Abstract: A magnet valve having a rod-like base body for insertion into a stepped bore of a hydraulic block through which a valve tappet reaches a valve closing ball and on whose face end remote to an armature a cup-shaped sleeve is mounted. A valve seat of the magnet valve is embodied on the bottom of the cup-shaped sleeve. In order to make a large flow cross section available for a flow through the magnet valve in one flow direction, a check valve is integrated with the magnet valve and that to this end flow openings are disposed on an imaginary circle in the bottom of the cup-shaped sleeve. The openings are closed by an annular valve closing body of the check valve. The magnet valve of the invention is intended particularly for use as a brake pressure buildup valve for a wheel brake cylinder of a slip-controlled vehicle brake system.
Abstract: The invention relates to a piston pump having a piston that is axially displaceable in a bush. In order to keep the piston in the bush in a manner secured against loss, a tubular filter is secured to the bush in the extension thereof; the filter has a smaller inside diameter than the bush and in this way keeps the piston in the bush.

Abstract: A piston compressor has a valve support, which closes a compression chamber and has an intake valve. A non-rotatable lamella can be moved between two positions, in one position the lamella lifts up from the valve support, leaving intake openings unblocked and in another position, the lamella closes the intake openings. A device is provided on the piston compressor for interrupting the supply. This device has a plate that is disposed between the lamella and the valve support and can be moved into two positions. The plate has openings, which continue the intake openings of the valve support. In the one position of the plate, its intake openings are covered by the lamella. In another position of the plate, intake openings thereof and the intake openings of the valve support are left unblocked by through openings in the lamella. The piston compressor can be used in compressed air brake systems of commercial vehicles.
Abstract: The invention relates to a hydraulic brake system of a vehicle comprising one wheel brake valve preceding each wheel brake cylinder and one return feed pump connected parallel to each of the wheel brake valves and connected to the suction sides of the wheel brake cylinders. For anti-lock control, the return feed pump is put into operation, and by clocked triggering of a wheel brake valve of a vehicle wheel that is tending to lock, the brake fluid pressure in the wheel brake cylinder of this vehicle wheel is modulated. To realize a traction control device, the invention sets forth a switchover valve in a brake line from the master brake cylinder to the wheel brake cylinder of a driven vehicle wheel.

Abstract: A piston pump for a slip-controlled motor vehicle brake system, with a piston which, by means of a piston restoring spring, is pressed with an end face that constitutes a strike face against a circumference of a cam. The cam is driven to rotate, wherein the cam is used to drive the piston in a reciprocating stroke motion. In order to be able to inexpensively manufacture the piston as an injection molded part made of plastic, the piston is provided with a cam strike piece made of wear resistant material on the strike face which is in contact with the cam.
Abstract: A fuel injection system with a fuel injection pump whose high-pressure delivery is determined by an electrically controlled valve that controls a discharge conduit. The phase of the high-pressure delivery is determined by the closing of the control valve. In order to carry out an injection that is divided into a pre-injection and a main injection, and in order to simplify the triggering of the electrically controlled valve, the cam driving the pump piston is formed so that the cam presents a region (P) in which the injection between a pre-injection and a main injection is interrupted. The pump piston remains in the position it has reached for pre-injection, moves backward, or continues to move slowly.
Abstract: A transverse sealing device in a tubular bag forming machine that has two sealing jaws with flat sealing faces disposed in an interstice between two pairs of clamping jaws, and also has a severing knife for longitudinally dividing the crosswise seam made by the sealing jaws. In order to remove the severing knife from the thermal influence of the sealing jaws, the severing knife is disposed and is movable separately from the sealing jaws and in a position of repose is located outside the range of motion of the sealing jaws. To that end, an aperture is provided in one of the clamping jaws for receiving the severing knife in the position of repose, and an arm supports the severing knife and also protrudes through the aperture.
Abstract: A fuel injection system for internal combustion engines in which a high pressure fuel reservoir is provided, from which fuel is supplied to injection valves in an electrically controlled manner. In order to reduce damage which occurs when there are leaks from the high pressure reservoir, the high pressure reservoir is enclosed by a sheath that can capture the emerging leakage fuel.

Abstract: The energy supply device has a compressor for supplying at least one compressed air consumer. On the outlet end, the compressor communicates with a pneumatically controllable outlet valve. Furthermore, two pressure regulating valves are provided, with which control air can be conveyed to the outlet valve in order to switch the outlet valve into the outlet position. The first pressure regulating valve can be switched by control electronics in accordance with a pressure sensor that detects the pressure on the consumer end. The second pressure regulating valve can be switched directly by the pressure on the consumer end. The second pressure regulating valve switches at a greater pressure on the consumer end than the first pressure regulating valve. In the event of a failure of the control electronics or of the first pressure regulating valve, the second pressure regulating valve takes its place.
Abstract: The invention relates to a hydraulic motor vehicle power brake system having a hydraulic pump which is connected to a hydraulic reservoir as an external energy reservoir and is connected to wheel brake cylinders, wherein the wheel brake cylinders are preceded by inlet valves and are followed by outlet valves. To improve the adjustability of a desired brake pressure in the wheel brake cylinders and to cut costs, the inlet and outlet valves are identical as continuous pressure limiting solenoid valves or as continuous pressure differential solenoid valves.

Abstract: The invention relates to a high pressure reciprocating pump, for a fuel injection system of an internal combustion engine, having at least one piston, which is displaceably supported in a piston guide provided in a housing and therein defines a work chamber. Supported in the housing is a drive shaft, on which a crank element is provided on which a stroke ring, is not rotatable in the housing. The crank element is rotatably supported, the stroke ring has a slide bearing face, associated with the piston on which face the piston is supported with a slide face, so that the piston can be acted upon by the drive shaft. To reduce the danger of so-called seizing of the bearing faces moving back and forth on one another when poorly lubricating media such as fuel and in particular gasoline are being pumped, it is provided that a relief chamber, formed by a recess in the slide face disposed on the piston and open toward the slide bearing face on the stroke ring, communicates with the work chamber.
Abstract: In known retaining devices for electric motors, rotationally flexible retaining elements on the order of leaf springs are provided between a receiving housing and the electric motor and serve to decouple noise of the electric motor. The novel retaining device for an electric motor includes retaining elements that extend axially between a receiving housing and the motor housing. These retaining elements enable low-frequency decoupling below the frequencies to be decoupled; on the occurrence of natural resonance when the electric motor is turned on and off or there are shocks from outside, the torsional motion of the retaining elements is limited by stop elements. The retaining device is especially well suited to electric motors of blowers.

Abstract: The invention is based on a dual-circuit anti-lock vehicle brake system (10) with a tandem master cylinder (12), a switchover valve (14) following the latter, a brake pressure modulation valve assembly (18, 20) that has a brake pressure buildup valve (18) and a brake pressure reduction valve (20) for each wheel brake cylinder (16), and a return pump (24). To enable building up brake pressure rapidly for vehicle dynamics control, the invention proposes one additional pump (28) in each brake circuit (I, II), whose intake side is connected directly to the master cylinder (12) and which feeds in the direction of the wheel brake cylinders (16) connected to to this brake circuit (I, II). As a result, a brake pressure buildup is possible in each wheel brake cylinder (16), even when the master cylinder (12) is not actuated, which buildup can be modulated for individual wheels in a manner known per se.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for injecting fuel into combustion chambers of an internal combustion engine, in which the total injection quantity for the engine is split into a main injection quantity and a small postinjection quantity, the latter being closely coupled to the end of the main injection quantity and being injected with the same fuel pressure as the main injection quantity. This reduces soot emissions at otherwise identical engine operating parameters. Because of the interaction among soot emissions, NO.sub.x emissions and specific consumption, the postinjection, while soot and NO.sub.x emissions are kept the same, can also be employed to lower the specific consumption of the engine.

Abstract: A feed pump having a pair of gears in a housing that mesh with each other and are driven to rotate in a pump chamber. The pair of gears supply fuel from an intake chamber connected to a storage tank, along a supply conduit in the housing constituted between the end face of the gears and the circumference wall of the pump chamber, and into a pressure chamber. In order to introduce lateral forces acting on the gears directly into the pump housing the gears are each supported on a housing pin, which is embodied as being of one piece with the housing of the feed pump and protrudes into the housing.
Abstract: The invention relates to a sealing unit for a fuel pressure sensor for sealing an at least virtually flat sealing joint between the sensor and a component that carries it via a screw connection, wherein a round sealing washer with a central bore is disposed between the threaded bolt-shaped end of the sensor housing with its central sensor bore and the bottom of the threaded bore of the component with its central pressure fluid opening. A pin is formed onto the threaded bolt-shaped end of the sensor housing, which pin centers the sealing washer, fixing it in a positive and/or frictional, non-positive manner, and rises above an end face that serves as a bearing surface for the sealing washer. The pin ends in an end face and has a length that is shorter than the thickness of the sealing washer. A sealing unit is produced that assures a reliable sealing function and permits a simple installation and disassembly of the sealing washer while reclaiming the sealing washer in a sealing position.
