Abstract: The structure comprises cold-formed sections built-up from elementary sections joined stably together by means of connecting braces inside the built-up section; said joined elementary sections define longitudinal slots with their longitudinal lips which are bent inwards and each inclined with respect to that opposite so as to converge towards the interior; fastening devices comprising a channel die and one or more pressure pieces are fitted along the slots in order to clamp with screw means the lips that define said slots and deform them with a locking action.
Abstract: To sew presewn flaps (P) on a fabric part (W), the flap (P) is positioned in its later position of use in a movable fabric holder of a sewing unit, and it partially overlaps a pocket (T) to be sewn on the fabric part (W). After the workpiece parts (W, P, T) have been fed to the sewing machine, the flap (P) is first connected to the fabric part (W) by a seam (N1). The part of the flap (P) overlapping the pocket (T) is then folded over and the pocket (T) is then connected by a seam (N2) to the fabric part (W).
Abstract: A cylinder unit is provided for a web-fed printing press. The unit includes first and second cylinders which form printing gaps with a common first counterpressure cylinder. Third and fourth cylinders are provided which form printing gaps with a common second counterpressure cylinder. The four cylinders and the two counterpressure cylinders are cylinders of a single H-shaped cylinder bridge. The second and third cylinders are spaced from one another at such a distance that a web can run in between these two cylinders in their printing-on positions at the respective counterpressure cylinders and can run out after wrapping around the two counterpressure cylinders. The first and fourth cylinders are spaced so close to one another that they can be reversed from a printing-on position against their respective counterpressure cylinder into printing-on position in relation to one another.
Abstract: A spring vice (56) for tensioning coil springs, which have a spindle drive (59, 61), which has approximately wedge-shaped radial fingers (64, 65, 66) at one of its ends and a support cylinder (60) with a contact element at its other end. Two pressure plates (57, 58) with a passage opening (77, 87), through which the spindle drive (59, 61) can be passed, are used to tension a coil spring. In the mounted state, the radial fingers (64, 65, 66) of the spindle drive (59, 61) can be brought into a nonrotatable pulling connection with locking recesses (81, 82, 83) of the first pressure plate (57), while the second pressure plate (58) without locking recesses is supported axially at the contact element of the support cylinder (60) of the spindle drive (59, 61) for tensioning the coil spring. To increase the safety of operation, provisions are made for the contact element of the support cylinder to have support fingers (72, 73, 74), whose number corresponds to the number of the radial fingers (64, 65, 66).
Abstract: The fabric-side hook thread end (GN), which was previously longer than the fabric-side needle thread end (NN) by the amount corresponding to a stitch length, is to be shortened in sewing machines with a thread-cutting device. This object is accomplished by the feed device of the sewing machine, of which there is at least one, performing a partial feed step in the reverse feed direction during the performance of the thread-cutting process.

Abstract: Polyethylene terephthalate resin composition comprising a polyethylene terephthalate resin and nigrosine, optionally containing fibrous reinforcing material, e.g. in an amount of about 10 to 120% by weight relative to the polyethylene terephthalate resin. The polyethylene terephthalate resin composition enables the production of molded products good in appearance, surface gloss, mechanical characteristics and light fastness. The composition has a crystallization rate upon molding which is lower than that of a corresponding natural polyethylene terephthalate resin containing no coloring agents and which is also lower than that of a corresponding polyethylene terephthalate resin composition comprising a polyethylene terephthalate resin and carbon black. The composition is capable of forming a molded product that can elongate more than 200% and also more than two times relative to a corresponding natural polyethylene terephthalate resin containing no coloring agents.
Abstract: The device includes cutting of the needle and hook thread while forming short fabric-side thread ends in a double-thread lockstitch sewing machine with a hook rotating in a horizontal plane under a needle plate. A thread catch device with a cutting edge is provided. A knife is provided cooperating with the cutting edge and with a thread clamp for the hook thread.
Abstract: A device for the selection of needles in circular stocking knitting machines, comprising a lower needle (or jack) having radial deflection for each needle on the cylinder of the said machine. Selection actuators are provided for the control of the lower needles. Each lower needle includes two components: an element oscillating between an inoperative position and the operating, vertically movable position in order to control the corresponding needle and to follow the courses of upward and downward movement cams; and a toothed element which is arranged facing the oscillating element, capable of oscillations with same, but prevented from moving vertically. The toothed element always remains at the level of the selection actuators even when the oscillating element moves vertically.

Abstract: A control device for admitting compressed air into anti-g pilot pants to reduce the effects of forces of acceleration on the pilot. Flight maneuvers with rapid change from negative to positive acceleration shall be made possible by the present invention over a broader range than before. To achieve this, the control device is provided with control means (5-10, 13, 14) for detecting changes in acceleration from negative to positive values, which bring about an additional admission of pressure over a limited period of time with a profile decreasing over time at rates of acceleration change above a predetermined value.
Abstract: A process for regulating gas pressures of a regenerator with a gas expansion turbine in a flue gas line with a generator, wherein a process regulator opens the inlet valves of a gas expansion turbine and/or the bypass valves or throttles the bypass valves, doing so once with operation and once without operation of the gas expansion turbine. The process regulator is followed by a plurality of function generators, which preset the correcting variables for the downstream valves and in which a first function course of the function generators for operation of the gas expansion turbine and a second function course of the function generators for operation without gas expansion turbine are stored. A quick-acting valve of the inlet valves is acted upon by the speed regulator and it is active only at the time of the start-up of the gas expansion turbine until synchronization of the generator.

Abstract: A biological pressure measuring system with a transmission device for transmitting a biological pressure at a biological location to a pressure monitor/transducer for measuring the biological pressure. An atmospheric pressure transmission device transmits an atmospheric pressure at a reference location to a reference pressure device for measuring atmospheric pressure and a vertical fluid pressure of the fluid in the atmospheric transmission device. The reference pressure device generates a reference pressure signal with a reference excitation signal representing a pressure of the fluid from the atmospheric pressure transmission device, a vertical distance between the reference location and the reference pressure transducer device being substantially similar to a vertical distance between the transducer and biological location. A signal connection device combines the biological pressure signal and the reference pressure signal into a combined signal.
