A pick-off contact 19 is formed in the front region of the contact spring 1. A distribution block of the generic type is provided which contains an uncomplicated contact element and on which the wire routing is improved and in which reliable fitting of the cable wires is ensured.

Abstract: Apparatus having screw means for the mandibular distraction comprising, for each side of the dental arch under treatment, at least two bands (1, 10) capable of being fitted on predetermined dental elements and fixed to corresponding bodies (5, 6) with two parallel guide rods (7) going therethrough and disposed on opposite sides with respect to the expansion screw (2) which drives said bodies (5, 6) away from each other to allow for the corresponding stretching apart of said bands (1, 10), said screw (2) being provided with a driving portion (20) for driving it into rotation under the operator's control to cause the said separation of the orthodontic bands (1, 10) associated to the bodies (5, 6). The driving portion (20) of the screw (2) is arranged, in correspondence of the head of the screw (2), parallel to said rods (7): the driving portion (20) of the screw (2) facing the mouth of the patient to be engagable by a driving tool (8).
Abstract: A communications system and method utilizes peer-to-peer architecture to provide "quality" real-time communications in a non-guaranteed, packet-based network. Quality real-time communications in a non-guaranteed, packet-based network is achieved by (i) minimizing packet loss, (ii) minimizing latency, and (iii) minimizing the artifacts caused by packet loss. The system distributes control of functionality to the peer communication devices, thereby eliminating the need for a central processor to establish peer-to-peer communications. Each of the peer communication devices has the capability to respond to variations in network loading to provide quality real-time communications.
Abstract: A plug for gas generators of air bag impact protection systems has current paths formed by sheet metal strips and an inductance coil in one of both interrupted current paths that form two poles. One of the current paths is U-shaped; its branch opposite the counter-current path (4) is interrupted to form two inner poles (1, 2) and acts as a mechanical support for the inductance coil (5) that electrically bridges the interruption, and the other branch (3), located next to the counter-current path (4), forms together with the counter-current patch (4) plug pins (6, 7) that extend outwards. The plug pins (6, 7) are formed by bending the T-or forked-shaped ends of the current paths (3, 4). The inductance coil (5) is arranged in a housing and is provided with electric connections that can be directly connected to the inner poles (1, 2). In order to manufacture this plug, a preform is first cut out of a sheet metal web.

Abstract: A semiconductor laser powered by both a dc current and an rf current. Varying the level of the dc current changes the shape, power and timing of a pulse emitted by the laser. The laser emits pulses in response to the leading or rising edge of the rf current. The time between the leading edge of the rf current and the emission of the pulse has been found to vary with the level of the dc current. Correspondingly, the shape and power of the emitted pulse also varies with the varying of the dc current. Further the shape, power and timing of the pulse varies with variations in the rf current. The present invention varies the dc and rf current to a laser, to vary the timing of the pulses from the rising edge, while maintaining the shape and power of the pulses substantially constant for all different variations in timing.
