  • Patent number: 12348660
Abstract: Methods and systems are described herein for manipulating a communication acceptance screen, manipulating an interactive communication acceptance icon, and restricting access to accounts based on voice communication parameters. In particular, when a communication is detected from one device to another device, that communication may be risky. Thus, the risk is mitigated by giving a user information about the source of the communication to give a user a chance to reject the communication. In addition, in instances where the user accepts the communication, the system enables monitoring the communication and restricting any accounts that are disclosed within the communication.

  • Patent number: 12347454
Abstract: Described are hard disk drives (HDDs) operable for archival applications and utilizing the same mechanical and electrical design of conventional HDDs. The capacity of a conventional HDD may be extended by up to 25% to 40% or more by employing multiple write and/or read spins before declaring success in write and read processes. The multiple write and/or read spins are designed to address the lower reliability that would otherwise result from high density packing of the data, at the cost of reducing performance. The result is an HDD with lower performance at higher capacity without sacrificing reliability and without altering conventional HDD mechanical or electrical design.

  • Patent number: 12349047
Abstract: An access point is described. During operation, the access point may provide, addressed to a computer, a location request. In response, the access point may receive, associated with the computer, a location response that includes location information specifying an address of a controller of the access point, where the computer may be located in a same subnet in the network as the access point and/or the controller may be located in a different subnet in a network than the access point. For example, the computer may be a lightweight access point protocol (LWAPP) proxy for at least some management functions of the controller. Then, the access point may provide, addressed to the controller, a configuration request. Next, the access point may receive, associated with the controller, a configuration response that includes second information specifying a configuration of the access point.
