Abstract: When a switching signal SW is at “H”, TGs (3a and 5b) are turned on and an input voltage IN is supplied to a capacitor (4a) and a differential input unit (10a) through TG (3a). At this time, a differential input unit (10b) is connected to an output unit (20) through TG (5b) and a voltage follower circuit is constructed. A voltage held in a capacitor (4b) is outputted as an output voltage OUT from an output terminal (7). When the switching signal SW is set to “L”, TGs (3b and 5a) are turned on, and a voltage follower circuit is constructed by the differential input unit 10a and output unit (20). A voltage held on the input side of the capacitor (4a) and differential input unit (10a) is outputted as an output voltage OUT from the output terminal (7).
Abstract: A ridge-type semiconductor laser producing method. This method includes the steps of successively laminating, on a compound semiconductor substrate, a lower clad layer, an active layer, and an upper first clad layer; forming, on the upper first clad layer, an upper second clad layer in the form of a ridge; and selectively growing a light confining layer at each side of the upper second clad layer in the form of a ridge. At the time of the selective growth of the light confining layers, there is used a III-group element feeding raw material including a III-group element compound having a methyl group.
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a new water treatment device comprising an electrolytic tank to put water in, an electrode provided in the electrolytic tank, a water treating path for pouring water in a pool and returning to the pool the water in the electrolytic tank, a residual chlorine sensor for measuring the residual chlorine concentration of water, and control means for controlling the energization of the electrode on the basis of the measured value by the residual chlorine sensor, and capable of simply and efficiently sterilizing water stored in pools of various sizes from a swimming pool to a home bathtub.
Abstract: A liquid crystal display capable of being repaired for defects in data lines and method for repairing the same. The liquid crystal display includes multiple scan lines, multiple data lines, multiple transparent pixel electrodes, multiple switching devices, multiple first storage capacitors, multiple second storage capacitors, multiple first ring-type conductors, and multiple second ring-type conductors. Each of the first ring-type conductors and an associated one of the second ring-type conductors correspond to two adjacent scan lines and one of the data lines, wherein the first and second ring-type conductors are electrically connected. Through the connections of the first and second ring-type conductors and the storage capacitors, the pixels and the data lines can be repaired so that the problems due to malfunctioned storage capacitors and disconnection of the data lines can be resolved.
Abstract: A semiconductor laser device provided with a lower cladding layer, an active layer and an upper first cladding layer stacked in this order on a compound semiconductor substrate, a ridge-shaped upper second cladding layer provided on the upper first cladding layer, a light confining layer provided on both sides of the upper second cladding layer, and a contact layer provided on the upper second cladding layer. A current non-injection region having no contact layer is provided only on the laser emitting end face side. Although another current non-injection region may be also provided on the reflective end face side, the length of the current non-injection region on the reflective end face side is set to be shorter than that on the laser emitting end face side.
Abstract: A method for compressing image data at a fixed rate and a device thereof is used for a scanning device capturing and generating image data. When the image data is scanned, the scanning areas of each color data are respectively selected to compress image data with a fixed rate. A decompression method is utilized which interpolates the decompressed data based on known color data in adjacent pixels.

Abstract: An access control unit provided in an LSI, that supports external devices with varying access times, comprises a clock, mask circuit, a wait signal generating circuit, a flip-flop and a wait cycle number setting register. The wait signal generating circuit calculates the number of wait cycles using a formula for determining a general term in an geometrical progression based upon the data currently set at the wait cycle setting register to generate and output a wait signal “wait.” The clock signal “clock” is input to another input terminal of the clock mask circuit. The flip-flop takes in data output by a low-speed external device or a high-speed external device in synchronization with the clock signal “clock” and provides the data thus taken in to a CPU with specific timing.
Abstract: The present invention provides a method of turning over a window that is laid over another window in order to peek a content of another window that is laid under the window in a pseudo-three dimensional manner, in a multi-windows computer system. The method includes the steps of (a) selecting a first window from the multi-windows by placing an object on the first window; (b) clicking the object on the first window to initiate an operation of turning over; and (c) dragging the object toward a direction to which the first window is to be turned over so as to unveil a second window that is laid under the first window, whereby enabling to peek a content of the second window.
Abstract: The present invention provides a device for signal control of a switch which outputs a first signal in response to a turning operation thereof and outputs a second signal in response to a depressing operation thereof. If one of the first and second signals is outputted in response to a corresponding one of the switch turning operation and the switch depressing operation and the other signal is thereafter outputted in response to the other operation within a predetermined period, the control device nullifies the other signal. With this arrangement, a heating cooker provided with the switch is prevented from performing an under-heat or over-heat cooking operation on the basis of a misoperation of the switch. Further, the need for resetting a cooking period is obviated which may otherwise arise from the misoperation of the switch.
Abstract: A dual SIM card connector for holding a first SIM card and a second SIM card and installing in a cellular phone is disclosed. The dual SIM card comprises a housing and an inter-layer. The inter-layer is inside the housing. Between the inter-layer and the housing, there forms a first slot and a second slot. The inter-layer comprises: a common recess on the first surface of the inter-layer, wherein the common recess has a through hole. A common GND contact spring leaf is mounted in the common recess and electrically coupled to both the first SIM card and the second SIM card through the through hole.
Abstract: A decorative light has a lamp holder, a socket inserted into the lamp holder and a bulb mounted in the socket. The lamp holder has two upper protrusions and two lower protrusions formed on opposite sides of the inner periphery of the lamp holder. The socket has two locking segments formed on an outer periphery of the socket, wherein each locking segment is defined with an opening to clamp the upper protrusion on the lamp holder. By such an arrangement, the locking device between the lamp holder and socket is an inner structure. The socket will not be dislodged from the lamp holder by an inadvertent force.
Abstract: A collapsible keyboard comprises at least one keyboard module, and each keyboard module has a plurality of keyswitches arranged in array pattern. At least one membrane circuit is provided to connect the plurality of keyswitches. When the keyboard is in an operation state, each keyswitch having a predetermined separation with adjacent keyswitch, and the separation is the same as that in a standard keyboard. To shrink the keyboard, the plurality of keyswitches can be arranged in a collapsed state to reduce the transverse size of the keyboard, the lengthwise size of the keyboard, or both sizes.

Abstract: This invention provides a coil winder which can shorten the time required to wind coils. The coil winder has a nozzle for feeding out a wire, a stator support base, a head for supporting the nozzle free to move radially relative to the rotation axis of the stator support base, a head support shaft which supports the head and extends axially, a head support shaft displacement mechanism for moving the head support shaft to and fro axially, a head support shaft rotating mechanism for rotating the head support shaft around the axis, a traverse shaft which passes through the head support shaft, a traverse shaft rotating mechanism for rotating the traverse shaft, and a nozzle displacement device for displacing the nozzle radially relative to the axis due to the relative rotation of the traverse shaft with respect to the head support shaft. Motors provided for the head support shaft rotating mechanism and the traverse shaft rotating mechanism are supported by a frame.
Abstract: A service attribute management system is provided which is capable of automatically associating an appropriate attribute with a distributed object service without much labor and of providing consistency in attributes to be set. In the service attribute management system, attributes of distributed object services are stored in the service directory as management information, where attributes and its values are decided by an attribute setting section in accordance with some pre-defined rules.
Abstract: There is provided a semiconductor device in which substantially no deformation of a bonded wire occurs, and a method for producing the semiconductor device. A wiring pattern of a wiring substrate and an electrode of an IC chip are connected by a wire. A contact prevention resin whose height is higher than the highest position of the bonded wire, is adhered to the approximate center of the surface of the IC chip. If the wiring substrate warps due to heat from the lower metallic mold, an inner surface of an upper metallic mold placed on the wiring substrate abuts against the contact prevention resin, and decrease warpage of the wiring substrate. Accordingly, the wire is kept from contacting the inner surface of the upper metallic mold. Thereafter, the IC chips, the wires, and the like are sealed by injecting a mold resin into the molds.
Abstract: A Modified door for wafer container, includes a rotatable cammed member, two first links coupled to the rotatable cammed member and vertically aligned and moved in and out of respective first latch holes on the wafer transport module upon rotary motion of the rotatable cammed member, and two second links respectively coupled to the first links and horizontally moved in and out of respective second latch holes on the wafer transport module upon movement of the first links. The links each have a slope adapted to be moved with the respective link over a respective bearing means of the door body to force the door body inwards against the wafer transport module, keeping the wafer transport module well sealed.
