  • Patent number: 5024621
Abstract: This invention relates to a novel single block for fixing electroconductor cables to battery terminals. The single block piece has a hollow essentially parallepiped configuration, the hollow region having an ellipsoidal shape wherein the battery terminals are housed. The front end of the single block piece expands upwards, the expanded region being cross-sectionally hollow. The lower region of the front face of the single block piece has a hole with a threaded inner surface where a screw or the like is threadably inserted. A semicircular plate is fixed to the tip of the screw. The plate slides through the hollow region in the single block as the screw is being threaded in and thereby the plate will exert pressure on the battery terminal.

  • Patent number: 5024166
Abstract: A bogie for rail vehicles with a low-seated loading ramp, comprises at least two sets of wheels with a small axle base and a bogie frame comprising lateral cheeks and a traverse extending between every two axles. The sets of wheels are clamped into the bogie frame by axle bearings, and the bogie is connected to the vehicle frame merely by a carrying leaf spring carried by suspension rings. A fixing device cooperates with the suspension rungs to limit the movement of the bogie relative to the rail vehicle. The rocking or swaying properties of the bogie are optimized to improve the running behavior on straight stretches as well as on curves while providing the required transverse play of the bogie. The construction is made more favorably by employing long suspension rings.

  • Patent number: 5024587
Abstract: The present invention pertains to a pump, in which two pistons moving in the same direction in a common cylinder bore are provided to generate the suction intake and pressure, discharge effects as well as for control. Both pistons are held by fastening members to perform a lifting movement, and one of the pistons is a control piston for performing a constant lifting movement, while the other piston is a pump piston for performing a variable lifting movement. The difference in the lifts, multiplied by the cross section of the cylinder bore, determines the delivery volume of the pump. A braking force to the oscillating piston eliminated and the velocity of discharge of the medium to be delivered is increased by providing a member 8, whose longitudinal extension between fastening members of the two pump pistons is variable during one pump cycle so as to generate the difference between the heights of lift of the two pistons that are rigidly connected to said fastening members.
