  • Patent number: 11067551
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a device for measuring the amount of oxygen present in a gas to be analyze. The device includes at least one member for measuring the amount of oxygen, a first inlet in communication with the measuring member for the supply of gas to be analyzed, and an outlet for the discharge of said analyzed gas. The device also includes a second inlet intended to communicate with the measuring member, allowing said device to be supplied selectively with a calibration gas having a known amount of oxygen, such that the measurement of the amount of oxygen present in the calibration gas makes it possible to determine a potential drift of the measurement of said measuring member relative to the actual known amount of oxygen present in the calibration gas.

  • Publication number: 20210199244
Abstract: A hydrogen refilling station for filling tanks of fuel cell electric vehicles includes a liquid hydrogen tank that feeds liquid hydrogen to an upstream end of a filling circuit that also includes a heat exchanger. The heat exchanger exchanges heat between the liquid hydrogen and heat transfer fluid flows to thereby cool the heat transfer fluid and vaporize the liquid hydrogen to provide a supply of high pressure hydrogen gas for filling hydrogen-fueled vehicle tanks at a downstream end of the circuit. Because the liquid hydrogen is surrounded by the heat transfer fluid inside the heat exchanger, little if any fogging occurs.

  • Publication number: 20210199378
Abstract: A method and apparatus for reducing heat bumps following regeneration of adsorbers in an air separation unit is provided. Certain embodiments of the current invention utilize the two waste streams available at very different temperatures from the two main exchangers (low-pressure and high-pressure core exchangers) for regeneration of the front-end purification adsorbers in the air separation unit (ASU) to reduce its energy consumption without compromising the stability of process. Certain embodiments help to eliminate/minimize high air temperature disturbance (heat bump) for the process downstream of the front-end purification unit during the transition from offline to online.

  • Publication number: 20210190421
Abstract: A method for temperature-controlled delivery of the gaseous product at temperatures at or below ambient in the event of an air separation unit failure. In one embodiment, a first portion of a stored cryogenic liquid product is sent to the back-up vaporizer and heated to ambient conditions, and a second portion of stored cryogenic liquid product, which is at the cryogenic storage temperature, bypasses the back-up vaporizer using a bypass line controlled by a bypass valve and is mixed with the vaporized gas. This mixed stream will then preferably go through a static mixer in order to get to an homogenous temperature that is below the ambient temperature. A temperature control loop can be used to adjust the opening of the by-pass valve in order to reach the desired product temperature.
