  • Patent number: 4801235
Abstract: A motor driven device for transferring workpieces between two stations possesses a holding device for the workpieces arranged on the lower end of a lever linkage. This linkage comprises an operating lever, which at its top end articulates with a crank lever, which pivots about a stationary crank lever axis. The center part of the operating lever articulates with the free end of a guide lever which at its other end pivots about a stationary guide lever axis under the crank lever axis. During transfer motion the linkage runs through a center position, in which the guide lever, the upper lever arm of the operating lever and the upwardly directed crank lever are on a straight line. At one stationary lever axis there is a driven shaft which is keyed to the lever thereat.

  • Patent number: 4799405
Abstract: A rectangular guide way having side and end segments carry a plurality of pucks in each segment. The pucks have side edges parallel to the side segments and end edges parallel to the end segments so that the pucks ride smoothly along the guide way. The side and end segments are connected at corners where the pucks are transferred from guiding along the side edges in the side segments to guiding along the end edges in the end segments. A walking beam with a plurality of upwardly extending pins is moveable alone each of the segments. In an upper engagement position, the pins of the walking beam engage holes in each of the pucks in its segment. In this way all pucks are indexed an exact amount along each segment. A locking beam which is moveable only upwardly and downwardly may also be provided for firmly holding the pucks when the walking beams are disengaged therefrom.

  • Patent number: 4800248
Abstract: A discharge machining apparatus adapted to permit the supply of discharge current to be cut off without increasing electrode consumption. Arrangements are made to gradually increase the level of discharge current, rather than maintaining the current level of discharge pulse. By doing so, electrode consumption becomes independent of the pulse width of the discharge pulse, so the discharge current can be cut off immediately after an abnormal state such as short circuiting or an instantaneous interruption of the discharge current occurs, eliminating the danger of deteriorating the quality of the machining surface of a workpiece.

  • Patent number: 4800067
Abstract: A test tube with several reagent layers affecting the detection reaction, which are separated from one another by means of a permeable interlayer, is improved so that an undesired exchange of reaction products or reagents between the layers is prevented during the measurement process and also during the dwell time, i.e. before and after the measurement. To this end, the interlayer is provided with a valve unit that opens only during the flow.

  • Patent number: 4800243
Abstract: A rubber structure contact connector includes a support upon which is placed an electrical contact. An insulating material, such as rubber, is applied over the contact and overlies the support and it has a portion which is formed as a raised dome-shaped resilient compressible portion or actuating key. On the interior of the dome-shaped, resilient compressible portion, there is a surface which has an oil-resistant layer thereon and a conductive portion which overlies the oil-resistant layer. The conductive portion is aligned over the electrical contact. In another embodiment, instead of the covering on the interior surface of the key which includes only an oil-resistant layer and an electrical conductive part, there is an electro-conductive part on the interior surface followed by an oil-resistant layer and another electrical conductive part.

  • Patent number: 4796619
Abstract: In known lung-controlled valves, the positive pressure in a breathing connection is established by the fact that the control diaphragm of the valve is tensioned by spring force. There, however, the opening force brought about by the spring is greatest when the inlet valve is closed, while it is smallest when the inlet valve is completely open. To keep the opening force as small as possible with the valve closed, and to leave the opening force approximately unchanged with increasing opening of the inlet valve, a magnet is provided on the inside of the housing cover of the lung-controlled diaphragm and the control diaphragm comprises a magnetizable part which is held at a minimum distance from the magnet by spacers when the inlet valve is closed.
