  • Patent number: 10772565
Abstract: The delivery system may include, for example, an outer catheter having a distal tip and an inner support member, such as an inner catheter, disposed within the outer catheter. The inner support member includes an anchor member adjacent a distal tip of the inner support member and a support portion axially inward of the anchor member. The support portion is configured for supporting an implantable device thereon. A diameter of the anchor member corresponds to a diameter of a portion of a vessel in which the anchor member is to be disposed. The anchor member is configured to be lodged in the portion of the vessel to locate an intended position of the anchor member and to prevent movement of the inner support member relative to the vessel during release of the implantable device.

  • Patent number: 10772560
Abstract: A wearable paper-based platform with simultaneous passive and active feedback for monitoring perspiration is provided. The sensor platform comprises two modules: a disposable wicking-based sweat collection patch with discrete colorimetric feedback, and a reusable electronic detachable module for active feedback. The disposable patch comprises a hygroscopic wicking material laminated between two polymeric films. The wicking material is patterned with a radial finger design that offers discretized visual readout of the sensor. The active module attaches to the film and alerts the user when the film collects a pre-determined volume of sweat. The multi-feedback system allows high-performance athletes who value objective quantification of perspiration to better assess their sweat loss during physical activities.

  • Patent number: 10778194
Abstract: Various examples related to automatically composing universal filters are presented. In one example, among others, a system includes processing circuitry that can organize data received by the system into clusters or quasi-orthogonal regions, which are organized based upon a centroid threshold distance. The data can be organized by applying a cluster and retain operation, a cluster and merge operation or a split and retain operation. The system can then determine filter weights based at least in part upon centers of the clusters; update a content addressable filter bank (CAFB) based upon the filter weights; and filter subsequently received data based upon the CAFB. In another example, a method includes receiving and organizing initial data into clusters or quasi-orthogonal regions; determining filter weights based at least in part upon centers of the clusters; updating a CAFB based upon the filter weights; and receiving and filtering subsequent data based upon the CAFB.

  • Publication number: 20200285714
Abstract: Systems and methods for diagnosing prostate cancer. Image sets (e.g., MRI collected at one or more b-values) and biological values (e.g., prostate specific antigen (PSA)) have features extracted and integrated to produce a diagnosis of prostate cancer. The image sets are analyzed primarily in three steps: (1) segmentation, (2) feature extraction, smoothing, and normalization, and (3) classification. The biological values are analyzed primarily in two steps: (1) feature extraction and (2) classification. Each analysis results in diagnostic probabilities, which are then combined to pass through an additional classification stage. The end result is a more accurate diagnosis of prostate cancer.
