  • Patent number: 9601246
Abstract: A hard magnetic material formed of material powders made of a R—Fe—N compound containing a light rare earth element as R, or material powders made of a Fe—N compound is used as material powders. There is formed a compact in which a density of the hard magnetic material powders differs between an outer face side portion and an inside portion of the compact such that a rate of progress of powder bonding due to microwave heating is higher in the inside portion of the compact than in the outer face side portion of the compact when an outer face of the compact is irradiated with microwaves. Then, the outer face of the compact is irradiated with the microwaves to cause the microwave heating, thereby bonding the hard magnetic material powders by oxide films which are formed on the hard magnetic material powders.

  • Publication number: 20170073001
Abstract: A vehicle steering system includes a higher-level ECU and a lower-level ECU. The lower-level ECU includes a steered angle limit setter, and steered angle limiters. The steered angle limit setter sets an allowable upper limit to a target inner and outer wheel steered angle difference responsive to the absolute value of a target outer steered angle. The steered angle limit setter calculates a limit to the absolute value of a target inner steered angle. The steered angle limit setter subsequently sets this limit for one of the steered angle limiters that is fed the target inner steered angle in the present calculation cycle. The limiter, which is fed the target inner steered angle, limits the absolute value of the target inner steered angle so that the absolute value of the target inner steered angle is equal to or below the limit, and outputs the resulting value.

  • Publication number: 20170070129
Abstract: In manufacturing permanent magnets by filling insertion holes of a core with a magnet material, the density of the magnetic flux entering the magnet material can be restrained from being limited by the saturation magnetic flux density of the core. A guide member is placed so as to face a core in an axial direction. An orienting/magnetizing device faces the core and the guide member in the radial direction and applies a magnetic field to the guide member and the core in the radial direction. Insertion holes of the core are filled with the magnet material through guide holes of the guide member. The magnetic field is therefore applied from the orienting/magnetizing device to the magnet material passing through the guide holes.

Abstract: An interior permanent magnet rotor restrains demagnetization of permanent magnets embedded in a core. Each permanent magnet is formed by joining a first portion and a second portion at a connection. The first and second portions extend from the outer side toward the inner side in the radial direction of the core. • Patent number: 9586614
Abstract: An ECU acquires a steering torque detected by a torque sensor (step S1). The ECU drives an electromagnet of a solenoid actuator (step S2). The ECU drives a steering operation motor in accordance with the direction of the detected steering torque acquired in step S1 to apply, to an output shaft of a clutch, a torque acting in such a direction that a torque being exerted on a clutch mechanism is reduced (step S3). When a predetermined time has elapsed since driving of the steering operation motor in step S3 (step S4: YES), the ECU 40 reverses a driving direction of the steering operation motor to apply, to the output shaft of the clutch, a torque acting in a direction opposite to the direction of the last torque applied (step S5).

  • Patent number: 9587676
Abstract: A self-aligning roller bearing includes an outer ring, an inner ring, spherical rollers, a cage having a plurality of pockets that contain the spherical rollers, and a guide ring. Each spherical roller may be rotated on an imaginary line passing through a contact point at which the spherical roller contacts an outer raceway surface and a contact point at which the spherical roller contacts an inner raceway surface. Each pocket has a clearance between the pocket and a corresponding spherical roller, and the size of the pocket is set so that the rotation of the corresponding spherical roller is limited. The guide ring has such a side-surface shape that a small clearance is ensured between the spherical roller and the guide ring even when the spherical roller is rotated, in the pocket, on the imaginary line by a maximum amount at which the rotation of the spherical roller is limited.
