  • Patent number: 6234432
Abstract: A receiving arrangement is suggested for a hard roof, particularly for a hardtop of a motor vehicle, which is arranged on a movable stand. The movable stand has a carrying device formed of struts which has at least four bearing receiving devices for the hardtop. These bearing receiving devices are arranged to correspond to locks and push-in tongues of the hardtop. The carrying device, together with the bearing receiving devices, is constructed to be separable from the stand and forms a separate, locally fastenable carrying device. Furthermore, it is provided that the stand can be adjusted into a horizontal working position, for which a supporting tube is used which can be supported on the basic stand.

  • Patent number: 6236182
Abstract: A method for determining optimum controller parameters for a digital rotational speed control is described, in which various test signals are applied to a speed control loop and the resulting speed characteristic is determined. The speed characteristic is subsequently weighted with respect to rise time and transient response for various controller parameters, and the most favorable controller parameters are subsequently set in the controller of the control loop. The integral-action time of the control loop is used as a criterion in performing the weighting operation.

  • Patent number: 6234269
Abstract: An operating element is provided for a proximity regulating device for vehicles with an actuating lever. The operating element actuating lever has a rotatably mounted head that can assume a plurality of radial switch positions. If the head is in its initial switch position, the proximity regulating device sets an initial distance from a leading vehicle. As the result of the rotary movement from this initial switch position, one or more additional radial switch positions can be set for a near distance in which the proximity regulating device sets a set distance from a leading vehicle that is shorter than the initial distance. Finally, one or more radial switch positions are provided in which the proximity regulating device sets a far distance that is greater than the initial distance.

  • Patent number: 6219259
Abstract: A circuit arrangement allows a converter to be operated with supply voltages oscillating within broad limits. The intermediate circuit voltage of the converter is controlled to avoid unacceptably high currents, so that the intermediate circuit voltage is always higher than the peak value of the rectified supply voltage. For at least this purpose, the peak value of the rectified supply voltage is determined and compared to that of the intermediate circuit voltage. If the intermediate circuit voltage is less than the peak value of the rectified supply voltage, the intermediate circuit voltage is increased to exceed the originally set setpoint value. This prevents free-wheeling diodes from becoming conductive at undesirable times and causing excessive currents.
