Abstract: A rechargeable energy storage system includes a DC-to-DC converter operational to: receive a battery discharge power at two first local nodes; and convert the battery discharge power to a pack discharge power at two first inter-assembly nodes while in a discharge mode in response to a control signal. The DC-to-DC converter is further operational to: receive a pack charge power at the two first inter-assembly nodes; and convert the pack charge power to a battery charge power at the two first local nodes while in a charge mode. A first battery assembly has a first state-of-charge. A second battery assembly has a second state-of-charge, and operates in series with the first battery assembly. The controller is operational to generate the control signal that varies the DC-to-DC converter to balance the first state-of-charge with the second state-of-charge while in the discharge mode.

One or more control settings of the vehicle are changed based on the at least one selected setting to energize at least one component of a propulsion system of the vehicle at a first level of energization. One or more first characteristics of one or more systems of the vehicle are obtained responsive to the energizing of the at least one component at the first level of energization. A condition or operating readiness level of the vehicle is determined based at least in part on the one or more first characteristics.

Abstract: A server acts as an event analyzer for a home security or monitoring system. The server receives a signal from a remote third-party server, the signal including data relating to a condition detected by a device at a premises. The server determines whether the remote third-party server corresponds to a preexisting third-party server registration. The server determines whether the device corresponds to a preexisting device registration. When the remote third-party server is determined to correspond to the preexisting third-party server registration and the device is determined to correspond to the preexisting device registration, the server determines whether the condition detected by the device at the premises is an alarm condition. When the condition detected by the device at the premises is determined to be the alarm condition, the server transmits an alarm signal to a central monitoring station.

Abstract: A procedure for modifying a user interface may include causing a first application on a user device to monitor an electronic session of a second application on the user device. The first application may determine a characteristic of the electronic session, query an API using the determined characteristic for a relevant single-application code, and receive a response back from the API. The first application may detect an activation of a user interface element associated with completing an interaction on the electronic session. In response to the detection, the first application may interrupt a response of the second application to the activation. During the interruption, the first application may modify the interaction, e.g., by injecting execution of the single-application code into the second application, and then cause the response of the second application to resume with the modified interaction.

Abstract: The present disclosure describes providing end-to-end call identity validation of a forwarded call. Identity information associated with a received call invite may be temporarily stored and reused for the forwarded call when a determination is made that the called party is likely to forward the call. If the inbound call is diverted (forwarded) by the called device, a call invite comprising an indication that the invite has been diverted (forwarded) by the called device may be received. The system may match data associated with the diverted call invite with the stored identity information. In some examples, the SHAKEN identity header and SHAKEN token is stored and may be attached to the diverted call invite. DIV authentication may then be performed, and the diverted call invite comprising SHAKEN and DIV identity headers may be provided to the forward-to destination.

A location of interest (LOI) may be identified in displayed content and/or the external environment through the user's gaze, fixation, and/or saccades, and then other actions, such as zoom, rotate, pan, move, open actionable menus, etc., may be performed on the LOI based on the secondary inputs.

Abstract: Sanitizing data can be a cumbersome task, particularly when the volume of data is large, the content is sensitive, and/or the type of sanitation requires contextual determinations. Sanitizing large amounts of data is tedious and may often require highly trained personnel with clearances and/or other qualifications. In the systems and methods of the present disclosure, language models (LMs) are used to solve these and other technical issues with tools that may allow sanitizing data easily, with high versatility, context awareness, and/or low demand for computational resources. In particular, some of the disclosed systems and methods use a first language model and a second language model (being less resource-intensive than the first language model) to generate sanitized output data with improved efficiency and accuracy. This dual-model approach ensures that sensitive information is handled appropriately while optimizing computer resource usage.

Abstract: Novel tools and techniques are provided for implementing easy digital subscriber line (“DSL”) signal detection. In various embodiments, after a connector of a signal detector has been inserted into a network service port, a processor of the signal detector may determine whether a pilot tone is present on at least one signal wire communicatively coupled to the network service port, the pilot tone being indicative of network service being ready for provision via the at least one signal wire. If so, the processor of the signal detector may cause a display device to indicate to a user that the network service port is ready to provide the network service. A modem can then be installed by connecting with the network service port. The connector, the processor, and the display device are integrated within a single, compact, handheld form factor of the signal detector.

Abstract: A signal conditioning connector assembly is provided, including an enclosure, and a plurality of signal conditioner layers mounted within the enclosure. Each signal conditioner layer includes a substrate, signal conditioner circuitry mounted to the substrate, first electrodes forming a first connector on a first side of the signal conditioner circuitry, second electrodes forming a second connector on a second side of the signal conditioner circuitry, a heat spreader in thermal communication with a side of the signal conditioner circuitry opposite the substrate, and a liquid cooling pipe positioned adjacent and in thermal communication with the heat spreader. The liquid cooling pipe is configured to draw heat away from the heat spreader for thermal management. The signal conditioning connector assembly can be positioned adjacent an interface between the vertical cable shuffle and the horizontal cable backplane within the rack of the computing device assembly of the first and second aspects.

Abstract: A heater for a pool system, such as a swimming pool or a spa, includes a controller and a plurality of sensors for determining an operating condition of the heater. In some cases, the heater includes a gas sensor for determining at least one characteristic of gas supplied to the heater. The heater may also include a wiring sensor for determining a wiring configuration for an igniter of the heater. Additionally or alternatively, the heater may include a water inlet sensor, a water outlet sensor, and a vent sensor. The heater for the pool system may be provided with various other sensors or combination of sensors.

Abstract: A method of and system for method for ensuring data compliance in a computer environment includes retrieving data rules from a rule repository, the rule repository being a repository that stores one or more rules that are associated with storage or transfer of data by one or more devices in the computing environment, retrieving metadata about data flow in the computing environment from a policy governor, retrieving information about a data classification of data used by one or more services provided by the computing environment, and retrieving data about a network topography of the computing environment. The retrieved data is then used to generate a configuration file for configuring a Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) based on at least one of the retrieved data.

Abstract: A computer includes a processor and a memory, and the memory stores instructions executable by the processor to detect static environmental features in a camera image from a camera of a vehicle, generate a distance transform image of the static environmental features as detected in the camera image, and determine a pose of the vehicle based on a comparison of map data indicating the static environmental features with the distance transform image. Pixel values of respective pixels in the distance transform image indicate respective pixel distances of the respective pixels from the static environmental features in the distance transform image.

Abstract: An adjustable bow sight includes a base, a sight mount, a carrier, and an adjustment mechanism. The base is configured to be mounted to the riser of a bow. The sight mount is configured to facilitate the mounting of a sight to the carrier. The carrier is configured to move with respect to the base but remain fixed with respect to the sight. The adjustment mechanism facilitates the adjustment of the position of the carrier with respect to the base. In a particular embodiment, the carrier moves along an arcuate path when the adjustable bow sight is adjusted. In a more particular embodiment, the sight is a scope.
