  • Patent number: 4305353
Abstract: A motor brake control system for use on a motor having a motor brake retarder and a throttle fuel control is designed to respond to manual selection for sequentially retarding the selected cylinders in the motor. A transducer for sensing the speed of the motor is provided for generating a series of output pulses which access a high RPM detector and a low RPM detector. In the event that the motor exceeds a predetermined high RPM value, the brake control system activates all of the retarders to fully brake the motor. In the event that the brake retarders are on, either fully or partially, and the motor drops below a predetermined low RPM value, the brake retarders are released. Provision is made to prevent retardation of the motor as long as the throttle of the motor is being activated and retardation is further provided after deactivation of the throttle until the fuel in the fuel delivery system has been consumed.

  • Patent number: 4305412
Abstract: The improved eyelash curler of the present invention comprises a blade, a pad, support means holding the pad substantially horizontally below the substantially horizontal blade and means for vertically controllably opposing the pad and blade to curl eyelashes therebetween. The surface of the blade and/or pad which contacts the eyelashes during curling thereof is substantially curved and/or sloped from the horizontal to impart varying degrees of curl to various portions of the eyelashes for an improved natural appearance. The pad and/or blade can be made removable from the curler and, preferably, reversible. The curler may, if desired, be adapted for primary use for one eye, specifically the eyelashes of the upper lid of one eye, and a pair of such curlers can be used, one for each eye. The curler is simple, inexpensive and effective.

  • Patent number: 4305709
Abstract: A mouthpiece for covering or protecting the upper dentition of patients under medical or surgical treatments involving oral intervention, comprising an arched tray member to be placed on the dentition and a resilient loop member connected with opposed exterior wall portions of the tray member and in its natural position extending rearwardly from the tray member in the general plane of this member. When the loop member is bent downwardly and forwardly against its own resiliency the foremost portion thereof may be placed in the groove between the outside of the lower dentition and the inside of the underlip and lower cheek portions of the patient, whereby the upper tray member will be effectively held in its mounted position with a low degree of discomfort for the patient. The mouthpiece also causes a certain cheek distension for better skin fit of a mask.
