Abstract: Example embodiments relate to an improved plastic lice treatment comb as well as methods of manufacture and use of the comb. The lice plastic comb may have a front surface, a back surface, a grip portion, and a plurality of rigid plastic tines extending from the grip portion. The front surface of the grip portion includes an elongated plastic flow ridge which is adjacent to the base ends of the tines. The back surface of the grip portion includes a plastic flow restriction channel, which is spaced slightly back from the base ends of the tines.

Abstract: An air-moving appliance includes a body extending about an axis. The body includes an inner wall and an outer wall spaced radially outward from the inner wall. The inner wall and the outer wall define a cavity therebetween. The inner wall defines a central passage. The air-moving appliance also includes an inlet and an outlet. The air-moving appliance further includes an attachment configured to selectively connect to the body in flow communication with the outlet. The attachment includes a connector configured to extend into the central passage defined by the inner wall of the body and an attachment inlet configured to receive the airflow that exits the cavity of the body through the outlet. The attachment inlet is circumferentially disposed about the axis and the central passage defined by the inner wall of the body when the attachment is connected to the body.

Abstract: Disclosed are methods for creating, applying, using and retrieving profile information that includes attributes that may be stored separately from, or with, the content to which the profiles are being applied. In this manner, profiles can be shared in various environments and across various applications. Attributes that have corresponding attributes in other content can be applied to the other content, as long as each of the attributes is valid. In vehicle applications, the profile can be generated in a first vehicle, stored in a profile repository, and subsequently applied to a second vehicle.

Abstract: An ejector member (2) for removing waste from sheets on the fly in a machine (1) for processing sheet-form elements includes a comb (4) having a plurality of teeth (10). The comb (4) is configured to be able to adopt a low-throughput first position and at least one high-throughput second position. The center of the comb (4) is set back with respect to the lateral ends of the comb (4) in the high-throughput second position. The center of the comb (4) is set back further in the high-throughput second position than in the low-throughput first position. Also relates a machine for processing sheet-form elements including such an ejector member.

Abstract: A hair enhancing accessory is used during formation of a hairstyle such as a ponytail or a bun. The hair enhancing has a base rim which is placed next to or near the head and a body which adds volume to a chosen hairstyle, allowing hair to be positioned around the body. The body is separated into a lower body section and an upper body section. The lower body section and upper body section can combine to form a cylindrical lateral surface, a tapered lateral surface, or even two oppositely tapered surfaces that meet at a midsection. Potentially, a secondary lip can be incorporated adjacent to the upper body section. A hair retaining addition such as a hair band is used to secure hair around the body, and is prevented from sliding by the base rim, the secondary rim, the tapered body sections, or a combination thereof.

Abstract: A system that includes a styling tool configured to treat or shape a user's hair; and a client device configured to communicate with the styling tool and provide feedback to the user regarding a user's usage of the styling tool based at least in part on measured data captured by the styling tool. The styling tool may be a hairbrush that includes circuitry and/or sensors configured to detect one or more of sound, acceleration, force, rotation, hair humidity, and ambient temperature and humidity.

Abstract: An air-moving appliance includes a body defining a cavity, an inlet for airflow to enter the cavity, and an outlet for the airflow to exit the cavity. The air-moving appliance also includes an attachment configured to connect to the body in flow communication with at least one of the inlet and the outlet. The air-moving appliance further includes a grip feature configured to extend between and contact the attachment and the body when the attachment is connected to the body. The grip feature is configured to provide an interference fit between the attachment and the body and resist movement of the attachment relative to the body when the attachment is connected to the body.

Abstract: A cleaning brush for eliminating static electricity, including a conductive housing, wherein a containing slot is on a bottom surface of the conductive housing, and the conductive housing has two opposite end walls; and a conductive brush, which is embedded in the containing slot of the conductive housing, and is electrically connected to the conductive housing. Thus, the cleaning brush have both the functions for eliminating static electricity and removing dust.

Abstract: A vacuum grooming tool is disclosed that includes a vacuum nozzle attachable to a vacuum source and has a hollow body with a mouth opening. A grooming device selected from a variety of standard animal grooming hand tools, such as a shedding blade, rake or de-matting tool, may span the mouth opening. The grooming device is positioned such that the airflow created by the vacuum source flows over at least one side of the grooming device. A vacuum cleaning tool for removing any animal hair from a grooming tool is also disclosed. A vacuum plenum of the cleaning tool is attachable to a vacuum source and has an opening for cleaning the grooming tool in one pass. The cleaning tool can be mounted on a stationary support may also include a pivot-action mechanism that connects the vacuum grooming tool or the cleaning tool to the vacuum source.

Abstract: An apparatus for a “V” shaped comb. The comb gradually gets thicker from bottom to top. This comb is somewhat intended to be used like a traditional comb; however, the width of the comb keeps the hair spaced evenly to ensure a blended fade haircut. The sporadic teeth keep the hair in place while the trimmers cut the hair following the edge guide provided on the comb. This tool gives the stylist (user) the flexibility to provide a shorter fade or longer fade by adjusting the comb up or down on the head.

Abstract: A scalp protector for the application of free-flowing hair treatment agents, in which according to the invention a comb-like first bundle of tines (1) protruding from a first web (3) having tines extending essentially parallel to one another is provided, wherein a cover element which adjustably constricts the free space between the tines is provided. The invention therefore represents a mechanical barrier, which is inserted into the hair at the point to be treated and remains there during the duration of the treatment. Since according to the invention a cover element, which adjustably constricts the free space between the teeth, is provided, the cover element can primarily be selected so that the free space is enlarged and easy insertion into the hair is possible. In the further proceedings, the cover element can be adjusted so that the free space is constricted and the scalp is completely covered down to the regions in which the individual hairs aligned in the free space between the tines pass through.

Abstract: A hair implement, such as a comb, brush, or pick, is disclosed that includes a handle section containing a rotational bearing within an annular opening in the handle section. When the hair implement is not in use, it may be held on a user's finger and rotate out of the way without the need for the user to disengage his or her finger from the hair implement.

The comb has an upper or a basic part and a number of teeth attached to and pointing out from the upper or basic part, wherein the outer or free end of at least a portion of the teeth forms two curved shapes or curvatures for the touch of a scalp. The first curvature has a radius of curvature substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the teeth, and the second curvature is curved outwards in relation to the upper or basic part. The radius of curvature of the first curvature may be in the range of 3-14 cm.

Abstract: A device for delivering an agent to the skin or the hair or the fur of a recipient. In one form the device has a comb-like extent of tines which are of a carrier material that will melt on contact with skin and thereby deposit an agent that is mixed with the carrier. In other form there is an abrading material in the mixture so as to abrade the skin and thereby allow the agent to be deposited. In the latter case the agent may be an inoculant. The tines may also be placed on a glove so that the agent can be delivered by moving the tines over a selected area to deposit the agent. The device can be in the form of a finger condom having a tine strip. The methods allow delivery of the agent using the various forms of the device and to accomplish various purposes.

The haircut aid has a base section that protrudes away from a tine section providing a guide for the blade of a set of clippers, facilitates an even haircut, and protects the ears of the haircut subject from cuts. A method for cutting hair is also described where a set of clippers is run along the guide from by the base section and tine section of a haircut aid.

The comb includes a spine (17) having a raised portion (19, 21, 23) that can advantageously be used to relocate or reorient strand connections to the comb or combs of the hair accessory relative to the plane of the comb, and that can provide a structure into or behind which strand connections, terminations and/or segments can be tucked. Abstract: A massage comb is disclosed for applying ointments directly to the scalp of a person. The comb consists of an upper and a lower section with the lower section having hollow teeth with openings at the bottom of each of the teeth. The comb may be constructed of bamboo so that the ointment may penetrate through the bamboo material and apply the ointment to the strands of the hair. The upper and lower section are fastened to each other by way of dove tail system to allow easy access for the ointment to be filled into the lower section.

Abstract: A method of treating lice includes the steps of: (a) blending a treatment mixture; (b) applying the treatment mixture to a scalp or hair; and (c) applying a first shampoo to the scalp or the hair. The treatment mixture used in this method may contain olive oil and dimethicone. The lice treatment mixture may further contain between about 2 and 6 drops of rosemary oil. In yet another embodiment the lice treatment mixture may still further contain at least one of the following ingredients: beeswax, vitamin E, citronella oil, tea tree oil, eucalyptus oil, mint oil, coconut oil, peppermint oil, and lavender oil.

Abstract: A hairdressing comb for use in highlighting services. Used as a weaving tool it will separate a number of thin hair sub-sections from a selected wide hair section. These thin hair sub-sections will be placed on a foil to be colored or lightened. This comb consists of regular comb-like teeth for combing hair, a pick located at side of spine of comb at an angle and extends length of comb. What is new in this comb is the placement of pick on the side of comb and a flat handle for easy maneuverability.

Abstract: A hair styling comb comprising a body having a handle, a release cone, and a guide measuring system that are combined to precisely separate hair in orderly rows for braiding. The guide measuring system facilitates successive measurement of a partial circumference of spaced apart sections of the scalp. Each section is radially measured by successive placement of the comb measuring section upon the scalp, followed by linear movements of the comb until a peripheral measurement is approximated by the combined readings. The spaced apart circumference regions are reduced to increments by dividing their length measurements by the number of desired braid rows the stylist is creating. The release cone is placed in the grooves of the bottom of the braid and ten slid through smoothly upwardly to the scalp of the nape line. The release cone releases the grips of the braids.

Abstract: A device for packaging and method for applying a product configured to be applied on fibers. One example of the device includes a base incorporating a recess to accommodate a cup. This example of the device also includes a cup forming a seat for receiving a stick of product and a driving means for moving the cup relative to the base between a stowed position of the cup in the recess and a usage position in which an applicator portion of the stick emerges at least partially from an opening of the recess. The device includes a plurality of separator/comb elements extending around at least a portion of the opening of the recess, the separator/comb elements being configured so as to engage with the fibers to separate/comb them simultaneously to, or after the application of, the product onto the fibers by the applicator portion. A method is of using the device is also provided.

The application elements are arranged such that a first group of application elements of a first row is superposable, along a longitudinal axis (X) of the support, with a second group of application elements of a second row. The application elements of the second group have a mean flexibility and/or a mean height that is greater respectively than the mean flexibility and/or the mean height of the application elements of the first group. In addition, the mean of the spacings between application elements that make up the second group is less than the mean of the spacings between application elements that make up the first group.

Abstract: Stylin Kombs address the problem of separating hair that is not being styled from the portion that is being styled without the use of pins, short combs, rubber band or braiding. Styling hair can be a quicker process once the “komb” which fits the hair is pressed down onto the hair that needs to be separated while the other hair is being worked on. Once the stylist is ready for more hair to work with the Stylin Komb is then pulled upward and removed from the separated portion of the hair and placed on to the next part of the hair that needs to be separated. This process is repeated until the styling process is completed. Stylin kombs can also be used to part the hair during the hair separation process. This “komb” can also be used an accessory with or without decorative flowers, cords and ribbon. At least two teeth may extend from the support in directions that are not parallel to one another. At least one of the first and second rows may include two teeth each extending, at least partially, on either side of a separation surface extending along that row.

Abstract: The spring hair comb consisted of the handle and the compression spring. The teeth of the comb are made of the coils of the compression spring. The thickness and spaces of the teeth depend on the size of the compression spring. Abstract: The eyelash comb of the present invention is comprised of two curved limbs joined or hinged at one end. Each limb has a toothed section for combing the eyelashes. The teeth are triangular and so positioned on the each toothed section that they intermesh when the limbs are pressed closed. Abstract: The present invention is a curling iron accessory that is used to protect sensitive areas, such as ears, forehead, neck and scalp, from painful hot iron burns and burn scars that are often the result of using heated hair devices such as curling irons and straightening irons. The present invention is a wearable, expandable, adjustable comb, which holds the ears down painlessly while the consumer uses both hands to curl her hair. Abstract: Disclosed are a cumulative hair-dyeing temporary hairdye comprising 0.01 to 3% by weight of an acid dye as a colorant, 0.1 to 10% by weight of a nonionic or anionic silicone base resin, 3 to 20% by weight of a hair-dyeing aid, 30 to 80% by weight of a lower alcohol and 5 to 50% by-weight of water and having a pH of 2 to 5 and a viscosity of 100 mPa·s or less and a production process for a cumulative hair-dyeing temporary hairdye, wherein the respective components are blended in such an order that at least a nonionic or anionic silicone base resin and a lower alcohol are mixed to prepare a vehicle, and then the other components are blended therewith and stirred.

Abstract: A hair grooming brush with a plurality or rows of curved wavy bristles, rather than traditional straight bristles found on brushes and combs. The curvature of the bristles produces a springiness to the bristles when pressure is applied during the combing action. The springiness of the numerous rows of bristles, translates into a massaging effect upon the hair and scalp. Rows of curved bristles are more effective at untangling the hair. The three different sections of the bristle, the lower, middle and tip sections, can be either straight or curved. Additionally the rows can alternate between various formations of bristles.
