  • Patent number: 4788581
Abstract: In known MOS dosimeters for measuring an energy dosage within radiation fields, which comprise a semiconductor substrate with an insulator layer and a metal contact or poly-si-contact, a measurement is taken and irreversible damage is done to the insulator layer. Prior art dosimeters of this kind cannot be electrically reset, nor can such MOS structures be directly integrated with evaluating electronics. The present invention avoids these drawbacks by providing a hard-radiation resistant insulator layer with a floating gate X. Such a resistant insulator layer is produced in a "hardened" process by thermal dry oxidation of silicon at low temperatures of about 850.degree. to 950.degree. C. The inventive dosimeter makes it possible to integrate, on the floating gate, both negative and positive charges. This permits an integration of MOS sensors and signal processing electronic elements on a single chip.

  • Patent number: 4787619
Abstract: In a sheet feed bench with two parallel sheet feed rails that are adjustable relative to one another and with each having blowing jets on their surfaces facing one another directly above the level of the bench, connected to a common source of compressed air, the sheet feed rails resting on the bench surface are provided with groove-like or notch-like enlargements at the level of the blowing jets. Each of these extend over the entire length of the sheet feeder rails. These enlargements make it possible to position the inner surfaces of the sheet feeder rails so closely and tightly against the longitudinal edges of the stack of sheets that only small amounts of compressed air can escape upward. The formation of an air cushion is improved by this in such a way that the stack height can be more than double without adversely affecting the single-sheet separation.

  • Patent number: 4785153
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for guiding workpieces on a rolling seam welding machine or vice versa. In the process the relatively moved part is driven via its guide means of a continuous path manipulating device in an extra conveyor motion in the same direction and with the same speed as a tool-caused conveyor motion. The two conveyor motions are monitored for synchronicity by a displacement sensor that is connected for control purposes with a control unit of the manipulating device. When a difference occurs between the two conveyor speeds, manifested by the turning of the moved part around the displacement sensor, one of the two conveyor speeds is readjusted, with short-term over-compensation of the difference.

  • Patent number: 4784309
Abstract: A soldering machine with two parallel guide profiles for revolving chains provided for with soldering fingers, include a succession of a fluxer, a preheater and a solder bath along with the guide profiles extend. One profile is mounted fixed laterally above the succession and the other is adjustable directly above the succession. Thereby the adjustable guide profile is heated up more, especially under the action of the preheater, whereby, due to elongations of the guide profile, problems arise in the conduction of printed circuit boards held at the revolving chains by means of soldering fingers. To eliminate this problem, the invention provides that each guide profile is provided with at least one longitudinally extending coolant duct and that each coolant duct is connected to a pump for a coolant. Thereby the temperature actions on the adjustable guide profile 5 are compensated.
