Abstract: A control device in which if the control device fails the throttle valve reaches an emergency operation position by use of only one spring. If the control device fails, the single spring can move a throttle valve to an emergency operation position, located between two terminal positions. This is achieved by various-sized speed-changing gears between the two spring connections and an intermediate member. No additional spring is needed for this. The control device is suitable particularly for vehicles that have a throttle-type internal combustion engine.
Abstract: A flexible container for a particulate material includes a main body having a sealable input opening in an upper portion thereof, and a sleeve extending from a lower portion of the main body. A connector is connected to a distal end which is folded along a side of the sleeve for storage. In carrying out a method of removing and transmitting the particulate material to another destination, the connector is connected to a carrier gas control device which supplies a carrier gas to the container that is mixed with the particulate material then the device has a transmitting pipe which transmits the particulate material to a container in a distant place. A suction is provided by the container in order to draw the particulate material to the container.
Abstract: The invention relates to a hydraulic unit having an hydraulic block, with magnet valves inserted in apertures therein. The magnet valves include protruding valve domes on which coils are mounted. The magnet valves and coils are covered by a covering hood. For sealing purposes, a platelike sealing element, includes a beadlike edge which forms an outer sealing body. The outer sealing body rests between an edge of the covering hood and the hydraulic block, and includes inner bead-like sealing bodies, which rest between the coils of the magnet valves and the hydraulic block. The inner bead-like sealing bodies are integral, via a diaphragm or the like, with the outer sealing body. The sealing body includes a multiple sealing at the edge of the covering hood and individual sealing of each magnet valve. In addition, the inner sealing bodies act as spring elements, which press the coils against retaining struts in the interior of the covering hood and thereby fixes the coils on the valve dome.
Abstract: A mixture delivery device for introducing a reducing agent into an exhaust gas system of an internal combustion engine in which, a urea-water solution is introduced into a region of the exhaust gas system, upstream of a catalytic converter, through the introduction of compressed air, in order to bring about the reduction of nitrogen oxides in the exhaust gas of the internal combustion engine. The mixture delivery device includes a mixture carrying line, with a first section that extends laterally to the exhaust gas flow and a second section that extends concentrically to a longitudinal axis of the exhaust gas system. The mixture carrying line is inserted into the exhaust gas system, wherein the urea-water solution is injected in the form of a cone into the exhaust gas upstream of the catalytic converter via blow-out openings embodied radially in the second section.
Abstract: An apparatus for separating water contaminants from a fuel which has a specific gravity which is lower than that of water. Contaminated fuel is drawn from a bottom of a tank and passed into a separator. The water stays at the bottom of the separator and is drained off. The fuel is forced upwardly from which any droplets of water flow along collector plates and fall to the bottom of the separator. The fuel is passed through a filter which removes any particles of matter then the fuel is directed back to the tanks. The process can be repeated for as many times as necessary to cleanse the fuel of water and contaminates.
Abstract: A fuel injection pump for adjusting the injection onset by an injection adjuster piston. The piston is embodied as a follower piston of a control slide disposed in the piston on one side the piston encloses a work chamber and is acted upon by the pressure in this work chamber counter to the force of a restoring spring, and is connected to a substantially stationary part of a cam drive of the fuel injection pump. To avoid feedback of pressure surges on the control slide and its adjustment, the inlet cross section of the connecting line is embodied as an elongated cross section extending in the displacement direction of the control slide. A more problem-free adjustment of the control slide is thus obtained, and hence also a more-precise, vibration-free adjustment of the injection adjuster piston and of the injection onset is obtained.
Abstract: A table arrangement for mounting on the steering wheel of a motor vehicle having a table top and a container-shaped bottom part, as well as an adjusting device for determining the angular position of the table top in relation to the bottom part. The table arrangement may be hooked on the steering wheel by an anchoring device that allows the table to slide towards the driver.
Abstract: A fuel injection valve for internal combustion engines is already known in which the valve seat body is produced by multiple complicated work processes. In the novel valve, a valve seat body of simple design that can be made economically is used. The valve seat body (16) is made from sheet metal by stamping and deep drawing and has a cup shape with a bottom (19) of the seat body and an annular edge (20) of the seat body. A valve seat (24) is formed in the bottom (19) of the seat body. An injection port disk (34) is joined by welding to the valve seat body (16). The fuel injection valve is especially suitable for fuel injection systems of mixture-compressing internal combustion engines with externally supplied ignition (FIG. 1).
Abstract: A gas inlet member is fixed to a valve body and an upper part stem and a lower part stem are inserted slidably into a vertical stem opening above the gas inlet member. A valve member is provided in the gas inlet member and a gas flow passage is formed. A ring-like seal member is mounted onto the upper part stem and an O-ring is fixed to the lower part stem. A part of the valve member disposed at the lower end portion of the valve body is merely inserted into a gas container. It is possible to carry out a stable operation of the gas supply valve in spite of a change of environment due to vibration or heat while driving a vehicle.
Abstract: A pressure sensor for detecting the pressure of a medium bounded by a wall, in particular for detecting the pressure in the pump work chamber of a fuel injection pump, with a housing that is disposed in a through bore of the central screw plug of the fuel injection pump. The housing has a separate front housing part, which is welded to a measuring element support and together with this measuring element support, a measuring element, a pressure transmission element, and a membrane that constitutes the bottom of the front housing part, constitutes a measurement head that is definitely braced in the pressure transmission direction and cannot be disassembled. The measurement head contacts the through bore and other components of the pressure sensor exclusively by way of an outer flange, which is disposed on the outer circumference of the measurement head.

Abstract: A device for decanting a pressurized liquid into packaging containers, such as ampules, vials, or the like, having a reservoir for the liquid and a distributor that is connected to the reservoir via a supply line. A sterilizing filter is interposed in the supply line. In order to make it possible for the distributor to be completely emptied, the device embodies a separate pressure connection which applies a second pressure on the distributor so that the liquid disposed in the distributor is acted on with a second gas pressure (P2).
Abstract: A media divider has a divider piston, which is received in a cylinder bore and embodied as a tubular deep-drawn part. Two pairs of a sealing ring and an annular guide part disposed side by side are provided, whose axial spacing is defined by at least one spacer bushing disposed coaxially with the divider piston. The two pairs comprising the sealing ring and guide part as well as the spacer bushing may be axially fixed either in the cylinder bore or on the divider piston. The media divider may be used in the form of a plunger or as a reservoir in a fluid-carrying brake system.
Abstract: A process for leak testing in fuel injection pumps that have a pump housing that can be plugged into a motor housing, in which an outlet of the fuel injection pump, which feeds into an annular chamber that is divided by sealing rings and is normally discharged by way of a line, is closed with a material in order to carry out a leak test. The material is plastically deformable and dissolves with the heating of the fuel, and due to its plasticity, produces a sealed closure of the annular chamber in relation to the interior of the fuel injection pump so that the annular chamber can be loaded with a testing pressure via the line.
Abstract: The invention relates to a high-pressure pump for fuel delivery in fuel injection systems of internal combustion engines, which includes a tank, a pre-feed pump, and the high-pressure pump. The pre-feed pump aspirates a total fuel flow from the tank and this total fuel flow is divided into a lubricating flow, which is conveyed through the high-pressure pump for the purpose of lubrication, and a delivery flow, which is acted on with high pressure by the high-pressure pump and is delivered to a common distributor rail. The fuel injection system prevents damage that could occur during operation. Damage is prevented because the total fuel flow is conveyed through the high-pressure pump for the purpose of lubrication, wherein a metering unit for the total fuel flow is provided in the high-pressure pump or in a return and assures that only a predetermined delivery flow is acted on with high pressure in the high-pressure pump.
Abstract: A fuel injection device for internal combustion engines in which the motion of a fuel injection valve member is controlled by the pressure in a control chamber. The pressure in the control chamber is controlled by a control valve whose valve member is actuated by way of a hydraulic chamber, with the pressure transmitted from a piezoelectric drive device. The valve member is provided with two sealing surfaces that cooperate with oppositely disposed first and second valve seats wherein when the valve member moves from the first valve seat to the second valve seat, a short-term relief of the control chamber takes place in order to trigger a short pre-injection of fuel. For larger fuel injection quantities, the control valve is brought into an open position between the first and second valve seats or in a closed position.
Abstract: The process is characterized by means of successively executed displacements of material of a work piece into the inner bore diameter at different points of the mouth of a bore. The displacement of the material is executed by means of a die that can be moved at least approximately in the direction of the bore axis. The process for tightly closing a bore can preferably be used with work pieces comprised of ductile material, in particular an aluminum wrought alloy.
Abstract: The invention relates to a pressure regulator for a fuel system. The pressure regulator includes a housing assembled out of at least two housing parts. A membrane unit is securely installed in a sealed fashion between the housing parts. The securing region that securely holds the two housing parts and the membrane unit in a sealed fashion has an elastic region so that the desired secure connection is assured by simply snapping the two housing parts together. The device is provided in particular for regulating a pressure in a fuel system.
