Abstract: An electrical power outlet or switching device suitable for installation as fixtures in household and commercial buildings is provided with improved mechanisms for making contact with the building wiring. Contact members having slots between contact edges are provided to enable an end of an insulated wire or cable to be inserted therein. Upon insertion the contact edges cut through portions of the insulation to make electrical connection to the conductor therein and to mechanically secure the wire/cable end also. In one arrangement, a slidable block is provided adjacent the slot and having an aperture therethrough which can be aligned with a widened portion of the slot. A wire/cable end can be inserted in the aperture and widened slot portion and the block slid along the slot to force the wire/cable end into the slot and engagement with the contact edges. The connection system enables fast and efficient connection of wiring to the power outlet or switching device.

Abstract: An element is provided which includes a control section connection end and a setting position end for enabling a setting of the filling mechanism, with automatic shut-off. The setting end includes a retaining portion. The retaining portion acts to retain the element associated with a gasoline filling mechanism, even after gasoline filling shut-off. The element includes a hole or opening. The opening formed in the device adaptor element receives a connection element. This arrangement is particularly useful for supporting keys or other functional devices such as a bell which may be connected with the automatic gas fill adaptor element device.

Abstract: An anesthesia respirator for performing inhalation anesthesia is provided with a mobile, easy-to-refill oxygen source. To accomplish this object, an oxygen source is provided, which includes a plurality of chlorate candles (21, 22), which can be activated via respective igniters (23, 24).

Abstract: An apparatus for dyeing textile materials is provided that includes one or more chambers for dyeing and one or more storage baskets. The apparatus has a first station with a container hydraulically connected with the chamber. The first station is for the drawing and metering of dyeing solutions and for the admission of the dyeing solutions into the container to feed the chamber for dyeing the material disposed inside the storage basket. A second station has a stirrer. The basket is connected in a stable but removable way to the stirrer. The basket is located in correspondence with the chamber.

Abstract: A long-legged sock is provided that includes a cuff section and a calf section incorporating a first elastic thread together with a basic thread. Also provided is an ankle section incorporating the first elastic thread and a second elastic thread together with the basic thread; an instep area incorporating the second elastic thread and a third elastic thread together with the basic thread; and a foot section incorporating the third elastic thread together with the basic thread.

Abstract: A pneumatic parallel or radial gripper or air gun having two or more gripping jaws, wherein at least the gripping jaws their connection to the controlling piston are pre-assembled on a support that is made of plastic material. This allows for the subsequent assembly en bloc on the body in correlation with the piston. The support also acts as a device of protection.

Abstract: A head support for a bicycle is provided including a bicycle attachment piece. A head interface is provided connected to the attachment piece. The head interface preferably includes a cushion and chin receiving region for resting the riders chin in a cushioned and supported manner. The head interface is connected to the bicycle attachment piece via a breakaway arrangement. The breakaway arrangement provides a relatively stable connection between the cushion and the bicycle attachment piece during normal operations. However, the breakaway arrangement allows movement of the cushion upon the application of forces, such as forces in a non-head support direction. Particularly during a fall or other sudden movement of the user relative to the head support, the breakaway arrangement allows the head interface to be moved out of the way of the user.

Abstract: The antitwist device for circular knitting machines comprises a perforated tube (15E) rotating with the needle cylinder (1) of the knitting machine and a fixed outer tube (15A) essentially coaxial with the perforated tube (15E), inside which is generated a vacuum through a side air connection (15D), a space being defined between said perforated tube (15E) and the outer tube (15A). Inside this space, there is at least one cleaning element (45) attached to an actuator device (43) that moves the cleaning element into contact with the outer surface of the perforated tube (15E).

Abstract: A cash register terminal and process for operating a cash register terminal especially for self-service in gaming casinos, with bill-accepting and coin-deposition as well as coin-dispensing structure and with at least one coin box. To design the cash register terminal for high speed of operation and a large storage capacity for coins, the coins (17) are conveyed upward from the bottom from the coin box (2), of which there is at least one, and the coins (17) are dispensed above the at least one coin box (2), to at least one outlet (19, 20, 21).

Abstract: A safety device interacts with a holding rope passing over a deflection point. A housing has a holding rope connection for connecting the housing to one part of the holding rope. A clamping jaw is pivotally connected to the housing. The clamping jaw and housing form a clamp for clamping another part of the holding rope in a clamp position of the clamping jaw and for releasing the another part of the holding rope when the clamping jaw is in a release position. The deflection point is positioned between the one part and the another part of the holding rope. A secure rope is connected to the clamping jaw and extends radially around the clamping jaw and the housing. The secure rope moves the clamping jaw from the release position to the clamping position when a load is placed on the secure rope.

Abstract: A lamp device is provided with a string having a plurality leads, a plurality lamp sockets and a plurality bulbs. A plurality of posts having a tip portion at one end and a fastening portion at the other end and a connecting plate with an upper plate portion connected to the fastening portion and a lower plate portion connected to the tip portion are provided. The top portion has two tips providing a fork forming a recess on the lower plate portion of the connecting plate. The fastening portion has two protection walls, each protection wall having an extension piece formed thereon, each extension piece having an upper lug and a lower lug providing a recess between the upper lug and the lower lug, the tip portion being able to be inserted into the ground or into something loose to support the lamp device. A plurality of lamp covers are provided.

Abstract: The invention relates to a process for producing a nonwoven fabric and a matting device with several layering belts between which the web is taken up and guided at least in regions. The matting device has a belt inlet on the inlet side for the layering belts with an oblique downwards inclined inlet section with two belt sections running close to one another between which the web is led or covered on both sides. The width of the inlet section can be altered and can narrow like a funnel. The belt inlet can be mounted on the upper carriage so as to be either fixed or mobile.

Abstract: A process for operating a thermocouple (2), which is arranged in a gas atmosphere and is maintained at a working temperature that is increased compared with the gas temperature by means of an a.c. power source (11). The determination of the thermal power introduced into the gas atmosphere and the temperature measurement are made possible with one measuring element. The thermocouple voltage is compared with a predetermined reference voltage U.sub.B arising from the working temperature of the thermocouple, a difference signal is formed between the thermocouple voltage and the reference voltage U.sub.B, and the a.c. power source (11)is influenced with the difference signal such that the thermocouple voltage is maintained at a constant value relative to the reference voltage U.sub.B.

A first turning tower (11) and at least one second turning tower (12) are arranged directly one behind the other in the direction of a printed web entering one of the two turning towers (11, 12).

Abstract: A draft strip device for a door includes a channel support section which is fixed at a base of the door. A movable part is mounted in the channel support section. The movable part is movable towards and away from the floor under the door. At least one weather strip seal is supported by the movable part and rests on the floor when the movable part is lowered. A pushing element is at one end of the movable part. The pushing element is intended to be engaged with a respective doorjamb to bring about a lowering of the movable part and the resting on the floor of the weather strip seal when the door is closed. At least one adjusting element is provided to adjust a position of the movable part. A first brace and a first attachment slide and an adjusting slide are provided. The first brace is connected at its ends to the first attachment slide, which is inserted and can be moved longitudinally in the support section, and to the adjusting slide, which is inserted and can be moved longitudinally in the movable part.

Abstract: A motor vehicle steering column unit with a steering column housing and a steering column arranged therein and with an electrically driven adjusting device is disclosed for the longitudinal adjustment and for the tilt adjustment of the steering column. The adjusting device has only one electric drive unit for the rotary drive of an adjusting spindle, as well as at least two spindle nuts, which are arranged on the adjusting spindle and are mounted movably in the axial direction of the adjusting spindle. At least one adjusting mechanism each for the longitudinal movement and for the tilting movement, as well as one switching device for each direction of movement is provided. A nonpositive connection can be established between the respective switching device and the spindle nut located adjacent to the switching device.

Abstract: It is an object of the present invention to open a glove box in two stages with a simple structure. A stopper formed of an elastic member is fixed to side faces of the glove box. An inclined face is formed on a tip portion of the stopper. When the glove box is incorporated in the instrument panel and is opened, the inclined face is engaged with an opening edge portion incorporating the instrument panel so that the glove box is held in a half-opening position. Furthermore, when the glove box is rotated, a projection is controlled by the opening edge portion of the instrument panel so that the glove box is held in a full-opening state.

Abstract: A patch panel is provided comprising a patch panel housing, a first electrical connector a second electrical connector connected to the patch panel housing and an electrical interconnect for connecting the first electrical connector and the second electrical connector and for maintaining electrical connection between the first electrical connector and the second electrical connector while allowing the first connector to be moved both away from and toward the housing, for adjusting a position of the first electrical connector with respect to the housing.

Abstract: A process and a device for handling and stacking pressed bales in a bale storage facility with at least one stacking device (1), which has a traveling crane bridge (3), a bogie truck (4) and a hanging-down guide beam (5). A grabbing device is provided for one or more, preferably three pressed bales (2) is arranged on it vertically movably and rotatably around the vertical axis. The stacking device (1) has a remote control and a fully automatic, computer-aided storage management system. After loading into the storage area, the bales can be re-sorted in the bale storage facility fully automatically and arranged according to the type of bale, grade and other criteria.

Abstract: An outdoor housing for accommodating electronics, in particular components for telecommunications and data technology. The electronics are surrounded in a hermetically sealed manner by a first, inner housing structure and a second, outer housing structure being arranged on the inner housing structure in such a manner that a cavity is formed between the housing structures. The second, outer housing structure are formed by hollow-section rails which are detachably attached to the first, inner housing structure.
