Abstract: A level converter includes a first circuit which converts a first level of a signal into a second level which is higher than the first level, and a second circuit which causes a potential of a given node of the level converter to be defined rapidly when the level converter is in a state other than a normal state in which the first circuit converts the first level of the signal into the second level.
Abstract: A current charged into or discharged from a phase-compensating capacitor C1 in an output circuit is controlled by a level shift circuit so that the current is kept constant for input signals inputted to the input terminals IN+ and IN- of a differential amplifier circuit, and also a current charged into or discharged from a phase-compensating capacitor C2 is controlled by the current correcting circuit so that the current become equal to a constant current controlled by the level shift circuit, namely to a current charged into or discharged from the phase-compensating capacitor C1. Therefore, even if a quickly rising or falling signal is inputted into the differential amplifier circuit, the MOS transistor MP11 or MN11 is not set in an offset state, which prevents generation of an overshoot or an undershot in the output terminal.

Abstract: The DC output of a power conversion unit is controlled based on a pulse signal generated by a PWM unit. An operations unit detects an output current Iout, and determines the operation mode of a load based on the detected current value. When the output current Iout is weak, a value smaller than usual is written to a cycle register. The PWM unit generates a pulse signal according to the data stored in the cycle register and an on-time register.

Each of the transmission terminal and the transport terminal includes an alarm indication insertion unit which inserts an alarm indication in the SDH frame, the alarm indication indicating whether a related channel line has failed. The SDH frame containing the alarm indication is transmitted to the reception terminal prior to transmission of the data on the related channel line. The reception terminal includes a control unit which outputs a selected one of the SDH frame on the working channel line and the SDH frame on the protection channel line in response to the alarm indication received by the control unit.
Abstract: The present invention is a memory circuit having memory cell array transistors with floating gates, wherein the boost ratio of the boosted voltage generating circuit is varied so that the boosted voltage level for driving wordlines during reading becomes constant depending on the power source voltage level. Specifically, when the power source voltage decreases, the boost ratio increases and when the power source voltage increases, the boost ratio decreases. As a result, the boosted voltage for driving wordlines during reading can be maintained within a prescribed range and appropriate read operations can be ensured.

Abstract: Disclosed are an animation creating method and system for creating an executive scenario of animation while reducing a load to be imposed by animation reproduction, and an animation reproducing method and system for reproducing the executive scenario. A scenario described in the form of paired data including identifiers of frame data items and reproduction tempos is input. When frame data items are reproduced at intervals of a designated unit reproduction time, the number of frame data items needed to realize each reproduction tempo is calculated. An identifier of a frame data item associated with the reproduction tempo is copied so that the same number of identifiers as the calculated number of frame data items can be produced. Thus, an executive scenario composed of a series of frame data items is created. It is then detected whether or not the cycle of the unit reproduction time has elapsed.
Abstract: A data transfer system enables a terminal to download data from a base station through another terminal even if the terminal in question is unable to communicate with the base station. The system includes the base station connected to a host system, and terminals for communicating with the base station. The terminals download data from the host system through the base station. If a given terminal is unable to communicate with the base station, the given terminal downloads the data from a second terminal, if the data is stored in the second terminal. Also provided is a method of realizing such a data transfer system.
Abstract: A library apparatus of the present invention has directors which respectively determine operations of two carrying devices traveling along one traveling path. A servo control units move the carrying devices based on the determination of the directors. The serv control units obtain positional data of the carrying devices, and judge whether or not the carrying devices come into contact with each other by comparing these pieces of positional data. The servo control unit, when judging that the carrying devices come into contact with each other, stops a driving circuit of each carrying device. A drive of a motor for supplying each carrying device with power is thereby stopped, and the carrying device is stopped.
Abstract: An area division unit divides a part placement area into a plurality of divided areas based on an area granularity. A part gravity value operation unit and a parts replacement unit extract a set of parts at each end of a connection line for each placement according to a connection line definition table and a parts placement table. If each part belonging to the set of parts obtained in the second process exists in a different divided area for each connection line, then the placement of each part belonging to a divided area is amended in the divided area in such a way that a connection line length between the parts can be shortened. A repetition control unit repeats a series of the above described processes while optionally changing a division starting position of the area division unit. An area granularity change unit repeats the series of the processes up to this point while gradually reducing an area granularity each time the above described series of processes terminate.
Abstract: A first group of asynchronous clock converters effect the conversion between a DNE clock and an RDT clock to which DS-0 data and signalling data are synchronized, for the data items which are transferred between a cross-connector and a DNE. A second group of asynchronous clock converters effect the conversion between a CPE clock and the RDT clock to which DS-0 data and signalling data are synchronized, for the data items which are transferred between the cross-connector and a CPE. As a result, cross-connect processes based on the single RDT clock are realized, and loop timings are guaranteed for the DNE and the CPE.
Abstract: Data transferred from a host computer to a memory device is written into sectors whose addresses in a memory area are decoded by a decode table. Old data to be updated by the above data is erased or marked with erase flags. At a predetermined point of time, in order to create free areas, necessary data is evacuated to a primary memory media and unnecessary data indicated by erase flags is erased by a unit of predetermined memory size. Part of the memory media which has become defective is marked with a defect flag, and is replaced by an alternate area. In doing so, the decode table is rewritten to rearrange the memory area.
Abstract: An intermediate implant step is performed to optimize the performance of the transistors in the peripheral portion of a floating gate type memory integrated circuit. The polysilicon layer (Poly 1) that forms the floating gate in the respective floating gate type memory devices prevents penetration of the optimizing implant into the core region in which the floating gate memory devices are formed. This permits the optimization implant to be performed without the need for an additional mask, thus reducing costs and production time.

Abstract: A fault monitoring apparatus for a mobile communication system is capable of quickly detecting a fault and will prevent a radio wave level measurement test from being carried out unnecessarily. A call loss information collecting unit detects the numbers of outgoing and incoming calls and the numbers of base-station-disconnected calls in respective components of base stations, and accumulates and stores the detected numbers in corresponding memory areas of a call loss information table. A test region determining unit reads the accumulated numbers of outgoing and incoming calls and the accumulated numbers of base-station-disconnected calls from the call loss information table, and calculates call loss probabilities in the respective components. The test region determining unit also specifies a component of the base stations which is to be automatically tested for fault detection, based on the calculated call loss probabilities.
