Abstract: A synchronization system and method for use in a packet switched communication network are provided. The synchronization system comprises a transmitter-identification system, a packet-boundary detection system and a storage-access system. The transmitter-identification system enables each receiving terminal within the network to know the identity of the originating transmitter terminal for a given packet of information, prior to the reception of this packet of information. The packet-boundary detection system enables detection of packet synchronization parameters for all transmitter-receiver pairs of terminals within the network. The storage-access system stores the detected packet synchronization parameters and allows the receiver to access the packet synchronization parameters.

Abstract: In order to deliver the current generated by means of photovoltaic solar elements, the invention proposes a connector for a solar module that is accommodated in a connector housing and can be connected to the solar elements. The solar elements are interconnected by means of flat connecting lines and embedding in a translucent sandwich panel. The current is delivered through an opening in one of the sheets of the sandwich panel by means of springable contact elements that are in electric contact with the connecting lines of the solar elements.

The light-incident-side polarizing film includes a polarizing layer and a first retardation film, whereas the light-emitting-side polarizing film includes a polarizing layer and second and third retardation films. A specific combination of the first and third retardation films provides an optical compensation for achieving a lower leakage light and a lower chromaticity shift upon display of a dark state in the LCD device.
Abstract: To connect the shielding of an electric cable to a metallic connector, an electrically non-conductive cable guide part that features a wall segment of an electrically conductive material that needs to be laterally opened sectionally is provided. In this case, the shielding of the electric cable lying in the interior is connected to a corresponding mating connector by means of the wall segment and an electrically conductive connector sleeve surrounding the connector.
Abstract: A semi-transmission type liquid crystal display that maximizes the luminance in reflection mode and transmission mode. The liquid crystal display comprises a lower substrate with thin film transistors, an opposite substrate facing the lower substrate, a liquid crystal layer between the lower substrate and the opposite substrate, a reflection electrode formed in a reflection area of the lower substrate, a transparent electrode formed in a transparent area of the lower substrate, a common electrode formed on the opposite substrate, and a drive circuit for applying a voltage between the reflection electrode and the transparent electrode and the common electrode. The potential difference between a drive voltage applied to that surface of the lower substrate which contacts the liquid crystal layer and a drive voltage applied to that surface of the opposite substrate which contacts the liquid crystal layer is lower in the reflection area than in the transparent area.
Abstract: The present invention provides a circuit analysis device including: storage unit having stored therein: connection information about multiple components; delay information including information about the delay time of a discrete component and a chain delay time which is a delay time in the case in which a chain delay effect is generated by a connection with another component about each kind of the multiple components; and chain effect propagating component information including information about kinds of chain effect propagating components which are components for transmitting the chain delay effect, and data processing unit for: referring to the information stored in the storage unit; performing a total delay time calculation process of sequentially adding the delay times of the components along a signal path in the circuit; and if the chain effect propagating component is halfway through the signal path in the total delay time calculation process, examining a connection relation between components that prec
Abstract: A circuit board connector extension comprising a body made of plastic and able to be attached to a circuit board, with first and second groups of contacts which each have one connecting end for contacting conductor tracks on the circuit board and one plug-in end for contacting contacts of a connector piece, the connecting ends of the two groups of contacts being arranged on one and the same side of the body, whereas the plug-in ends of the first group being arranged on a side of the body difference from that where the plug-in ends of the second group are arranged.

Abstract: A DLL circuit comprising: delay circuits which output first and second delayed clock signals obtained by delaying the reference clock signal by a delay times selected according to control signals; an interpolation circuit which interpolates a phase difference between the delayed clock signals to output an internal clock signal; an output circuit which generates a predetermined signal; a dummy output circuit which has the same transmission characteristics as the output circuit and outputs a feedback clock signal having the same phase as the predetermined signal; a phase comparison circuit which compares phases of the reference clock signal and the feedback clock signal; delay control circuits which controls the control signals in a direction where both phases are equal; wherein the delay time of the second delayed clock signal is larger than the first delayed clock signal by an amount equivalent to one cycle of the reference clock signal.
Abstract: Discontinuous diamond particulate containing metal matrix composites of high thermal conductivity and methods for producing these composites are provided. The manufacturing method includes producing a thin reaction formed and diffusion bonded functionally graded interactive SiC surface layer on diamond particles. The interactive surface converted SiC coated diamond particles are then disposed into a mold and between the particles and permitted to rapidly solidify under pressure. The surface conversion interactive SiC coating on the diamond particles achieves minimal interface thermal resistance with the metal matrix which translates into good mechanical strength and stiffness of the composites and facilitates near theoretical thermal conductivity levels to be attained in the composite. Secondary working of the diamond metal composite can be performed for producing thin sheet product.
