being interacted with by a user or not. At least one expandable indicia is included within the icon. Input provided by clicking the expandable indicia actuates an expanded window for displaying more detailed information. Indicia is also presentable on the icon to provide real time information to a user who is actively using another application such as whether a connection to a server hosting services for the application is lost. A presence state of the user is displayable via presence indicia located on the icon as well.
Abstract: A system for computer-aided identification of technical phenomena and related methods, particularly with technical problems is described. The system is equipped with a computer executing a program and provided with means for inputting alphanumeric data, means for entering graphical information, and a visual display. The execution of said program causes the computer to work by displaying a sequence of request and input windows for a description of the technical phenomenon by way of an alphanumeric, human natural language and/or a graphical image and according to specific logic and construction rules of the human natural language expression or of the graphic expression, at a detailed level, which construction rules change from window to window and are displayed at the margin of a data input field in the window.
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for analyzing entity performance. In accordance with one implementation, a method is provided that includes receiving data associated with a geographic region and transforming the received data into an object model. The method also includes analyzing the object model to associate the received data with a plurality of entities and to associate the received data with a plurality of sub-geographic regions of the geographic region. The method also includes applying a prediction model to the plurality of sub-geographic regions using the object model to determine a predicted performance for at least one entity of the plurality of entities. Further, the method includes determining actual performance for the at least one entity and providing a user interface that includes information associated with the predicted performance, the actual performance, or a combination of the predicted performance and the actual performance.

Abstract: According to one aspect, a web optimized user device is provided. The web optimized device reduces complexity and facilitates interaction with web-based services and content. The web optimized device can be configured without a hard drive, facilitating integration of web-based services into a computing experience. The web optimized device presents a user interface that integrates video chat functionality into every aspect of the computer content accessed. In particular, a display manager manages the user interface presented and integrates video chat displays and features into the content displays in a content and/or context aware manner. These displays permit a user to intuitively interact with the video chat content and features while the user changes content, for example, web-based services, web-based applications, and other media content, without interruption of or interference from the video chat content.

Abstract: A method and a device of starting applications installed on a mobile operating system (OS) is performed by a mobile device for the mobile OS to flag any application installed on the mobile OS as a windowed application and display the application under a multi-window mode when the application is started. When multiple applications are simultaneously started, the mobile OS sequentially determines if each application is a windowed application. If positive, the application is displayed under the multi-window mode, and the size and location of the displayed window frame with the application running thereon are adjustable, rendering higher operational efficiency and convenience of software applications installed on a mobile OS.
Abstract: A calendar view smoothly and progressively transitions between different calendar views. Instead of snapping to a week view in response to changing from a month view to the week view, the month view progressively transitions to the week view while receiving an interaction. For example, the week view may smoothly expand while the view of the other weeks in the month smoothly decrease in size while the interaction is being received. A user may navigate between different calendar views such as year to month, month to week, week to multiple days, days to single days, and the like. When navigating month to month, week to week, day to day, and the like, the transitions between each time element are progressively and smoothly transitioned. Task information or other information that is displayed in the calendar progressively transitions to show more or less information depending on the interaction being received.

Abstract: An information processing device according to the present invention stores user attribute data and pieces of application attribute data. The information processing device retrieves the user attribute data (Sa1), retrieves application attribute data of running application programs (Sa3), and determine whether there is application attribute data matching the user attribute data (Sa5). If the determination is affirmative, the information processing device identifies an application program corresponding to the application attribute data, and subsequently identifies a window (subject window) corresponding to the identified application program (Sa6). The information processing device sets priority levels for the subject window and windows overlapping the subject window so that the priority level for the subject window is higher than those of the windows (Sa8), and changes a display order of the subject window and the windows in accordance with the priority levels for the subject window and the windows (Sa9).
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer-readable media for managing open windows in a desktop GUI are disclosed. In various implementations, within a three-dimensional desktop, the open windows can be displayed in a three-dimensional browsable parade. As the user browses through the open windows in the browsable parade, the open window passing through a designated primary location of the three-dimensional desktop becomes the current active window of the desktop. An application menu bar of the current active window can be displayed on the three-dimensional desktop. The application menu bar and the active window together provide the full range of interactive capabilities that the native application environment of the open window would allow, even though the open window is currently displayed within the browsable parade.
Abstract: A method of moving a cursor on a screen to a clickable object, which comprises steps of receiving coordinates of a gaze point; obtaining information of a plurality of first clickable objects on the display image; searching a second clickable object that covers the gaze point from the first clickable objects; and moving the cursor to the found clickable object, wherein the coordinates of the gaze point corresponds to a point position of a display image on a screen where a user gazed. A computer system and a computer program for carrying out the aforementioned method are also disclosed. The present invention is to control the cursor on the screen to move quickly to the center of the clickable object, or to the clickable object whose center coordinates is closest to a point where user gazes, allowing user to enjoy the convenience of controlling the computer with their eyes.
Abstract: Provided herein is a method, apparatus and computer program product for presenting information relating to two or more applications on a partitioned display of a device. A method for providing a user interface on a terminal according to one embodiment disclosed in the present specification comprises a step of transmitting, to a server, an information search request based on a user voice input; a step of receiving, from the server, a response to the information search request; and a step of displaying an item to take, in the form of a voice input, a user response to the information search request in the event that the response indicates that there is nothing found as a search result.
Abstract: A control method of the present disclosure causes a computer of an information apparatus to: display a display screen representing each room included in a building on the display; display device icons representing each of the one or more target devices in units of each room represented on the display screen on the display; when a selection of a first device icon representing a first target device among the one or more target devices is sensed, display a room screen representing a room corresponding to the selected first device icon on the display, the displayed room screen including a first operation screen for operating the first target device which corresponds to the selected first device icon; and output a first control command for controlling the first target device to the network based on an operation on the first operation screen.
Abstract: A method, system, and medium are provided for allowing a user to scroll through a list of items on a display, such as contacts, pictures, or other files, at variable speeds, which provides for fast, yet accurate scrolling. The user provides an indication to scroll through the list of items, such as pressing and dragging or flicking through the list. This indication may include a starting point and ending point at a certain location on the display. Depending on where the user provides this indication on the display, a scroll speed is determined at which to scroll through the list of items. As the indication of a scroll action progresses from one side of a display to the other, the scrolling speed increases such that the exact same scroll action corresponds to differing scrolling speeds, depending on the position of the user's indication of a scroll action on the display.
