Abstract: An electronically servo-assisted gearshift actuates a multiple gear-shifting that moves a chain from a current toothed wheel to a target toothed wheel not immediately adjacent to the current toothed wheel in a gearshift group having at least three toothed wheels. Actuating the multiple gear-shifting takes several steps (i) actuating a single gear-shifting to move the chain to a toothed wheel immediately adjacent to the current toothed wheel in the gear-shifting direction, and (ii) repeating step (i) until the immediately adjacent toothed wheel is the target toothed wheel.
Abstract: With respect to a first wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU), at least one WTRU near the periphery of other cells is determined. Out of the at least one WTRU near the periphery, at least one WTRU nearby that WTRU is determined. The first WTRU codes are provided of the at least one nearby WTRU. A contribution of the at least one nearby WTRU is canceled from a received signal at a first WTRU, producing an interference canceled signal. Data of the first WTRU is detected from the interference canceled signal.

Abstract: Implementation of communication in a multi-protocol wireless network communication network is performed according to protocols independently selected for forward and reverse communication links. A communication request is made according to predetermined criteria, and a communication link is established responsive to the request. A determination is made of a preferred communication protocol in at least one direction (forward or reverse link). The communication link is established for that direction in accordance with the preferred communication protocol while controlling communication in the other direction independently.

Here, the center of the displacement path (15) should be essentially identical to the rotational center (17) of the support (8) when the contact surface (9) interacts with a raised section-free base circle (21) of the cam (3).
Abstract: A transmitter/receiver system for high data transfer in a wireless communication system includes a physical layer processor that comprises an FEC coder, a demultiplexer and a plurality of modem processors. The FEC coder applies error correction codes to the high data rate signal. Thereafter, the demultiplexer distributes portions of the coded high data rate signal to the modem processors. Each modem processor processes its respective portion of the coded signal for transmission in an independent channel.

Abstract: The invention relates to a diaphragm pump (1) including a working diaphragm (3) that, during pumping movements, oscillates between a bottom dead center and a top dead center. The working diaphragm (3) delimits a pump chamber (7) between itself and a concave pump chamber wall (6) and when located at the top dead center position, the working diaphragm (3) rests against the pump chamber wall (6). The working diaphragm (3) has an inner and an outer annular zone (8, 9), which can be deformed during pumping movements, and a stiffened diaphragm area which, in essence, cannot be deformed during pumping movements is placed between these annular zones (8, 9). This non-deformable diaphragm area can be stiffened, for example, by stiffening ribs (10), which are radially oriented and spaced apart in the circumferential direction.

Abstract: A transmitting station receives a transmit power command and a reference signal. The transmit power command indicates an increase or decrease in transmission power for the transmitting station. A received power level of the reference signal is measured and the measured reference signal received power level is compared to a transmit power level of the reference signal to produce a pathloss estimate of the reference signal. A size of a change in transmit power level is determined using the pathloss estimate. A transmission power level of the transmitting station is adjusted in response to the transmit power command in an amount of the determined change in size. A communication is transmitted at the adjusted transmission power level.
