  • Patent number: 6209945
Abstract: A folding top for a vehicle, particularly for a passenger car, comprises a folding top structure, which is pivotally disposed on vehicle-body-side folding top bases and a folding top covering, the folding top structure having a main hoop and at least one control arm connecting a forward folding top section with the folding top base. While the folding top kinematics are simplified, during the opening operation of the folding top, a coordinated movement takes place between the main hoop and of the control arm disposed in front of the main hoop. An adjusting device is arranged between the material-controlled main hoop and the control arm disposed in front thereof and is operative at least during the opening of the folding top.

  • Patent number: 6200126
Abstract: The injection moulding machine has a plasticizing cylinder, arranged in whose interior there is a worm with an axial through-hole. The interior of the plasticizing cylinder is connected to a nozzle opening via a cylinder chamber. Operating in the cylinder chamber is a needle which extends through the through-hole in the worm and has a smaller diameter than the cylinder chamber. The tip of the worm constitutes, together with a correspondingly shaped sealing seat, a reverse flow barrier during the injection process. After the end of the injection process the worm is rotated and conveys plasticized plastic material in the direction towards the nozzle opening. As a result of the rising pressure in the worm threads the worm is pushed back and the plasticized material can penetrate into the annular space between the needle and the cylinder chamber. When the worm is rotated further, a pressure is also created in the annular space which slides the needle back into its starting position.

  • Patent number: 6195855
Abstract: There is described an apparatus for changing the needle boards (3) of a needling machine, comprising a mounting guide (4) for the needle boards (3) to be coupled to each other in a tension-proof way on both sides of the needle bars disposed one behind the other in direction of the working width of the needling machine, to which needle bars the needle boards (3) are replaceably fixed, comprising a feeding guide (2) for the needle boards (3) in extension of the mounting guide (4) on one side of the needling machine, and comprising a step conveyor (5) associated to the feeding guide (2), which step conveyor has engageable and disengageable carriers for the needle boards (3). To create advantageous constructional conditions it is proposed that the carriers of the step conveyor (5) constitute centering pins (9) which engage in centering bushes (10) of the needle boards (3).

  • Patent number: 6194710
Abstract: An angle measuring device for measuring the angular position of two objects, which can be rotated in respect to each other. The device includes a graduated disk with a graduation and fastened on a hub. A scanning mechanism to scan the graduated disk and a fixation element including an axially extending projection of the hub, which is rigid in the axial direction and elastically resilient in the radial direction so as to fix the axial position relation between the graduated disk and the scanning mechanism, wherein the projection exists in a position of rest where the projection does not contact the scanning mechanism. A pressure element that displaces the projection from the position of rest to a clamping position where the projection clamps the scanning mechanism.

  • Patent number: 6191272
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for the preparation of endo-nortropine using 8-benzyl-nortropan-3-one perchlorate, as well as the latter product. Endo-nortropine is the key product for the production of important azonia-spironortropanol esters, which are used as pharmaceuticals, particularly spasmolytics. There are three different synthesis methods for the preparation of said intermediate, which lead to different disadvantages. These problems are obviated by the present invention through the two-stage treatment of 8-benzyl-nortropan-3-one perchlorate with catalytically activated hydrogen, the starting product initially being prehydrogenated in aqueous suspension and at atmospheric pressure and ambient pressure with a palladium catalyst, at the end of the reaction the catalyst is recovered by filtration, the filtrate is passed over an anion exchanger and the now alkaline reacting solution is rendered turbulent at 1000 to 1500 r.p.m.
