Abstract: A bit interleaver, a bit-interleaved coded modulation (BICM) device and a bit interleaving method are disclosed herein. The bit interleaver includes a first memory, a processor, and a second memory. The first memory stores a low-density parity check (LDPC) codeword having a length of 64800 and a code rate of 3/15. The processor generates an interleaved codeword by interleaving the LDPC codeword on a bit group basis. The size of the bit group corresponds to a parallel factor of the LDPC codeword. The second memory provides the interleaved codeword to a modulator for 1024-symbol mapping.

Abstract: Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) for use in the detection, localization, and quantification of gas leaks are provided. Abstract: An object of the present invention is to solve problems in terms of stagnation of research on norovirus by providing a cultured transgenic cell or a transgenic animal in which murine norovirus (MNV) can be grown across the barrier of host specificity in mammalian cells, and providing a screening method that uses the cultured transgenic cell or the transgenic animal. The present inventors have found that MNV infection is determined in a cultured transgenic mammalian cell or a mammal possessing the cultured transgenic mammalian cell as its own cell, the cultured transgenic mammalian cell containing one or more species selected from the entirety or a portion of the murine CD300F gene and/or a CD300 family gene having an extracellular domain nucleotide sequence similar to that of the murine CD300F gene. The present inventors have solved the aforementioned problems by providing, for example, a norovirus-related drug screening method on the basis of this finding.

Abstract: A method of eliminating dissimilar metal welds has been disclosed. The method includes the steps of providing a first part having a first alloy composition; providing a second part having a second alloy composition different from the first part; connecting a containment structure to the first part; pouring a powder into the containment structure such that the powder is in contact with the first part; positioning a portion of the second part in the containment structure such that the second part compresses the powder between the first and second parts; and performing hot isostatic pressing (HIP) to consolidate the powder and join the first and second parts together.

Abstract: The disclosed technology generally relates to a tire, and more particularly to a non-pneumatic tire that has handling performance similar to a pneumatic tire, supports the load of a vehicle and improves riding comfort by employing a parametric structure. In one aspect, a non-pneumatic tire includes a tread that comes in contact with the ground, a rim that is connected with an axle, and a spoke unit that functions as a structural support between the rim and the tread, in which the spoke unit is formed by circularly arranging spokes. Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for determining a surface runoff yield in a vegetation-covered area. The present invention improves and integrates a water conservation model with a Zhang's model based on remote sensing data. The present invention constructs a new method for calculating a surface runoff yield in a vegetation-covered area on a spatial pixel scale based on a water balance equation of the vegetation-covered area. This method utilizes real-time dynamic multi-temporal remote sensing data to calculate a vegetation canopy interception water storage, a vegetation litterfall interception water storage, a soil water storage change, a vegetation water conservation, a vegetation evapotranspiration and a vegetation runoff yield. The method realizes the long-term dynamic estimation of the surface runoff yield in regional and global vegetation-covered areas on a spatial pixel scale. It has the advantages of being efficient, fast, accurate, and applicable to large-scale vegetation-covered areas.
