  • Patent number: 4775270
Abstract: An impeller of a centrifugal fluid-type rotary machine includes impeller blades each having a concave and convex surface of which the shape is formed of parallel generatrices inclined with respect to a rotary shaft by an angle defined for each impeller blade. A method of manufacturing the impeller includes inclining a main plate material of the impeller with respect to a plane of a table of a machine tool by a desired angle, fixedly mounting the plate on the table after placing the plate on a rotation indexable jig, controlling three axial positions of the plate in the right and left, front and rear and upper and lower direction by a three-axis controller and cutting out the main plate or side plate by a cutting tool to integrally form the impeller blades on the plate.

  • Patent number: 4773169
Abstract: A machine for the continuous centrifugation of fabrics, comprising: a hauling means for the fabric formed by two endless bands having respective facing runs and an orbitting central block in which there are situated guide means for the bands, such that the latter follow cylindrical orbital paths during the passage thereof through the central block and conical orbital paths from the central block to the infeed and delivery ends of the machine. The orbital movement of the central block causes effective centrifugation of the fabric hauled by the bands, without causing therein harmful pulls or stresses.

  • Patent number: 4773856
Abstract: A device for releasing a tool from a tool fastening mechanism of a dentist's handpiece comprises a push-piece that is held in an outer, inoperative position by a spring, and a slide mounted on a rotor of the dentist's handpiece. Upon being pressed, the push-piece engages the slide to release a tool fastened in the rotor. In order to prevent the push-piece from overheating when it is in contact with the slide while the slide is rotating at high speed, the push-piece carries a disc and the slide carries a ball. The disc and the ball are for instance made of sintered hard metal and are located where the push-piece and the slide engage such as to have substantially a point contact between them on the rotational axis of the slide.

  • Patent number: 4773131
Abstract: The invention relates to a clip consisting of two clamping jaws 1, 2 provided with actuating elements 3, 4 and, in particular, molded of plastic, and of an elastic element which joins the former and presses them together in the clamping plane 5. To make secure clamping of an object to be retained between the clamping jaws 1, 2 possible, it is provided that the actuating elements 3, 4 are disposed so as to be slidable in a plane oriented perpendicular to the clamping plane 5 against the action of the elastic element 6 and that the actuating ends 15, 16 of each actuating element 3, 4 project beyond the rear end 17, 18 of the respectively other actuating element 3, 4. This causes the clamping jaws 1, 2 to open and close in a direction oriented exactly perpendicular to the clamping plane 5, thereby making secure clamping of objects possible.

  • Patent number: 4771771
Abstract: Gas masks each with a protective hood according to the invention are used as rescue equipment, e.g. escape equipment. For this purpose, they must be available when needed in a fail-safe condition and then untrained persons must be able to apply and use them. The gas mask has in its protective hood portion a breathing attachment in form of a half mask. On the outside, the breathing attachment supports a plug-in frame which is open at opposite sides or ends and accommodates a breathing filter inserted therein through one of the open ends or sides. Respiration takes place through the inlet walls of the frame and the filter. The used-up breathing filter is replaced by inserting a replacement filter. The simple insertion or replacement of the breathing filter makes training of untrained persons possible by using training filters.

  • Patent number: 4768944
Abstract: A plasticizing and injection group of mechanisms is detatchably secured on the injection side tool holder through a press-on and shift assembly. Releasable attachment occurs by automatically engageable and disengageable couplings each having a head, arranged at the end of an axially movable connecting element, e.g. of a piston rod of a press-on and shifting device. Slides engage the piston rod from behind a protuberance thereof slide back and forth crosswise to the connecting element. The slides are controlled by a central control unit of the machine. To perform maintenance work, the coupling is disengaged, and for better accessibility of the injection nozzle, the plasticizing and injecting group is moved away from the tool holder and can be pivoted out of the injection axis. Any manual work for releasing the attachment of the connecting element on the tool holder is eliminated.
