Abstract: An artificial tree structure with decorative lamps, comprising a plurality of hollow tubes or iron wires of various lengths, in the shape of tree branches, arranged from top to bottom around the main trunk supported by detachable legs. On each side sticks are installed a plurality of iron wires to form the shape of tree branches. The exterior of the hollow tubes or iron wires is wound by dense tree leaves. The lamps installed in the hollow tubes or on the iron wires are serially connected to become decorative lamp strings. The decorative lamp strings are then combined in parallel connection, running down the main trunk to be connected to a control box and a power transformer. The structure described above provides the artificial tree with decorative lamps, using the control box to produce music and lighting effects of different luminosity and flashing speeds.
Abstract: A document separating mechanism for an Automatic Document Feeder is an elastomer with the features of having a vertical plane and an arc surface, wherein the vertical plane is perpendicular to the main plane and capable of resisting the leading edges of the documents directly or indirectly. The arc surface is a turning plane for joining the vertical plane and the main plane. The document separating mechanism further includes the document guiding incline for making the documents being pressed by the feeding roller and arranged in order initially.
Abstract: The present invention relates to an organic light-emitting device which provides an electroluminescence (EL) or photoluminescence (PL) device with high external quantum efficiency. The present invention forms a composite film layer with continuously changing refraction indices between an ITO transparent electrode and a substrate made of plastic or glass. The refraction index of the composite film layer is the same as the ITO electrode at the interface with the ITO electrode. It decreases along the direction perpendicular to the substrate in a linear or nonlinear way. The refraction index is the same as that of the plastic or glass at the interface with the substrate. This way can avoid reflection due to the difference in the refraction index across the interface. The excited light originally trapped in the ITO electrode can be guided outwards.

Abstract: A flowerpot includes a shoulder adapted to be formed on an inner periphery of the second pot and a watering system provided to be received in the second pot and supported by the shoulder of the second pot. The watering system has channels to communicate an inside of the watering system with the inside of the second pot and a passage defined inside the watering system for receiving therein the nozzle of the pump. When the water is pumped out of the first pot by the pump via the bellow, the water is pumped inside the watering system and after the water inside the watering system is full, the water spills out of the watering system from the channels of the watering system to evenly water the plant in the second pot.
Abstract: A folding keyboard includes a fixed key module and one or more mobile key modules. The key modules are joined together by links between them. Two ends of the links between the key modules are joined at asymmetric positions. The mobile key module can turn 180 degrees to lie against the fixed key module. The folding keyboard is capable of being frontally folded, showing the whole arrangement of keys after unfolding, and being used immediately after unfolded. Moreover, the folding keyboard can be relatively shrunk by way of compression of the key units to reduce the thickness, and can be designed to be a triply-folded or quadruply-folded structure.
Abstract: An electronic anti-theft lock mainly internally includes an electromagnetic valve having a vertically movable rod; a locating mechanism that includes a turning plate adapted to shift the whole mechanism inward or outward in multiple steps, a restoring plate adapted to mechanically depress the rod of the electromagnetic valve at an upward extended position, and a stopper adapted to engage with the extended rod of the electromagnetic valve to stop the locating mechanism from moving inward further; and a control circuit adapted to detect a correct IC code of an inserted chip-contained key, and to excite the electromagnetic valve to extend the rod to stop a locking bolt of the locating mechanism from moving inward to open the lock only when an incorrect IC code is detected.
Abstract: Heavily concentrated impurities are selectively introduced into a portion outside a polysilicon region of a region of a tunnel window area of an EEPROM memory cell, a polysilicon portion where impurities are not introduced is selectively etched, and then a tunnel oxide film is formed in a tunnel window area by oxidizing residual polysilicon.
Abstract: A semiconductor device has a start-up circuit which comprises a third node (N3), a first switch (103A) which electrically connects a first node (N1) and an input terminal (102I) of a second mirror circuit (102) based on a voltage level at the third node; a second switch (103B) which electrically connects the first node and the third node based on a voltage level at an input terminal (101I) of a first current mirror circuit (101); and a third switch (103C) which electrically connects the first node and the third node based on an inverted voltage level at the third node.
Abstract: A coded moving-picture signal is decoded by a resolution-converting motion compensation process and a resolution-converting inverse discrete cosine transform, both of which decrease the resolution of the picture, thereby reducing the amount of reference picture data that has to be stored and accessed. The reference picture data may also be stored in a compressed form. The resolution conversion and compression processes may also be used in the coding of the moving-picture signal. The resolution-converting inverse discrete cosine transform may be performed by output of intermediate results that have not been combined by addition and subtraction in a butterfly computation.
Abstract: A semiconductor device includes a semiconductor substrate which has a first main surface having circuit elements formed thereon, a second main surface substantially opposite to the first main surface, and a plurality of side faces provided between the first main surface and the second main surface. The semiconductor device also includes a plurality of external terminals formed over the first main surface and respectively electrically connected to the circuit elements. The second main surface has a central area and a peripheral area surrounding the central area, and a first steplike section formed in the peripheral area.
Abstract: A color image printing apparatus has a plurality of positioning mechanisms each of which selectively positions a corresponding photoconductive drum at an operative position and a non-operative position. A controlling section selectively controls the positioning mechanisms in a first operation mode or in a second operation mode according to the color detected in the color plane by the color detecting section. The first operation mode is a mode where the controlling section causes a positioning mechanism corresponding to the color detected by the color detecting section to the operative position, and the positioning mechanism remains at the operative position throughout the job once it is brought to the operative position.
Abstract: A means and a method applied in syndrome generation in the Video/Audio processing system is disclosed. The syndromes thereof are effectively and rapidly generated simply using shift register and an exclusive or adder by a recursive operation. For the code words having a number of bytes, the syndromes can be generated by repeating exclusive or (XOR) operation between a shift bit and the above-mentioned bytes, without the extra step of table-matching, saving large memory capacity, greatly reducing the operation cycle and completing the operation rapidly.

Abstract: An output circuit for a transmission system includes an input terminal receiving an input logical signal, a first output terminal outputting a first output logical signal having a logic corresponding to a logic of the input logical signal, a second output terminal outputting a second output logical signal having a logic corresponding to an inverted logic of the input logical signal, a first constant voltage supply circuit generating a first voltage level, a second constant voltage supply circuit generating a second voltage level, and an output logic formation circuit connected to the first and second constant voltage supply circuits. The output logic formation circuit generates the first and second output logical signals having either the first voltage level or second voltage level based on the logic of the input logical signal.
Abstract: A prewarning device for instillation of medical liquid includes a throttling cylinder having a tubular needle connected to an open top thereof. A pointed head portion of the tubular needle is inserted into a medical liquid bottle for the medical liquid to flow into the throttling cylinder via the tubular needle. A portion of the tubular needle between the head portion and the throttling cylinder is transparent for a clamp to clamp therearound. A sensor is provided on the clamp to connect to a warning unit via a wire. The tubular needle defines a downward tapered inner space to receive a float therein. When the medical liquid bottle becomes empty, the float lowers in the tubular needle and is sensed by the sensor for the latter to actuate the warning unit to sound. The lowered float also blocks up the tubular needle to stop air from passing therethrough.
