  • Patent number: 6184332
Abstract: The invention concerns novel polyester polyols and their use as the polyol component in two-component polyurethane paints. The polyester polyols produce films which display exceptional properties after hardening. Owing to the low solvent requirement when reaction paints are prepared, they are particularly environmentally friendly. The permanence of the gloss of the hardened coatings should be stressed in particular.

  • Patent number: 6182518
Abstract: The invention provides a process for measuring the relative movement of at least two components, such as a fixed wheel, a loose wheel and a sliding sleeve of a synchronizing device. For analyzing the measuring values after the detection thereof, first at least a portion of the measuring values is adjusted by linking them with one another, taking into account known marginal conditions. By means of a subsequent standardization of the series of measuring values, in addition, as required, the reference system (the location of the observer of the measurement), can be freely selected. Thus, it is possible to observe the event from a particularly suitable reference system, such as the synchronizing rotational speed. The joint display of the series of measuring values precisely defines the relative movement of the observed components.

  • Patent number: 6181582
Abstract: A circuit arrangement for generating representations of supply voltages that includes a first path that receives control signals, the first path having a subtracter for forming a difference signal from two of the control signals and a low pass filter to receive the difference signal. A second path receives the control signals, the second path includes a second low pass filters that passes frequencies higher than the first low pass filter does. Output signals of the first and second paths are fed to a combination network which, as a function of the difference between the output signals of the first and second paths, passes on the output signals of one of the first and second paths.

  • Patent number: 6178656
Abstract: A device and a method for mechanically adjusting graduation-scale carrier members, which form a scale for a preferably incremental measuring system. The device and the method can be used both for angle measuring instruments as well as for length measuring instruments. A wedge-shaped form-locking between segments of the graduation-scale carrier members and fixing elements enables forces produced by setting screws orthogonally to the measuring direction and exerted on the fixing elements to be varied in their effective direction, so that they have a component that is parallel to the measuring direction and, thus, to the extension of the graduation-scale carrier member. As a result, the setting screws can be used to exert a compressive or tensile force on the graduation-scale carrier member to be used for the adjustment thereof. The gap width at the joint of two graduation-scale carrier members can be adjusted in the same way as is the graduation-scale carrier member.

  • Patent number: 6176366
Abstract: An apparatus for the supply of bags formed into stacks to a point where in each case the top bag of the stack is to be opened, contains two parallel conveyors, e.g. in the form of revolving chains, which are synchronously driven. The stacks are held together by two holding members. The holding members are so inserted with a widened foot in the holders of the conveyor that they can be slid out of the holders again through a stop member. These holders have a small mutual spacing, so that the stacks of bags can be juxtaposed on the apparatus with a small reciprocal spacing.

  • Patent number: 6175141
Abstract: The invention relates to an opto-electronic sensor component comprising the following: a first semiconducting layer of predetermined conductivity type and a second layer of different semiconductor or metal conductivity type; a transition region between the two layers; at least one surface region through which the electromagnetic radiation to be detected can pass into the transition region (radiation-side surface region); and an electrode for each layer to connect both layers to an electrical circuit. The electrodes of the two layers are mounted on a surface of the component opposite a radiation-side surface region. This simplifies connection of the sensor component to an electrical circuit mounted on a circuit board or the like.
