  • Patent number: 6129112
Abstract: A flow regulator that always guarantees the same rate of flow independently from the admission pressure is provided. This is achieved by a piston (26), which is mounted movably in the direction of flow and is loaded by an elastic element (29) in the direction opposite the direction of flow, being arranged in a housing (10) of the flow regulator. An annular space around the piston (26) is reduced due to the movement of the piston (26) in the direction of the flow. This flow regulator has a strong throttling action in the case of high admission pressure and a weak throttling action in the case of low admission pressure, so that the rate of flow is always maintained at a constant value.

  • Patent number: 6130097
Abstract: A process for detecting dust-associated substances wherein the dust to be analyzed is brought together with a solvent for eluting the substance to be detected from the dust. The particulate components are retained by means of a filter matrix while the solvent and the substances dissolved and/or suspended therein are transported through the filter matrix by capillary liquid transport. The solvent and the substances dissolved and/or suspended therein are transferred into a reaction matrix adjoining the filter matrix by capillary liquid transport. The substance to be detected is detected in the reaction matrix by means of a chemical and/or biochemical reaction or by the failure of a chemical and/or biochemical reaction to take place. A device for detecting dust-associated substances preferably contains, besides the filter matrix and the reaction matrix, a container for receiving the dust to be analyzed, wherein the container is in liquid connection with the filter matrix.

  • Patent number: 6130944
Abstract: A one piece stand is utilized with a telephone console to provide multiple console orientations with respect to a mounting surface. The stand includes two or more mounting surfaces, each of which can be mounted to the base of the console to provide a particular angular orientation. A biased handset hook is also included. The hook can be switched between wall mount and desk mount configurations without removal from the console by using an access port on the base of the console. A spring force maintains the hook in a desired position in a bayonet fitting. The spring-loaded hook can absorb the force from a handset by retracting into the console without breaking and returning to its normal position when the force is removed.

  • Patent number: 6129809
Abstract: The most important heat-sealing parameters must be able to be adapted to different conditions of use in a simple and accurate manner. This is accomplished by the hot air temperature, on the one hand, and the amount of hot air, the speed of rotation of the pressing rollers (8, 9) and/or the pressing pressure of the pressing rollers (8, 9), on the other hand, being able to be controlled via controllers (41, 37, 24, 29), wherein a basic setting of the set points of these controlled variables is performed as a function of material- and/or application-specific characteristics, and by the position of the hot air nozzle (16) in terms of height (H), distance (A) and/or of the oncoming flow angle (.alpha.) with respect to the roller gap being able to be set by motor operators (18, 19, 21) as a function of the intended use and/or the thickness of the workpiece.

  • Patent number: 6129367
Abstract: An axle suspension for rigid axles in vehicles, especially utility vehicles, with longitudinal control arms extending in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle and connecting the vehicle axle to the vehicle body in a vertically movable manner. The longitudinal control arms are arranged for axle guiding on each side of the vehicle approximately at the same level. A four-point torsional connecting element is articulated to the vehicle axle, on the one hand, and to the vehicle body, on the other hand. The four-point torsional connecting element is arranged above the vehicle axle and is connected as a flexible cross to the vehicle axle and to the vehicle body via two body and axle joints located at spaced locations from one another in the transverse direction of the vehicle. The arms of the four-point connecting rod are designed in whole as a one-piece forged part and are girders subject to bending with an approximately rectangular cross section. One of the arms has a predetermined breaking point.

  • Patent number: 6125130
Abstract: The invention concerns a method of reducing the amplitude noise of solid lasers (e.g. Nd-YAG, Nd:YAlO, Nd:YLF, Nd:YVO.sub.3, etc.) with resonator-internal frequency doubling (for example by KTP, LBO, BBO, KNbO3, LiNbO.sub.3, etc.). According to the invention, some of the frequency-doubled ejected laser radiation or the fundamental wave radiation is guided onto a photodetector (in particular a photodiode) whose electrical output signal undergoes bandpass filtering which filters out a frequency range typical of the noise. This output signal, optionally after rectification, quadrature and/or integration, is then subjected to temperature regulation or control which corrects the temperature of the frequency-doubling crystal such that the output signal is minimized after the bandpass filter and thus the amplitude noise of the laser radiation is minimized.

  • Patent number: 6125112
Abstract: A multistage ATM switch, method and system with switch elements with two input/outputs switchable to two other input/outputs. The switch elements are arranged connected to define a matrix with an input stage an output stage and at least one an intermediate stage. The multi stage switch inputs are presented with address information for data, the address information indicates requests for one of several outputs of said the multi stage switch. The requests are broadcast into the multi stage switch. At each stage the requests are remembered, merged and propagated to connected switching elements of a next stage. At each output of the multi stage switch grants a request if traffic can be accepted and propagates the requested grant to connected switching elements. At each switching element, upon receiving a request grant, the request grant is propagated to an input that requested the granted output port.
