Abstract: A glove box assembly exhibiting controlled deformation characteristics and including a three-dimensional and volume holding bin. A door includes an inner panel incorporating a variety of stiffening and supporting ribs projecting in a substantially grid-shaped fashion and along specified areas of the inner panel associated with an occupant knee impact zone. Additional uninterrupted surfaces are separated by the ribs and create softer hand impact zones. An outer panel substantially matches the inner panel in overall configuration and, upon being vibrationally welded to the inner panel along selected ribs, exhibits an exposed face defining the knee and hand impact zones when the glove box assembly is recess mounted within a vehicle dashboard.

Abstract: A limitation in the physical resolution of an image sensor offers a motivation to improve the resolution of an image. Super-resolution is mainly applied to gray scale images, and it has not been thoroughly investigated yet that a high resolution color image is reconstructed from an image sensor having a color filter array. An object of the invention is to directly reconstruct a high resolution color image from color mosaic obtained by an image sensor having a color filter array. A high resolution color image reconstruction method according to the invention is based on novel technique principles of color image reconstruction that an increase in resolution and demosaicing are performed at the same time. The verification and effective implement of the invention are also described.

Abstract: Axially compressible, high bandwidth F-connectors designed for conventional installation hand tools for interconnection with coaxial cable. Each connector has a rigid nut that is axially and rotatably secured to a molded plastic, tubular body. A rigid, conductive post coaxially extends through the connector, linking the nut and body. A post barbed end penetrates the cable within the connector. The body has a tubular shank with an obstruction-free surface and an integral stop ring. A tubular, metallic end cap is slidably fitted to the body shank, and thereafter forcibly compressed lengthwise, with travel limited by the stop ring. No detented structure is formed on the body, and the end cap can irreversibly assume any position, being held by end cap teeth. A tactile system comprising convex projections on the stop ring complemented by a resilient O-ring on the end cap helps installers determine correct placement through the sense of touch.

Abstract: A system and method expands a source operand to a width greater than that of a general purpose register or a data path. Operands are provided substantially larger than the data path width of a processor. The general purpose register specifies a memory address from which several data path widths of data are read. A data path functional unit is augmented with dedicated storage to which the memory operand is copied on initial execution of the instruction. Further instructions specifying the same memory address read the dedicated storage to obtain the operand value, upon verification that the memory operand has not been altered by intervening instructions. If the memory operand remains current, the memory operand fetch is combined with register operands in the functional unit, producing a result the size of a general register, so no dedicated storage is required for the result.
Abstract: To pick and place standard dice on a new base for obtaining an appropriate and wider distance between dice than the original distance of dice on a wafer. The package structure has a larger size of balls array than the size of the die by fan out type wafer level package. Moreover, the die may be packaged with passive components or other dice with a side by side structure or a stacking structure.

Abstract: A leadless lead-frame mainly includes a chip paddle and a plurality of leads. The chip paddle has chip disposal areas, and a grounding area surrounding the chip disposal area. The grounding area has a recession with a recession-bottom and a recession-wall connecting to the recession-bottom. An angle is formed between the recession-wall and the recession-bottom, and the angle is less than 90 degrees. The leads surround the chip paddle. The chip paddle has a cavity and the cavity has a cavity-bottom serving as the chip disposal area, and the depth of the cavity is equal to half of the thickness of the chip paddle.

Abstract: The invention is objected to enable the provision of an vessel steel plate measuring device capable of measuring the thickness of vessel steel plate, even in the case of a vessel having a vessel mirror part formed by a spherical or conical curved surface such as a reactor (reaction vessel) and various kinds of obstructions at a vessel barrel. The structure of the device is characterized in that a supporting point member 20 is detachably provided from a supporting point set at the central axis of the vessel mirror part 1a of a reactor 1, and a traveling carrier 6 traveling on a steel plate of the vessel mirror part 1a and having plural ultrasonic probes 7 mounted thereon is connected to one end of a turning radius regulating member 19 rotatively provided around the supporting point member 20.
Abstract: An interface system of the present invention interconnects with a collision avoidance system and a radar detector. The interface system monitors and determines when sensors, from the collision avoidance system, are not required and selectively turns them off, thereby eliminating interference from the sensor and allowing the radar detector to work properly. The interface system also acts as a filter which enables and disables the audible and visual alerts of the radar detector and selects when to turn these filters on and off.
Abstract: A programmable processor and method for improving the performance of processors by expanding at least two source operands, or a source and a result operand, to a width greater than the width of either the general purpose register or the data path width. The present invention provides operands which are substantially larger than the data path width of the processor by using the contents of a general purpose register to specify a memory address at which a plurality of data path widths of data can be read or written, as well as the size and shape of the operand. In addition, several instructions and apparatus for implementing these instructions are described which obtain performance advantages if the operands are not limited to the width and accessible number of general purpose registers.

Abstract: Disclosed is a device holder and storage compartment for use in a motor vehicle. The device holder and storage compartment are in the form of a slidable drawer that is concealed within a dashboard when in a closed position and extended from the dashboard when in an open position. The drawer has a generally horizontal bottom surface, a front end wall, a back end wall oppositely disposed from the front end wall, a first side wall and a second side wall adjoining the front end wall and the back end wall. All the walls are generally vertical in orientation. The drawer also has a generally vertical dividing wall spaced apart from the front end wall. The dividing wall defines a front region between the dividing wall and the front end wall and a rear region between the dividing wall and the back end wall. A front cover can be moveably attached to the drawer proximate the front end wall and move between a closed position and an open position.
