A height-adjustable mounting system for a rolling basket soil tillage implement is also disclosed for use with a planter that enables such an implement to be raised above the soil as needed to avoid wet conditions.
Abstract: The present invention relates to methods and arrangements for controlling uplink transmit power to be used by the UE. The UE comprises multiple radio interfaces wherein at least one of the multiple interfaces is a cellular radio interface. The UE stores information comprising a total transmit power budget set aside for use over the multiple radio interfaces of the UE and receives transmit power control commands from a network node on the cellular radio interface indicating whether the UE should increase or decrease or maintain the uplink transmit power on the cellular radio interface. Transmit power levels to be used for uplink transmissions over the multiple radio interfaces based on the received transmit power control commands are calculated, wherein the said total transmit power budget for the multiple radio interfaces is taken into account.

Abstract: A variable capacitance system including a first electrode, a second electrode, and a layer of elastically deformable dielectric material positioned between the first and the second electrode. An electret forms with the first electrode a first capacitor, and the electret forms with the second electrode a second capacitor. Capacitances of the first and second capacitors vary with deformation of the dielectric layer. The first electrode, the second electrode, and the first electret follow deformations of the dielectric layer and a deformation of the dielectric layer causes an inverse variation of capacitances of the first and of the second capacitor. Abstract: The invention relates to the field of the optical recording of information on a medium, such as an optical disc. To read an optical disc in super-resolution mode, a procedure for optimizing the power of the read laser beam is implemented. This optimization is based on the observation that a correlation exists between the power allowing the disc to be read without risk in super-resolution mode and the amplitude of the read signal which results from the reading of marks having the smallest possible dimension (marks 2 T). The amplitude of the optical disc is measured for several powers of decreasing values of the read laser, the reduction in amplitude is observed. A read power is selected as a function of the power for which a decrease (for example 5%) is noted in the amplitude measured at the start.

Abstract: Provided are improved agricultural processes for the improved cultivation of crops of rice varieties modified to be tolerant to imparted with resistance to imidazolinone type herbicides wherein the crops are treated to control undesired vegetative growth using a halosulfuron methyl herbicidal composition to provide improved herbicidal efficacy. Also provided are compositions useful in the improved agricultural processes, as well as herbicidal treatment regimens. Unexpectedly high rates of efficacy against one or more of Sesbania hemp (Sesbania exaltata), Indian Joint vetch (Aeschynomene indica), and Alligator weed (Alternanthera philoxeroides) amongst rice crops are disclosed.

Abstract: An identification document manufacturing method makes an identification document with an optically variable security feature by forming a lens structure in the document's lamination layer along with image information. The document is formed together with the laminate and ink such that the lens profile enables display of the at least two different images when the document is viewed at different predetermined angles. An information bearing document comprises a core layer, an image layer depicting at least two different images, and a laminate layer. The laminate layer is pressed on the core layer such that it forms a lens profile that enables display of the at least two different images when the document is viewed at different predetermined angles.

Abstract: A multi-domain vertical alignment liquid crystal display that does not require physical features on the substrate (such as protrusions and ITO slits) is disclosed. Each pixel of the MVA LCD is subdivided into color components, which are further divided into color dots. The drive component areas, i.e. where switching elements and storage capacitors are located, are converted to associated dots by adding an electrode that can be electrically biased. The voltage polarity of the color dots and associated dots are arranged so that fringe fields in each color dot causes multiple liquid crystal domains in each color dot. Specifically, the color dots and associated dots of a pixel are arranged so that associated dots have opposite polarity as compared to neighboring color dots.

Abstract: An IR signaling generator and method divides the functionality of generation between software and hardware to provide a flexible way to generate IR signals, such as remote control signals. The hardware includes a clock generator for generating a carrier clock signal and a data clock signal, a buffer memory that is loaded with instructions representing an encoded data sequence; a control circuit, and a transmitter including a modulator. Each instruction contains an on/off value that is to be modulated with the data clock signal and a pulse duration value that indicates how long the on/off value is to modulate the clock signal. Using the data clock signal, the control circuit measures the amount of time the on/off value modulates the clock signal and causes the buffer to advance to the next instruction in the sequence when the measured amount of time is equal to the pulse duration value.
