Abstract: The present invention relates to a chip antenna including first and second conductor patterns formed on upper and lower surfaces of a dielectric block in a width direction of the dielectric block. The chip antenna also includes conductive vertical-connecting parts formed in a vertical direction of the dielectric block to connect the first conductor patterns with the second conductor patterns to form a radiation line. The first and second conductor patterns comprise pairs of L-shaped and symmetrical L-shaped conductor patterns having bent parts overlapped in part with each other in a width direction and extended in a longitudinal direction of the dielectric block. Also, horizontal-connecting conductor patterns are formed in a width direction of the dielectric block.
Abstract: A plurality of virtual wireless networks are defined. Each of the plurality of virtual wireless networks has a different set of requirements. A node is capable of producing a plurality of antenna beams or patterns. Each virtual wireless network is associated with a unique group of the antenna beams or patterns. Users of each of the virtual wireless networks communicate using the antenna beams or patterns associated with that virtual wireless network.

Abstract: A bulk bag filler is provided having a frame assembly, a bag filling head, rotatable hooks for engaging bag loops and latch assemblies to engage the rotatable hooks. Abstract: A connection element (9, 10) is provided for the captive mounting of a lever-type cam follower (1), which is used to actuate a gas-exchange valve (5) of an internal combustion engine, on a support element (2). Abstract: There is provided a flat type piezoelectric ultrasonic motor for generating a rotation force to a rotor by ultrasonic vibrations. In the piezoelectric ultrasonic motor, a vibrator is formed of elastic material at a given size, a plurality of piezoelectric plates are attached on the vibrator, a rotor is drivingly connected to the vibrator thereby to be rotated, and a power source unit applies driving voltages to the piezoelectric plates. The piezoelectric plates are arranged on quartered surface areas of the vibrator in such a way that longitudinal axes of neighboring piezoelectric plates form a given angle therebetween and opposing piezoelectric plates have opposite polarizations, and the power source unit applies alternating driving voltages to the piezoelectric plates thereby to make the rotor rotated, thereby making it possible to simplify the piezoelectric plates' shape, minimize its size and enhance its driving efficiency.

Abstract: The invention provides a method of growing a non-polar a-plane gallium nitride. In the method, first, an r-plane substrate is prepared. Then, a low-temperature nitride-based nucleation layer is deposited on the substrate. Finally, the non-polar a-plane gallium nitride is grown on the nucleation layer. In growing the non-polar a-plane gallium nitride, a gallium source is supplied at a flow rate of about 190 to 390 ?mol/min and the flow rate of a nitrogen source is set to produce a V/III ratio of about 770 to 2310.

Abstract: A gate having a latching mechanism which requires two distinctly different unlatching movements which occur in distinctly different directions, but where both of these unlatching movements can be performed with the use of only one hand. In addition, timer/alarm capabilities are provided to emit an alert signal in situations where the gate has been opened and has not been reclosed within a given time interval after the gate was opened. The gate has a self-closing spring assembly arranged within a pivot assembly. Abstract: A simulation is used to determine the effect of additional users on a communications system, such as a slotted wireless communications system. Users are sequentially added and determinations are made as to whether criteria for the additional user fall within predetermined limits. If the criteria are met, the user is accepted by the simulation and a power balancing is performed for all users. The simulation is repeated for each additional user. If the parameters are not within predetermined limits, the user is dropped. The simulation presents the system in a series of “snapshots” of communications activity.
