Abstract: A pulley removal system used to remove a pulley attached to an internal combustion engine includes a plurality of puller jaw members adapted to be detachably and radially connected to a hub member. Each jaw member comprises an elongated body having a top surface, an underside surface, and first and second opposed ends. The first end is adapted to be attached to the hub member, and the second end has hooked tip free to grasp a flange of a pulley. Abstract: A device and method for securely removing a sewer cap from a sewer line that may be under pressure is disclosed. The device comprises a tube adapted to tightly fit onto the end tee of the sewer line that contains the cap and a piston containing a handle configured to fit and for movement inside the tube. A discharge port on the tube is adapted to discharge fluids into a container. The piston has a recess adapted to tightly fit over the square protrusion typically present on sewer line caps. To remove the sewer cap, the recess in the piston is threaded onto the protrusion on sewer line cap. The tube is then threaded over the piston and tightened over the end tee of the sewer line. Turning the handle to loosen the handle allows any discharge to safely drain through the discharge port.

Abstract: A lens deblocking system (1) used for removing a lens (51) from an edging block (22). The system (1) includes opposed movable arms (4, 5) that are constrained to travel longitudinally within an aperture (3) so as to grip a lens (51) that is adhesively secured to an edging block by a pad (52). The edging block (22) is held within a clamp (11) that resides on a collet closer (63) which may be rotated by activating an air cylinder (82). A cam push block (91) is linked to file cylinder (82) as well as a cam arm (98) that is attached to a spindle (96) extending from the collet closer (63). Abstract: A reactor cartridge includes a plurality of spaced-apart monoliths, formed along a tube or other mandrel. Each monolith is formed of a pair of flat and corrugated metal strips, spirally wound around the tube. These strips could be made of solid or screen material. The corrugations are skewed, such that the monolith imparts a swirl to gases flowing through it. The corrugations of the strips in adjacent monoliths are oriented differently, so that successive monoliths impart different swirls to the gases, so as to promote mixing of gases and better heat transfer from the exterior to the interior of the cartridge. An insertion and removal tool simplifies the procedure for stacking such cartridges in a long pipe, or for removing cartridges from the pipe. The all-metal construction facilitates heat transfer through the entire reactor, and avoids the problems associated with packed ceramic beds.
