  • Patent number: 9791719
Abstract: Method for determining a position of an optical lens member placed on a lens blocking ring (22). A reference system, blocking ring data, and optical lens member surface data are provided. Position parameters are provided defining a position of a reference point of the surface of the lens member with respect to the main plane of the reference system and an orientation, about the main axis of said placed surface at said reference point. The position of the placed surface is determined according to the position parameters. During a repositioning step (S6) the placed surface is virtually translated and rotated. During an altitude determination step (S7) a difference in position between the blocking ring and the placed surface is determined. The repositioning and altitude determining steps (S6, S7) are repeated so as to minimize the difference in position between the blocking ring and the placed surface.

  • Patent number: 9791718
Abstract: Progressive multifocal ophthalmic lens having a power addition (Add) and an astigmatism prescription, and having a far vision point CM, a near vision point NV, and an intermediate vision point IV positioned between CM and NV. The resulting astigmatism in the far and near vision zones is smaller than or equal to the resulting astigmatism in the intermediate vision zone, wherein the resulting astigmatism is the difference between the prescribed astigmatism and the astigmatism generated by the working lens under usual wear conditions. The lens provides good optical quality images in the far and near vision zones, and the resulting astigmatism in the intermediate vision zone encourages the wearer to use the far and near vision zones rather than the intermediate vision zone, thus reducing the risk of increasing the degree of myopia of the wearer in the long term.

  • Patent number: 9793226
Abstract: The present invention describes essentially three different embodiments for the implementation of low impedance (over frequency) power delivery to a die. Such low impedance to a high frequency allows the die to operate at package-level speed, thus reducing yield loss at the packaging level. Each embodiment addresses a slightly different aspect of the overall wafer probe application. In each embodiment, however, the critical improvement of this disclosure is the location of the passive components used for supply filtering/decoupling relative to prior art. All three embodiments require a method to embed the passive components in close proximity to the pitch translation substrate or physically in the pitch translation substrate.

  • Patent number: 9790708
Abstract: A magnetic self-latching device for a gate has a main body with handles on either side for operation or has an arrangement to be remotely actuated. A latching body has a high strength magnet usually provided at the bottom of a cavity which defines a latching shoulder. The latching body is adapted to be fixed to a gate post. The main body, with its housing, can be mounted on the gate frame and incorporates a latch pin which, in the door-closed position, is displaced by magnetic attraction to an extended latching position and against the biasing of a return spring. The gate cannot be opened until actuation of the mechanism occurs, for example by rotating a handle to retract the pin against the magnetic force; the gate can then be swung open. When the handle is released, the biasing spring retains the latch pin in a retracted position.
