Abstract: It is described herein a lighting fixture. The lighting fixture may comprise a base, a lighting element, an attachment mechanism, and an optional spacer. In embodiments where the spacer is not present, the base may comprise a base recess within a top surface of the base for routing of an electrical communication connection of the lighting element. In embodiments where the spacer is present, the spacer may comprise a spacer recess within a top surface of the spacer for routing of the electrical communication connection. The base, the lighting element, and the optional spacer may be connected to one another by the attachment mechanism. Also described herein is a lighting fixture kit comprising a base, a lighting element, an attachment mechanism, and optionally a spacer.

Abstract: A sensor system includes a sensor including a sensor window; a nozzle aimed at the sensor window; a supply line to supply fluid to the nozzle; a primary reservoir to supply fluid to the supply line; a first valve actuatable to inject fluid from a first reservoir into the supply line; a second valve actuatable to inject fluid from a second reservoir into the supply line; a third valve actuatable to inject fluid from a third reservoir into the supply line; and a computer communicatively coupled to the sensor and the valves. The computer is programmed to actuate the first valve in response to determining a first condition based on data from the sensor, actuate the second valve in response to determining a second condition based on data from the sensor, and actuate the third valve in response to determining a third condition based on data from the sensor.

Abstract: Methods and systems for displaying content items on an information resource include identifying a supplemental content item to append to a DOM tree of the information resource and identifying a first content item displayed in a first container of the information resource. The methods also includes monitoring a position of a predetermined portion of the first content item relative to a viewport of the application and determining, responsive to monitoring the position of the predetermined portion of the first content item, that the first content item is visible within the viewport of the application. The method also includes appending the supplemental content item in a second container at a first position between the first container and an end of the information resource and displaying the supplemental content item within the viewport of the application responsive to detecting a scroll action towards the end of the information resource.

Abstract: In one general aspect, a semiconductor device package can include a die attach paddle having a first surface and a second surface that is opposite the first surface. The package can also include a semiconductor die coupled with the first surface of the die attach paddle. The package can further include a direct-bonded-metal (DBM) substrate. The DBM substrate can include a ceramic layer having a first surface and a second surface that is opposite the first surface; a first metal layer disposed on the first surface of the ceramic layer and coupled with the second surface of the die attach paddle; and a second metal layer disposed on the second surface of the ceramic layer. The second metal layer can be exposed external to the semiconductor device package. The second metal layer can be electrically isolated from the first metal layer by the ceramic layer.

Abstract: Systems, methods, fuel cells, and mixtures to inhibit ionomer permeation into porous substrates using a crosslinked ionomer are described. A method includes preparing an ionomer premix, mixing a crosslinking additive with the ionomer premix to thereby form a crosslinked-ionomer solution, and adding catalyst particles to the crosslinked-ionomer solution to produce a catalyst ink. The ionomer premix includes an ionomer dispersed within a solvent. The catalyst ink includes the catalyst particles distributed homogenously therethrough. The catalyst ink may be cast onto a porous substrate and dried to thereby form a catalyst layer for use in a fuel cell.

Abstract: A hat bracket supports hats having a bill extending from a crown. The bracket has a back plate which may have bores therethrough. The back plate connects at an upper portion to a top arm which extends forwardly and downwardly relative to the back plate. A bottom arm extends forwardly and upwardly relative to the back plate and provides a hat support, such as a whale tail, onto which a rear of the crown is supported with the bill extending upwardly and prevented from outward rotation by the top arm. Multiple brackets may be connected together.

Abstract: A biological reactor system treats concentrated contaminated water with a combination of upflow and downflow bioreactors that are downstream from a reverse osmosis or other concentrator. The system may have a fail safe configuration where flush water may be introduced to the reactors in the event of a power failure or when taking the reactors offline. Many reverse osmosis systems introduce antiscalant treatments upstream so that the reverse osmosis filters do not scale. However, such treatments result in superconcentrated conditions of the antiscalants in the contaminated water processed by the bioreactors. A flushing system may deconcentrate the bioreactors to prevent the antiscalants from precipitating and fouling the bioreactors.

In an embodiment, the electronic device can further include an electronic component that is protected by the protection circuit.

The wrist is articulated via antagonistic translation of a pair of drive members. Various systems are provided for homing one or more drive inputs that cause movement in the wrist and/or the end effector, or for controlling articulation of the drive inputs.

Abstract: The present invention relates in general to the field of water pumps, and more specifically, to an attachment configured to connect to the rear wheel of a motorcycle or motorscooter to provide power to a water pump and a method of pumping water using the attachment. One aspect of the aquacycle pump includes a base plate and a kick-stand support bracket configured to slidably adjust so that the aquacycle pump may be compatible with different sizes of motorcycles or motorscooters. The aquacycle pump may further include a roller that is configured to abut against the rear wheel of the motorcycle or motorscooter. The aquacycle pump may further include a water pump, wherein the water pump is connected to the roller. The aquacycle pump is configured such that as the engine of the motorcycle or motorscooter is started and power is provided to rotate its rear wheel, the abutting roller of the aquacycle pump also rotates.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a produce bag. More specifically, the present invention is directed to a completely recyclable and compostable grocery-type bag for use with produce and other goods. Ideally, the bag is a calendared single-ply paper with heat-sealed seams that is resistant to destruction from moisture. While produce is contemplated, the bag can be used to contain virtually any product. Preferably, such a bag would have a window or an opening so that produce can be viewed and readily identified. The present invention is further directed to a process for creating and filling the above bag. Using a standard printing machine, the adhesive is printed onto the paper in register to desired locations on the paper to form the seams of the bag and, optionally border a window area to be cut out of the paper.

Abstract: A method for controlling automated driving operations of a vehicle includes determining vehicle origin and destination data, and generating a graphical representation of a road network with multiple candidate routes between the vehicle's origin and destination. Road-level data, including speed, turn angle, and/or gradient data, is received for each candidate route, and respective total energy uses are estimated for the vehicle to traverse across the candidate routes. Multiple candidate driving strategies, each having respective speed and acceleration profiles, are determined for the candidate route with the lowest estimated total energy use. An optimal candidate driving strategy is selected through a cost evaluation of the associated speed and acceleration profiles and forward movement simulations of the vehicle over a prediction horizon.

Abstract: A tank for bulk material storage and transport and method for producing same. In an embodiment, a tank is provided that includes a shell having a sidewall, a neck including a first collar, and a tube terminating in a second collar. A frustoconical cap may be secured to the first collar. A substantially conical cap may be secured to the second collar. A liner may be applied to the shell so that the liner substantially covers an interior surface of the sidewall, an interior surface of the neck, at least a portion of the first collar, an interior surface of the tube, and at least a portion of the second collar. Annular thickened segments may be trimmed to prepare the tank for use. The annular thickened segments may be located at an interior joint between the frustoconical cap and the first collar, and/or an interior joint between the substantially conical cap and the second collar. The trimming step may form first and second sealing surfaces of the liner adjacent respectively to the first and second collars.

Abstract: A novel and advantageous packaging system for card packaging system is provided. The card packaging system can hold a card and a promotional item and can display the serial number of the card while keeping the personal identification number for the card hidden. The card packaging system can be easily hung from a merchandise display. The card packaging system may include a card unit comprising a card, a hanger, and a stem, the stem being positioned between the card and the hanger, wherein the card may be separate from the hanger and the stem. The card packaging system may further comprise a case for receiving the card unit, the case including a slot for receiving the stem such that the card is positioned in the case and the hanger extends outwardly from the case.

Abstract: A system and method for generating and utilizing a digital pass with user verification and autofill formatted data is disclosed. Initially, a request is received for the digital pass to be generated for a user. The request includes identification (ID) information that is added to a database. An image is defined for the digital pass, the image incorporating at least a portion of the ID information therein and being editable only by the digital pass management system. The digital pass, which includes the image and a non-image portion that is editable by the user, is generated. At least a portion of the ID information is autofill formatted ID information for utilization with at least some portion of an application. The digital pass is transmitted to the user's mobile device.

Abstract: Systems and methods of maternal and fetal monitoring include acquiring ultrasound physiological data with an ultrasound transducer. A plurality of electrodes acquire biopotential physiological data from the skin of a patient. A controller receives the ultrasound and biopotential physiological data and calculates fetal heart rate (fHR) values, maternal heart rate (mHR) values, and uterine activity (UA) values from the ultrasound and biopotential physiological data.
