Abstract: The invention relates to a pressure measurement device (1) for fluids flowing in lines (5, 6), particularly for the flexible tubing lines of pressure-controlled roller pumps (22) for use in arthroscopy and urethroscopy. A membrane (8,8') is provided such that it is impacted on the inside by the fluid. A first pressure sensor (12) is connected to the outside of the membrane for measurement of fluid pressure. The first pressure sensor is connected to an evaluating electronic unit.A second pressure sensor (13) is connected to the evaluating electronic unit and is assigned to the outer side of membrane (8,8'), so that it is possible to effect a pressure monitoring based on the second pressure measurement, e.g., in the form of a measurement of pressure difference.
Abstract: A seat construction for a vehicle includes a driver's seat angularly movable about a generally vertical axis toward a door opening formed in a side portion of a vehicle body. When a sliding driver door is opened, the driver's seat is angularly moved toward the door opening, so that the driver can easily get in and off the vehicle. An open area of the door opening, available when the sliding driver door is opened, is disposed slightly forwardly, and therefore the angle of angular movement of the driver's seat required for the driver to get in and off the vehicle can be relatively small.
Abstract: A respirator with regeneration of the respired air by several chemical fillings, which emit oxygen and bind carbon dioxide and are disposed in parallel in the respiratory passage between a mouthpiece and a breather bag is to be improved, so that a uniform utilization of the chemicals in the fillings is achieved. The different resistances of the respiratory paths of the fillings are to be evened up so that the pollutant load on and the consumption of the fillings can be divided up evenly over the existing fillings during the whole of the period of use. For this purpose, provisions are made so that each filling is connected to its own breather bag for accommodating the exhaled air flowing through it.

Abstract: A breathing mask with a half mask and a nape band is to be improved such that secure contact of the mask in the entire nose and mouth region of the mask user is ensured by the nape band. The mask is thus effectively prevented from slipping despite the fact that the band is located in the nape region only. An additional application of a hood is possible without providing additional holding members. To accomplish this task, the band can be applied in the form of a rubber-elastic cuff (5) which has a neck opening (6) and a head opening (7). The mask and cuff are preferably made in one piece of silicone rubber, and the hood can additionally be bonded to the cuff.

Abstract: An inflatable umbrella includes an inflatable canopy member made of first upper and lower sheets and having a central portion, a plurality of elongated air compartments which extend radially from the central portion and which are spaced apart from each other, and a plurality of web portions spacing and interconnecting the elongated air compartments. A hollow shaft member being either rigid or inflatable is connected to the canopy member.
Abstract: A device for processing respiration gas with a filling of an oxygen-releasing chemical in a cartridge that can be received in a housing to which the respiration gas connection can be connected. The filling can be accommodated in a simple, inexpensive cartridge without having to give up protection from water vapor, as a result of which an inexpensive consumable part is to be obtained. To achieve this, the cartridge 1 is closed off with at least one bottom 8 that can be pushed into the inside of the cartridge and has openings 7 in it and is surrounded with a foil 10 that is impermeable to water vapor in a vacuum-tight manner (FIG. 1).

Abstract: A closed-cycle breathing equipment and gas mask for operation under pressure with a pressurized air source for respiratory air and with an air bag being under prestress during the inspiration phase includes an arrangement where the prestress is decreased by a control element recognizing the expiratory phase and so as to support respiration during the expiration phase. A pneumatic control valve is used which can switch connections between the inspiration and the expiration phase and which is directly controlled by the difference between the exhalation pressure and the pressure in the air bag. The control valve connects the pressurized air source with the air bag during the inspiration phase and during the expiration phase it interrupts the connection due to the occurring dynamic pressure of the pressurized air from the pressurized air source and thus actuates a pneumatic adjusting element so that the mechanical prestress at the air bag is reduced.
Abstract: Flame monitoring is normally performed in a space heater for a motor vehicle in order to stop the fuel supply within a certain period of time in the case of interruption of the flame. If interruption of the flame is detected by measuring the temperature on the heat exchanger or the combustion chamber of the heater in order to detect a possibly relatively rapid temperature drop, it must be ensured that the temperature at the test point can indeed decrease rapidly enough. It is therefore necessary constantly to monitor the electric motor of the blower for the combustion air or for the heating air flowing past the heat exchanger, so that the combustion chamber or the heat exchanger will indeed cool after interruption of the flame. The operation of the blower motor is monitored by briefly interrupting the power supply and measuring the generator voltage generated by the motor that continues to rotate. If there is no generator voltage or it is too low, a malfunction indication is generated.
Abstract: The present invention pertains to a feed mechanism for a sewing machine for displacement-free, near-edge connection of two flexible layers of fabric in the direction of sewing. The device, which is to be used as an attachment, consists essentially of a driven, endless feeding arrangement guided in the horizontal direction and a plurality of receiving elements which are designed as clamps. The receiving elements include clamp lower parts arranged at a vertically spaced location from the fabric support surface and clamp upper parts that can be actuated like pushbuttons, as well as a pressing element acting on the clamp upper parts. With their edges that are to be connected, the fabric layers are fed into a flat feeding section and fixed and carried by a first clamp and continually fixed by consecutive clamps in the same position in the device, thus carried along the stitch formation site, and continuously released in the sewn state at a discharge point.

Abstract: The apparatus comprises in combination: a computerized opto-electronic reader (3), able to control the fabric pattern moving along a linear transverse inspection zone, said reader being capable of detecting data of pattern deviation from a reference pattern; and a set of actuators (9, 10, 11, 12, 13, . . . N-2, N-1, N) with respective servomotors, with encoder or the like, controlled by the signals emitted by said opto-electronic reader (3). The actuators are disposed to act each on a corresponding fabric zone, to locally correct the pattern deviations detected by the opto-electronic reader.
Abstract: The drive comprises a drive motor (1), two differentials (2, 2'), two worm drives (6, 6'), two servomotors (10, 10'), as well as two control units (9, 9'). The drive motor (1) is connected to one input shaft (3, 3') each, the worm gears (8, 8') are each connected to another input shaft (4, 4') of the differentials (2, 2'), and the worms (7, 7') are connected to output shafts (19, 19') of the servomotors (10, 10'). The driving shafts (5, 5') of the differentials (2, 2') are coupled with one another so that they rotate in opposite directions. The control units (9, 9') control the servomotors (10, 10') so that at constant speed of the drive motor (1) the sum of speeds of the output shafts (19, 19') is constant. Due to this design, the driving shaft (5) is able to rotate in both directions of rotation at constant direction of rotation and constant direction of the drive torque acting on the drive motor, and the driving torque is able to act in both directions.
