Abstract: The present invention is related to the method for surface-alloying comprising the steps of: (a) plating alloying ingredients on the surface of metal or alloy substrate to form plated layer, and (b) melting this surface using a laser beam to form an alloyed layer of which composition is different from that of base material. And, the method of this invention may further include surface-reforming method of metal or alloy substrate. And the method of this invention may further include surface-repairing method of damaged metal or alloy substrate. Using the method of this invention, an alloyed layer, which has improved resistance to grain boundary related material degradation phenomena, e.g. stress corrosion cracking, abrasion, fatigue, erosion, and so on, can be formed.

The flash channel includes a linear portion which is at an angle of more than 0 degrees and less than 90 degrees with respect to a bottom wall of the chamber. In a preferred embodiment, the linear portion of the flash channel intersects the center of the bottom wall of the black powder chamber. The breech plug further has a threaded bore for receiving a nipple over which a percussion cap to be struck by a trigger actuated hammer is placed. The flash channel also includes a curved portion which extends between the bore and the linear portion.
Abstract: An apparatus for dispensing drinking water including of a chamber in which a container packed with drinking water is mounted, a conduit connected with the container in the chamber to dispense drinking water through the apparatus, and sterilizer installed adjacent the conduit means to apply sterilization with substantial heat thereto. The sterilizing means may include automatic control system to control automatically sterilizing with heat. The conduit may includes a storage area for storing drinking water within the conduit, and the storage area may includes two tanks for storing drinking water, one is a cold water tank including a refrigeration device to chill the drinking water, and the other is a hot water tank including heating device to heat the drinking water. The sterilization with heat may be done by heating the conduit with heaters installed surrounding thereof, or may be done by circulating hot water which is stored in the hot water tank through the apparatus.

Abstract: Apparatus for manufacturing cold formed shaped forms of packaging having at least one recess from a metal-plastic laminate. Examples of such shaped forms of packaging are the base parts of push-through packs or blister packs. The apparatus is such that the laminate is held between a retaining tool and a die. The die exhibits at least one opening and a stamp is driven into the die opening causing the laminate to be shape-formed into a packaging, correspondingly exhibiting one or more recesses. The die and the retaining tool exhibit facing edge regions and the die, within the edge region, exhibits a shoulder region that surrounds the die opening or openings. The surface of the shoulder region lies 0.
Abstract: The well known slip casting process for the production of ceramic green parts, in which hardening is achieved by water removal with porous molds, is characterized by disadvantages in terms of strength, shrinkage during drying and problems with cracking during drying. The present invention avoids these disadvantages and produces ceramic green parts by changing the surface potential of powder particles in the slip instead of by removing water. Further more the coagulation strength is increased by adding polymers or extremely fine divided colloidal particles.
