Abstract: The present invention describes a system for controlling the planing angle of a boat powered by an outboard motor. Sensors are provided which measures the inclination of the propeller of the boat and the acceleration of the boat. An angle-changing motor is mounted between the outboard motor and the boat and a motor control means receives signals from the angle sensor and the acceleration sensor in order to control the angle between the propeller and the boat. Other sensors can be applied to detect the angle between the outboard motor and the boat in order to prevent excessive angles from occurring. A timer can also be used to nullify the effects of the acceleration sensor after a predetermined time.

The locking pin (29) can easily be released from the exterior, and the protective casing remains stationary while the yoke is rotating.
Abstract: A locking device 5 for a metering device 3 of an anesthetic vaporizer 1 with an unlocking device 6 for actuating the metering device 3 is provided so as to ensure blocking of the unlocking device 6 in operating states that are unsuitable for the operation of the anesthetic vaporizer 1. The locking device 5 is provided having a final control element 20, 24, 29 that covers a regulating distance that depends on a parameter influencing the operating state of the anesthetic vaporizer 1. This regulating distance of the final control element is transmitted to a blocking device 13 which blocks the unlocking device 6 if the values of the parameter are unsuitable for the operation of the anesthetic vaporizer 1.

Abstract: A map reading and plotting instrument for use with a scaled map having a declination diagram. The instrument includes a first transparent disc with a scale provided adjacent its periphery and a second transparent disc coaxially aligned with the first disc, the second disc having a cut out portion. A hollow securing element is provided connecting the first and second discs and a center of each of the discs for rotative movement independent of each other. At least one arm is provided in a flat rectangular configuration with a scale provided thereon. The arm is disposed between the first and second discs and secured to the securing element connecting the two discs and the arm for pivotal movement independent of the first and second discs. A sight-slide subassembly is provided pivotably connected to the second disc at a second disc sight-slide pivot location. The sight-slide subassembly includes a sight and slide scale of linear measure extending from a first location to a second location of the subassembly.
Abstract: The invention relates to an insert for connecting a flexible tube to a shower head which has an axial pipe (13) and, externally, has keying (17) and sealed truing (15, 16) structure in a seat of said shower head. It has one elastic tab (19) with a tooth (20) able to clip into a hole (21') formed at the same level of said seat. The keying structure (17) prevents the rotation of the insert while the tooth prevents an axial unscrewing.
Abstract: An improved centrifugal fan in which a fan blade is supported by a main plate and a side plate and said main plate is connected to a rotation shaft, characterized in that between the rotation shaft and the main plate, there is interposed a doughnut-shaped connecting plate penetrated by the rotation shaft at the central part thereof, the connecting plate is fixed to the rotation shaft and to the main plate, at the inner and outer circumferential parts of the connecting plate, respectively, a plurality of through holes are provided in the inner and outer circumferential parts of the connecting plate in the circumferential directions, respectively, and slits are formed between each pair of two opposite through holes positioned obliquely with respect to the direction of radius of the connecting plate. Non-reversible displacement of the center of the fan blade is avoided which is a major factor in the vibration of the fan blade.
Abstract: A contrast medium-containing tube is provided which is a thermoplastic resin tube incorporated with a white bismuth compound composed mainly of bismuth oxide containing 70-85 wt % bismuth and having a particle diameter substantially smaller than 20 .mu.m. This contrast medium-containing tube looks white and remains white in appearance over a long period of time. It is easy to carry out extrusion molding for producing this contrast medium-containing tube.
Abstract: The invention relates to a connector bank for telecommunication systems comprising connecting elements 4, 25, 26 for cable wires and comprising contact elements 10 for electrical connection of the connecting elements 4, 25, 26 with the circuit tracks of a printed-circuit board 20.The arrangement prevents damage due to connecting forces which are otherwise transferred to the contact elements when connecting the cable wires to the connecting elements 4, 25, 26. According to the invention the contact elements 10 are provided as separate components of a contact pin 11 and of a plug connector member 12 being formed as one piece therewith for connection with the connecting elements 4, 25, 26.
Abstract: A growth promoter for Bifidobacterium species comprising gourd food, from yugao gourd, as active ingredient is provided. The growth promoter has a more selective and more marked growth-promoting effect than conventional bifidus factors.

Abstract: A stationary reactor is provided having a disc-shaped combustor having a top plate and a bottom plate spaced apart from each other. The space between the plates defines a combustion chamber having a center and a periphery, the space tapers at the periphery of the chamber. Ignition is provided centrally located in the chamber. An air intake supplies an explosive mixture to the chamber which ignites to cause expansion. The combustion chamber has a peripheral aperture defined by the space between of each of the plates at the periphery of the chamber, the aperture allows the expanded mixture to be discharged from the chamber in a substantially circumferential manner.
