Abstract: The invention relates to new regenerable filtration adjuvants which are usable for the filtration of liquids, particularly beer at the end of the secondary fermentation storage, characterized in that they comprise synthetic or natural incompressible polymer grains or natural incompressible grains grains having a sphericity coefficient varying between approximately 0.6 and 0.9. The invention also relates to a method for regenerating a filtration adjuvant.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a device for cooling molded parts and for transporting the molded parts from a receiving position to a holding/ejecting position. The device of the present invention has particular utility with an index molding machine having a rotary turret block with at least two movable mold halves thereon. The cooling device includes a cooling station assembly having a plurality of blowing tubes for applying a cooling fluid to external surfaces of molded parts, a take-off plate having a plurality of holders for receiving cooled molded parts and a connecting plate connecting the take-off plate and the cooling station assembly. The connecting plate is connected to the take-off plate by a pivotable connection and is connected to the cooling station assembly by a rigid connection. The connecting plate is movable along an axis substantially parallel to one of the faces upon which the molded parts to be cooled and removed are positioned.

Abstract: The invention relates to a first gypsum-based composite article reinforced with glass fibers. This first article has a first member made of a hard gypsum, a second member made of a soft gypsum, and a mat made of the glass fibers. The mat is embedded in the article in a manner that the first and second members are bonded together by means of the mat. This first article is superior in resistance to external force acting thereon and to severe environmental conditions, even if the gypsum-based article is light in weight and thin in thickness. The invention further relates to a second gypsum-based composite article having a base plate, a glass fiber mat bonded to the base plate, and a gypsum layer formed on the glass fiber mat such that glass fibers of the glass fiber mat are embedded in the gypsum layer. This second article also has superior characteristics as those of the first article.

Abstract: An ice-cooled server installed on a drink container has an outer shell body having a truncated-cone shaped step bottom portion. A spiraled cooling pipe is fixedly set in a refrigerant receiver which is fixedly set inside of the outer shell body. A dispense cock is disposed at an outer periphery of said outer shell body and connected to an end of the cooling pipe. The other end of the cooling pipe is connected to a dispense head fixed at a lower and center portion of the outer shell body through a supporting plate. This construction facilitates the installation and detachment of the ice-cooled server to and from the drink container and improves a cooling ability of the server.
Abstract: Valve mechanism for controlling the fluid flows when refueling a fuel tank provided with a filler neck, having: a housing in which there are constructed a first opening, a second opening and a third opening; a valve member which is mounted movably in the housing between a first and a second position and has at least one sealing surface; a valve seat which in the housing is arranged between the openings and cooperates with the sealing surface(s) of the valve member in order, in the first position, to set up a first fluid connection between the first opening and the second opening, and a second fluid connection between the second opening and the third opening, and, in the second position, to interrupt the first and the second fluid connections; and a third fluid connection which is constructed in the housing between the second opening and the third opening and has a higher flow resistance than the second fluid connection.
Abstract: A composition of matter is provided including an inorganic porous material having wall portions defining mesopore-sized channels having a mean diameter of between about 15 .ANG. and about 100 .ANG. and a narrow diameter distribution of less than or equal to about 30 .ANG., the material having a void volume from the mesopore-sized channels of at least about 0.1 cc/g and a surface area of at least about 500 m.sup.2 /g and having a number of hydroxyl groups of at least about 1.5 mmol of hydroxyl groups per gram of material, and exhibiting thermal and hydrothermal stability at temperatures up to about 500.degree. C. Catalytic materials incorporating aluminum and other active metals, as well as a process for preparing the composition, are also disclosed.

Abstract: A shutter unit 17 of a bill validator comprises a blocking member 18 movable between an interceptive position for closing the through hole 74 of the shutter unit 17 and a release position away from the through hole 74 for allowing passage of the bill through the through hole 74 into a slot 13 of the validating unit 20; a control unit 48 movable between an inactive position for barring movement of the blocking member 18 to the release position and an operative position for allowing movement of the blocking member 18 to the release position; and an actuator 50 for shifting the control unit 48 between the inactive and operative positions. When the blocking member 18 is forcibly moved to the release position in an unauthorized manner, the control unit 48 in the inactive position effectively inhibits and resists movement of the blocking member 18 to the release position.

In order to improve sealing and through flow, the pump piston bush (6) is surrounded by a sealing sleeve (50), the pin (20) has a second longitudinal bore (57) and the sealing space (53) is flow-connected to the return orifice via a second transverse bore (58) and a third longitudinal bore (59) in the pin (20).

Abstract: An herbal sweetening, preservative and therapeutic composition includes triterpene glycoside composition and extract of licorice, wherein the composition has sweetening and anti-microbial properties, wherein the triterpene glycoside composition is standardized for 80% (wt.) of mogrosides obtained from a plant selected from the group consisting of the members of Cucurbitaceae family, Momordica family and combination thereof, and wherein the extract of licorice is the ethanol soluble and water insoluble fraction. Products including such compositions are also disclosed.

A first mold cavity is filled via a feeding unit in engagement with a first mold cavity with plastic containing a volume expanding agent, the filled first mold cavity and feeding unit are moved away from each other and a second mold cavity and the feeding unit are moved into engagement with each other, the second mold cavity is filled with plastic containing a volume expanding agent via the feeding unit, the plastic is expanded in the first mold cavity via the volume expanding agent while the second mold cavity is in engagement with the feeding unit, and the expanded article is ejected from the first mold cavity.
