Abstract: In a method of coating easily oxidisable materials by plasma powder build-up welding of additive materials in powder form using alternating current or direct current with superimposed alternating current to produce a plasma transferred arc for powder build-up welding in accordance with patent application No 196 26 941.5 a CuNi-alloy is used as an additive welding material with additions (in % by weight) of:______________________________________ Fe below about 10; Cr below about 5; B below about 4; Si below about 4; C with about 1.5; ______________________________________with a degree of mixing of more than 40% by volume.
Abstract: A copper base alloy consisting essentially of tin in an amount from about 0.1 to about 1.5% by weight, phosphorous in an amount from about 0.01 to about 0.35% by weight, iron in an amount from about 0.01 to about 0.8% by weight, zinc in an amount from about 1.0 to about 15% by weight, and the balance essentially copper, including phosphide particles uniformly distributed throughout the matrix, is described. The alloy is characterized by an excellent combination of physical properties. The process of forming the copper base alloy described herein includes casting, homogenizing, rolling, process annealing and stress relief annealing.
Abstract: The present invention relates to stack mold linkages for creating unequal strokes for use in an injection molding machine for making different sized molded parts. The stack mold linkages comprise linkages for moving each of at least two mold assemblies between a mold closed position and a mold open position and for separating the mold halves forming the mold assemblies by unequal stroke lengths.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for joining two metal members together. The process comprises the steps of providing two parent metal members to be joined and a prealloyed interlayer foil having a melting point depressant; creating a joint interface by positioning the foil between two spaced apart surfaces of the two parent metal members to be joined together; applying a load substantially transverse to the joint interface which does not cause deformation of the surfaces; and applying localized rapid heating in the area of the joint interface at a temperature sufficient to effect bonding of the two metallic members while causing little or no degradation of microstructural or mechanical properties of the parent metal and a coarsening of grain size in rim portions of the metal members.

Abstract: Process for the production of a composite sheet (90) comprising a cellular core (41) and at least one outer layer (42) by bonding the outer layer (42) to the cellular core (41), for example with the aid of an adhesive film (84) under pressure and at elevated temperature, where the adhesive film (84) may initially extend over the entire surface and breaks up in the region of the honeycomb interior under the action of heat and on exposure to a gaseous medium, concentrating at the points of contact between the cellular core (41) and the outer layer (42). The outer layer (42) itself has an adhesive layer or an adhesive film (83) on the side facing the cellular core. The outer layer bonds to the cellular core under pressure and at elevated temperature.
Abstract: The invention concerns a dental implant with a shaped, bone contact section for insertion into the tooth socket of a jaw and a built up section used for fastening a crown or similar material, where the bone contact section has an apical extension section which is made for the insertion into an artificially produced recess in the jaw which deepens the base of the tooth socket.

Abstract: Connection of two longitudinal sections (10, 22) that are at an angle to each other, each longitudinal section (10, 22) having two connecting sides (12) and two wall sides (14), where at least one connecting side (12) of each section (10, 22) exhibits a groove (24) that is undercut on both sides and on both sides of the undercut groove (24) an integral longitudinal flange (30). Abstract: A process for preparing high carbon content briquettes includes providing a particulate material which includes iron particles including iron oxide in an amount of at least about 4% based on weight of the material, and carbon particles in an amount greater than about 2% based on weight of the material; and subjecting the material to briquetting temperature and pressure so as to provide stable agglomerate briquettes of the material.
Abstract: The invention relates to a central electric system for a motor vehicle, having at least two pressed screens arranged parallel to one another with a distance between them, said pressed screens having web conductors formed by punching. For simple manufacture of the central electric system, the disclosure proposes that each pressed screens be extrusion coated with a holding frame of plastic; then the web conductors that are connected to one another at separation points are separated from one another; terminal contacts are bent at a right angle so they project away; the holding frames are assembled, and bent sections of web conductors of a pressed screen, cropped as web conductor connectors, are electrically connected to web conductors of another pressed screen e.g., by ultrasonic welding. The disclosure makes it possible to manufacture central electric systems with complex wiring and cabling with a few pressed screens by a simple method.
Abstract: Stationary and movable platens are provided having mold halves affixed thereto. The movable platen is reciprocatingly moved between a mold open and a mold closed position, and a clamping force is applied to the movable platen in the mold closed position, and a mold break force is applied to the movable platen in the mold closed position. Abstract: Ultra-fine-grained thermoplastics such as polyolefins, for example, having an average particle size D.sub.50 of less than 400 .mu.m and are present in a mixture along with a filler where the amount of filler material in the mixture amounts to 40 to 90% with respect to the mixture. As such ultra-fine-grained thermoplastics cannot be obtained by means of the normal milling process of if so then only with considerable expenditure, the process for manufacturing ultra-fine-grained thermoplastics is performed in such a manner that a mixture containing 10 to 60 wt. % thermoplastics with respect to the mixture and 40 to 90 wt. % filler material with respect to the mixture is ground e.g. in an impact pulverizer, as a result of which thermoplastic particles with an average particle size D.sub.50 less than 400 .mu.m are produced.

Abstract: The present invention is a pharmaceutical compound which is used for the preparation of TAXOL.RTM. as an injection solution which is effective in clinical utilization as a cancer-inhibiting drug. The addition of calcium disodium edetate and tromethamine to conventional injections solutions enhances the stability of the solution and reduces the side effects normally associated with administration of TAXOL.RTM.. The compound comprises dehydrated ethanol, polyepoxilated castor oil, tromethamine, and calcium disodium edetate in specified ranges.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a modular combined grease oil system for lubricating moveable parts of a machine and for recovering oil for reuse. The system includes a lubrication unit for automatically applying a lubricant such as a grease to various points on a machine, such as the clamping unit of an injection molding machine, after a predetermined number of operation cycles. The system further includes an oil recovery unit for retrieving oil from at least one hydraulic unit to prevent leakage, for collecting the retrieved oil, for removing contaminants from the collected oil, and for transferring the oil to a storage tank for reuse. A method of operation of the system is also described.
