  • Patent number: 6768732
Abstract: A communication system (PBX) is connected via a local computer network (LAN) and an ADSL-oriented communication network (DSL-KN) to a communication terminal (DV-E). The communication system (PBX) has a teleworking module (HLB) which is in the form of a subscriber line module and is connected to the local computer network (LAN). After a communication terminal (DV-E) has logged on to the communication system (PBX), the teleworking module (HLB) controls data transmission between the communication system (PBX) and the communication terminal (DV-E) via the local computer network (LAN) and the ADSL-oriented communication network (DSL-KN).

  • Patent number: 6769065
Abstract: A program-controlled unit with an on-chip debug support (OCDS) module and a method for debugging a program-controlled unit fitted with the OCDS module by using an external debugger. The described program-controlled unit is characterized in that it includes an access authorization controller unit ensuring that read and/or write accesses to internal and/or external registers, storage and/or the like requested to the OCDS module by components that can be addressed by the OCDS module are executed only when the device requesting relevant access has proven its access authorization. This minimizes the danger of misusing the OCDS module in case of unlimited OCDS module performance.

  • Patent number: 6764073
Abstract: An adjustable gripper system for releasably holding at least one sheet against a surface includes an adjustment body, a gripper connected thereto for holding the sheet against the surface, and a cam follower to be actuated by a cam. The cam follower is connected to the adjustment body and displaces the adjustment body dependent upon a cam position, which correspondingly displaces the gripper along the surface. The system can be part of a sheet-collating pocket having a top portion, forward and rearward walls pivotally connected to one another and defining a sheet-receiving opening, which pocket can be part of a sheet-collating machine having the cam, a conveyor, a sheet feeding device, and other pockets. A method for adjusting the grippers positions the cam in the pocket path to contact each and selectively displace the gripper holding portion with dependent upon the cam position while the cam and pocket contact.

  • Patent number: 6765970
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and an apparatus for preventing interference, particularly in telecommunications systems operating in burst mode, where the interference arises particularly when the signal has a signal level below a threshold level value and/or the signal has a constant amplitude over time. An artificial interference signal having at least one interference signal frequency is added in the processing path in the system so that the signal level exceeds the threshold level value or at least one amplitude that is constant over time is prevented.

  • Patent number: 6765302
Abstract: A semiconductor module having a configurable data width of an output bus has data connecting pads as well as driver circuits having a respective output that is connected to an associated data connecting pad. At least one of the data connecting pads, which is not used for interchanging data or commands during operation, is permanently connected to a connection for an internal supply voltage. Thus, in a module configuration with a reduced number of data lines being used, the remaining data lines can be operated at an increased frequency, since the signal-to-ground ratio is improved.

  • Patent number: 6759874
Abstract: An electronic circuit has a driver circuit to drive a signal onto a signal line. The driver circuit contains a first switching device with a first forward resistance between a first supply voltage terminal and the signal line, and a second switching device with a second forward resistance between a second supply voltage terminal and the signal line. A control circuit is provided to generate a first and a second control signal to control the first and second switching devices in a first operating mode such that, depending on the signal which is to be driven, either the first switching device or the second switching device is through-connected. In a second operating mode, the first switching device and the second switching device are essentially through-connected with the aid of the first and second control signals so that the first and second forward resistances together form a terminating resistance.
