  • Patent number: 5154168
Abstract: A respirator mask with connection openings for filters and a mask body, which is designed as a full mask or as a half mask, is improved such that subsequent conversion into one respirator mask configuration or another will be simplified and possible without the use of separate closing parts. To achieve this, a connecting adapter (2) with connecting ports (4, 10) can be fastened in at least two preferred positions on the full mask or half mask (1). A predetermined number of connection openings 8, 9 and connecting ports (4, 10) overlap in each preferred position. Various numbers of filters 3 can be connected to the overlapping areas, and the non-overlapping connection openings 8 are closed with sealing means 7 provided on the connecting adapter 2.

  • Patent number: 5154248
Abstract: A navigation system for guiding unmanned vehicles with any desired wheel configuration without guide wire for free movement on paths and along curves along a virtual reference path having at least one straight and/or curved section. Discrete elements are floor-installed which are in operative conneciton with a vehicle internal path control device via the vehicle's internal sensory analysis system for correcting the course of the industrial truck. The discrete elements are arranged at spaced locations exclusively along the area of the reference path forming a linear formation chain as navigation reference points P. The distance between the reference points P are either regular or irregular and may be relatively great distances equal to a multiple of the wheel base of the vehicle. The on-board sensory analysis system exclusively determines the distances and measures the distance between the longitudinal axis of the industrial truck and the navigation reference point P.

  • Patent number: 5152133
Abstract: Chains having links in the shape of a figure eight can be made by the method and apparatus of the present invention. The last link of the chain is first held in a secure position. Oval shaped loops are cut from an oval shaped helix in such a manner that the ends of the loops are spaced apart. The ends of the loops are then passed through the eyes of the held last link of the chain. The ends of the loop are then closed and the loop is then grasped at opposite ends of the oval and twisted to form the figure eight shape. The present invention has a collet 30 for holding the last link of the chain, a collet 40 for grasping the loops created from the oval shaped helix. The collet 40 is movable for insertion of the arms of the loop into the eyes of the last link. A clamp 50 joins the ends of the loop and the clamp 50 and collet 40 then perform a twisting motion which results in the loop being formed into a figure eight shape.

  • Patent number: 5150480
Abstract: The foot support (5) has an H-shaped beam (6) as well as two feet (7). The beam (6) and the feet (7) are made from metal pipes with rectangular cross section. The height of the foot support (5) is adjusted by adjusting the depth of insertion of the feet (7) into the beam (6). The feet (7) and the beam (6) have bent parts (7a and 6c) for fastening. The foot support (5) is also suitable for in-front-of-the-wall mounting and the in-the-wall mounting of the installation block. The feet (7) are inserted into the beam (6) such that its bent parts (7a) are directed toward the building wall (1) in the first case and away from the wall in the second case. The foot support (5) has a high load-bearing capacity and is particularly suitable for the installation of a wall-mounted toilet in front of a light-construction wall.

  • Patent number: 5150926
Abstract: A double pipe connection is provided having a one-piece gasket (5), which extends sealingly into an intermediate space (1c) of one pipe end (1a) with an internal, transversely extending wall (5c), on one hand, and, also sealingly surrounds a partition (2c) of the other pipe end (2a), on the other hand. The two pipe ends (1a and 2a) are inserted into each other in the axial direction, and are held together with a locking bar (6) in a positive-locking manner. The cross section of the pipe connection may be non-round, e.g., rectangular. Since the pipe ends have no flanges and outer threads, they may be cut to any length, and shaping suitable for injection molding is possible. The double pipe connection is particularly suitable for liquid-bearing pipes on sanitary devices, e.g., drain fittings for wash stands.

  • Patent number: 5145690
Abstract: The meat duct (6) is equipped with a gate (17) to cut the meat supply at intervals and with a plate (14) to regulate the passage of the meat (7). The sheet material paper rolls (9, 10) to wrap the hamburger have respective inertial brakes (26) and sensors (25) which, when the paper runs out, touch the core (23) of the roll and stop the machine. One of the paper strips bears a series of marks (20) which, as they pass through the cell (21), cause the pressing die mechanism (11) to operate. In addition, there is a rod (40) which separates the chopped meat end contiguous to the hamburger, and another rod (41) which, when it ascends due to an obstruction, touches a microswitch and stops the machine. The paper scraps left over are driven by a pneumatic system (35) to a container (37).

  • Patent number: 5145255
Abstract: In order to improve mixing efficiency of highly viscous fluid, while structural simplicity being maintained, two types of stirring impellers are employed in a single stirring apparatus. One of such stirring impellers is a large flat impeller and the other is a slanted or screw-shaped impeller to cause an up-and-down flow. This principle is further utilized in a stirring tower type polymerization reaction apparatus which has an array of mixing areas, each of which corresponds to the stirring apparatus above, and partitions between the mixing areas. The partitions are disposed so that the temperature of reaction can be controlled easily. Undesirable effects such as "dead space", space in which flow is insufficient, and the attachment of gelled material to the rotational shaft can be avoided while rather obvious, but no less important, advantages of efficient and uniform mixing, etc., are secured.

  • Patent number: 5142977
Abstract: The present invention describes a device for moving rollers and in particular rollers of a printing press in two independent directions. Movement in each direction is independent of movement in the other direction. The roller has trunnions which are mounted in roller locks. The roller locks are then mounted on a frame of the printing press. Mechanisms inside the roller lock position the roller lock in one direction with respect to the frame and other mechanisms inside the roller lock position the roller in another direction with respect to the roller lock. This mechanisms are independently controlled and movement of one mechanism is independent of the movement of the other mechanism. By independently controlling these mechanisms the roller can be engaged, disengaged and adjusted with respect to the frame or any components mounted on the frame.
