Abstract: In a driven axle for commercial vehicles, equipped with a differential and two reducing gears, the two reducing gears are directly integrated in the differential and the differential comprises a single stage planetary transmission provided with two sets of differential gears. What this accomplishes is that the axle is of small size and only little space is required for its accommodation. In addition, the power losses are reduced, and a succeeding aggregate can be driven in a simple manner.
Abstract: In order to transfer the starting end (11) of a thread on a bobbin (1) or cop inserted in a bobbin holder (5) of a spooling frame (4), automatically from the bobbin (1) to a suction hole (3) of the spooling frame (4), a pneumatically operated conveyor device is used. The basic component of this device is a suction member (13) with a suction duct (14) formed of a pair of openable plates (26) and (27), and that can be moved as a unit forward and back in the direction of the axis of the bobbin. Its centering funnel (17) is positioned over the free opening (12) of the bobbin in which the starting end (11) of the thread has previously been tucked. By suction or aspirating compressed air, the starting end of the thread is sucked out of the core and into the suction hole (3). To release the thread connection thus created from bobbin opening (12) to suction opening (3), the suction duct (14) is opened by means of its openable plates (26) and (27).
Abstract: A sewing machine with a workpiece alignment device for the automatic stitching of workpieces with convex edge sections has a stepwise feed mechanism and an alignment tool operating alternately with the feed mechanism. The tool rotates the workpiece around the axis of the needle when the needle pierces the material, and holds it resting against a guide rule. The alignment tool is driven by drive mechanisms positively connected to one another, because of which the sewing machine can be operated at a relatively high speed.
Abstract: A piston proportioning pump for liquids, with a piston in a cylinder, an uptake and discharge valve and an oscillating drive is improved so that the formation of vapor bubbles or of a low pressure during the suction phase is prevented even when the pump space is filled quickly. The dead space of the piston proportioning pump still remains so small that a largely complete expulsion of the proportioned amount through the discharge valve is guaranteed. To this end, provisions are made so that the discharge communicates with the pump space within an uptake valve.
Abstract: The invention relates to drive controlled by a sequence of pulses and which in place of a stepper motor with its associated circuit makes use of a continuous displacement motor, such as a DC motor, which may be directly connected with a process computer. The motor is coupled with an incrementally operating displacement sensor which for each displacement increment to be caused by a control pulse, generates precisely one sensed pulse. The sensed pulses and the control pulses are fed to an up-down counter via an electronic separating filter. The output signal of the counter and that of a periodically upwardly counting ancilllary counter is used for addressing a ROM whose output bit pattern controls the power switching stages of the DC motor or other continuous drive.

Abstract: In a phototransistor which comprises an emitter, a collector and a base, base portions 20 and 21 are made unequal in impurity density, by which minority carriers of optically excited carriers are stored in the high impurity density regions 20 of the base and majority carriers are permitted to easily pass through the low impurity sensity regions 21 of the base, and voltages of the high and low impurity density regions are coupled together. A very high-sensitivity and high-speed operation can be achieved.
Abstract: Hitherto, in the tension control for a reel, it has been impossible to exceed the tension controlling range of about 1:10 which is determined by the tension controlling range of a single DC motor, so that for the reel which requires a tension controlling range over 1:10, a plurality of DC motors have been combined and used or the gear ratio between the reel and the DC motor has been changed to date.In this invention, attention is paid to the fact that undesirable phenomena such as a change in characteristic due to an armature reaction, and deterioration of rectification which are caused by setting the field system to a low level can be sufficiently suppressed by limiting the setting and controlling range to the low region of an armature current.

Abstract: A winding tool for winding a coil of a retainerless dental matrix comprising a rotatable handle having a handle bore therethrough. A nonrotatable palm grip is mounted on a shaft for axial movement into the handle. A barrel having a torque transmitting mechanism is mounted for rotation and for axial movement in the handle. The torque limiting mechanism is transmitted and interengages the barrel to the handle for transmitting limited torque applied by rotating the handle for rotating the barrel and activating said torque limitor which rotates. A bent flexible sleeve which is fixed to an end of the barrel. A winding head is fixed to a remote end of the flexible sleeve. A compression transmitting shaft having a bent end extending into the bent flexible sleeve for retaining the bent shape thereof extends through the barrel and into the palm grip where it is fixed against rotation with the palm grip.
Abstract: The present invention is concerned with a device for feeding a material to be ground into a pressure chamber grinder provided with an equalizing tank (1), in which said equalizing tank (1) there is substantially the same pressure as in the pre-grinding part of the grinder, with which said pre-grinding part the equalizing tank (1) communicates via screw conveyor. Abstract: An impeller of a centrifugal fluid-type rotary machine includes impeller blades each having a concave and convex surface of which the shape is formed of parallel generatrices inclined with respect to a rotary shaft by an angle defined for each impeller blade. A method of manufacturing the impeller includes inclining a main plate material of the impeller with respect to a plane of a table of a machine tool by a desired angle, fixedly mounting the plate on the table after placing the plate on a rotation indexable jig, controlling three axial positions of the plate in the right and left, front and rear and upper and lower direction by a three-axis controller and cutting out the main plate or side plate by a cutting tool to integrally form the impeller blades on the plate.

Abstract: Benzo[ij]quinolizine-2-carboxylic acid derivatives of the general formula [I] and the salts, and their hydrates are provided: ##STR1## wherein A is a methylene group and B is a carbonyl group when A and B are linked by a single bond, or A and B unite together to form a vinylene group when A and B are linked by a double bond, R.sup.1 is a hydrogen atom, a C.sub.1-3 alkyl group or a 2-hydroxyethyl group, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 are hydrogen atoms, methyl groups or ethyl groups and may be identical to or different from each other, R.sup.3 may be attached to the same carbon atom as R.sup.2, R.sup.4 is a methyl or ethyl group, and X is a halogen atom. The benzo[ij]quinolizine-2-carboxylic acid derivatives and the salts, and their hydrates have good adsorbability from the digestive tract into the circulating blood and exhibit excellent and long-lasting antibacterial activity.
Abstract: A resistance element causing less sliding noise for use in wound-type variable resistors and a method of making the same are disclosed. A resistance element obtained by winding a metallic resistance wire on a core is subjected to etching treatment. With this etching treatment, the metallic oxides, chlorides and sulfides considered acting as insulators, and organic molecules, adsorbed gases and other contamination forming the surface layer of the resistance wire are dissolved and removed. Furthermore, by immersing the etched resistance element in an ammonia solution, etc., the copper precipitated on the surface of the resistance wire is dissolved.
Abstract: For accurately determining the position of a measuring head 14, a multicoordinate measuring machine has an additional measuring device, which essentially is formed by a scanning head 19 having a measuring probe 20, and inserted in a beam 16. The position of a cross arm 6 in a distance A is determined by means of the measuring probe 20 and is passed on over an amplifier 22 to a computer 25 for control and display purposes. The coordinate measuring machine operates with only one length scale 5. The cross arm 6 is supported at its ends and without play on carriages 11 and 12, which can be moved in the X direction in guiding systems 3 and 4, which are arranged parallel to each other.
Abstract: A safety armature for a cylinder having a key aperture or keyway, comprises a safety element which is in the form of a magnetically encodeable closure which can be opened by a magnetically coded disk and, which, in its locked position, covers the key aperture or keyway. The magnetically codeable closure may either be a magnetically encodeable padlock having a steel shackle which is held between guide disks of a guide element on the safety armature, or a solidly mounted mounting with a slide unit which is movable on the mounting and that can be latched by means of the magnetically encodeable enclosure.
Abstract: In a radar system comprising equipment for transmitting frequency modulated pulses and compressing the received signals in a filter for frequency-dependent weighting, the weighting is asymmetrical in a manner such that the leading sidelobes of the pulse compression signal are reduced and the lagging sidelobes are raised. The reduced leading sidelobes can easily be reduced below an amplitude threshold so that the main echo lobe within the pulse compression signal is reliably acquired for determining the closest target distance. The invention may advantageously be applied to ground tracking radars.
