Abstract: A sock for therapeutic use in arterial insufficiency, cardiac and circulatory decompensation, venous insufficiency, arthrosis and rheumatism. The sock includes a leg portion (12), a foot portion (15, 16) and an ankle-neck of the foot portion (12', 14) between the foot and the leg, where at least some of the said portions of the sock have an elasticized knit structure with an elasticity graduated from part to part.
Abstract: A dilating catheter is provided for introducing and inserting an expandable stent. The dilating catheter includes an inflatable balloon, which is applied on a distal section of said catheter and which can be wrapped, if empty, on the section in order to be applied there around a the contracted stent. The outer surface of the balloon is roughened by means of a supply of material or a deformation in order to offer greater interference and grip to the said stent contracted tightly around it.
Abstract: A device for holding down solar panels with a holding-down bolt and for releasing the solar panels after shearing off with a pyrotechnical striking pin device is arranged on the outer side of the solar panels. After severing with the striking pin and after lifting out of the striking pin device with a spring, the holding-down bolt pivots out of spacers, which are connected to the solar panels via crossbolts, as a result of which the solar panels can be freely unfolded.
Abstract: An apparatus for connecting cable cores, in particular using insulation displacement connection technology, in particular for producing a branch lead from a primary cable, comprising an insulating body with contact holders. A connecting element 3 is introduced into the contact holders 2 of the insulating body 1 and has two contact elements 5, 6 in different wiring connection levels, at least one contact element 6 being connected to a slide 4 which is guided in the connecting region such that it can move and can be pushed in the wiring connection direction into the contact slot 19 in the contact element 6.
Abstract: An upper MacPherson strut step bearing for wheel suspensions in a motor vehicle. The MacPherson strut step bearing includes a metallic housing that is pot-shaped in the vertical section, a rubber buffer arranged in the housing, and a support piece, which can be connected to a shock absorber and protrudes with radially extending projections into the rubber buffer that is rigidly connected to it. A radially directed housing flange forms an abutment for an annular spring buffer made of an elastomeric material, against which the top end of a coil spring of the MacPherson strut, which coil spring surrounds the shock absorber, is supported. Recesses, which influence the axial damping characteristic of the MacPherson strut step bearing, are provided in the spring buffer. The metallic housing is connected to a cover plate, which passes over at the outer wall into a jacket ring, which is directed downward and projects beyond the spring buffer.

Abstract: The invention concerns a heating appliance which is protected against overheating in that the temperature increase during operation of the appliance is monitored. If the temperature increases too rapidly, the heating operation is stopped. According to the invention, temperature increase values are determined in a close chronological succession and/or a mean value is calculated in order to compensate signal noise from the temperature sensor.

Abstract: A transmission for folding out the solar cell panels (3 through 7) folded in an accordion-like manner on a spacecraft (1) has cable pulleys (22 through 27) at the hinges (9 through 14), around pairs of which pulleys endless cables (29 through 33) are wound. To adapt its change in length during temperature changes to the change in the length of the panels (3 through 7) and to increase its rigidity to elongation, the cable (29 through 33) is provided with a plastic sheathing (47, 48) firmly connected to same outside the area of the cable pulleys (22 through 27).

Abstract: A two-chamber metering dispenser 1 for liquid and/or paste-like media is equipped with two containers 2, 3 made of plastic, which are arranged in parallel positions next to one another and are provided each with a hand-operated metering pump and with a follower piston. The follower piston is tightly in contact over the entire circumference of the inner surface of the containers. In order to optimally utilize the hollow space in the case of an elliptical outer cross-sectional shape, and to guarantee a tight contact between the follower piston and the inner surfaces of the container walls, the two containers 2, 3 form a common outer jacket 10, which has an elliptical cross-sectional shape, and the containers are separated from one another by two middle walls 14, 15, which are arched against each other symmetrically to the short axis 12 of the ellipse.
Abstract: An electric heater for central buffer couplings, with a heating element introduced into a groove of the coupling head. The heating element is covered to the outside. To reduce damage to the heating elements and to prolong the service life of the heater, the heating element in the groove is filled with silicone material, which forms the outer cover and is a flowable single-component material, which undergoes crosslinking at room temperature under the action of atmospheric humidity.
