Abstract: A system includes: an inverter configured to convert DC power from a battery to AC power to drive a motor, wherein the inverter includes: a power switch including a gate terminal; and a gate driver configured to: receive a pulse to control an operation of the power switch, generate, based on the received pulse, a first signal to the gate terminal to increase a gate voltage level of the power switch at a first rate from an off-state gate voltage level to a first on-state gate voltage level in a first time period, and generate, based on the received pulse, a second signal to the gate terminal to increase the gate voltage level of the power switch at a second rate, less than the first rate, to a second on-state gate voltage level in a second time period subsequent to the first time period.

A method for purifying cumene may also include the steps of providing a benzene column and a cumene column; directing a liquid side draw from the benzene column to the cumene column, the liquid side draw being a liquid substantially free of DIPB; returning a benzene enriched vapor from the cumene column to the benzene column using an overhead line, the benzene enriched vapor having a higher concentration of benzene than the liquid side draw; and drawing purified cumene from the cumene column.

The computing device receives a selection indicating a song available for streaming from the music streaming server, receives a selected portion of the song, determine at least one audio frequency of the selected portion of the song, determine a paint color based on the at least one audio frequency, generates an augmented reality filter that includes the paint color and the song, and outputs the augmented reality filter on a display of the at least one computing device with the paint color while outputting the selected portion of the song to a speaker of the computing device.

Abstract: A light therapy device stand includes a base, a motorized extension arm, a receptacle connected to the extension arm and an elongated support bar onto which one or more light therapy devices are connected. A system controller communicates wirelessly with a system remote control and a mobile application which operate the motor of the stand and each light therapy device connected to the stand. The light therapy devices are connected in one or both of a side to side configuration and a top to bottom configuration along the length of the elongated support bar, and the support bar rotates 90 degrees relative to the extension arm to transition each of the plurality of light therapy devices between a vertical orientation and a horizontal orientation.

Based on the first HARQ feedback being deferred, a first position of the first HARQ feedback in the HARQ feedback codebook may be after second position(s) of the second HARQ feedback(s).

Abstract: A video coding system for machines employs adaptive quantization based on the frequency response of the machine model receiving the data. The encoder receives the machine model for the machine-based system and generates a frequency importance map from the machine model. An adjustment matrix is then generated based on the frequency importance map and is used to adjust coefficients of the default quantization matrix. The video data is quantized using the adjusted quantization matrix and encoded in a bitstream for transmission to a decoder site. At the decoder site, the decoder can extract parameters of the adjusted quantization matrix from the bitstream or calculate the adjusted quantization matrix using the machine model to inverse quantize the received data for machine consumption.

Abstract: Disclosed is an apparatus and method for conditioning fluid flow in a nuclear power plant steam generator. A flow conditioning device includes an outer enclosure defining a plurality of entrance apertures arranged in an array and a plurality of exit apertures arranged in an array. A plurality of baffle plates are defined within the outer housing. The baffle plates define flow channels in fluid communication with the entrance and exit apertures to create a flow path of alternating directions. The flow channels receive fluid flow from the plurality of entrance apertures, direct the fluid flow from the entrance apertures in alternating directions through the flow channels to impart turning and frictional pressure loss to the fluid flow, and direct exiting fluid flow through the exit apertures into the tubelane region of the steam generator.

Abstract: An AI-based platform for enabling intelligent orchestration and management of power and energy is provided herein. The AI-based platform includes a set of adaptive, autonomous data handling systems, wherein each of the adaptive, autonomous data handling systems is configured to collect data relating to energy generation, energy storage, energy delivery, and/or energy consumption, wherein the data is collected from a set of edge devices that are in operational control of a set of distributed energy resources; and a set of intelligent agents configured to, by robotic process automation, autonomously adjust, based on the collected data, a set of operational parameters for such operational control.

The wireless device may monitor, on a first bandwidth part (BWP) of the second cell, a first physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) for cross-carrier scheduling the first cell. The wireless device may receive downlink control information (DCI) indicating a second BWP of the second cell as an active BWP. Based on the second BWP of the second cell being the active BWP, the wireless device may stop monitoring the first PDCCH for cross-carrier scheduling the first cell. The wireless device may monitor, on the first cell, a second PDCCH for self-scheduling the first cell.

The second latch element includes a first passage, a second passage, and an impact load lockout feature including a latch element rest arranged between the first passage and the second passage. The latch element rest includes an opening and a latch element trap. The opening is formed to allow passage of the first latch element into the latch element trap when the second surface is exposed to an impact load exceeding a design force.

Abstract: A computing platform is configured to (1) extract a first source dataset from a first database containing data about a set of product-level ingredients, (2) extract a second source dataset from a second database containing data about food products, (3) merge the first and second source datasets into a first merged dataset, (4) update the first merged dataset by inserting a column representing a data variable that, for each product-level ingredient in the set, provides a respective dry mass measurement of the respective product-level ingredient within a corresponding food product in which the respective product-level ingredient is included, (5) extract a third source dataset from a third database containing environmental-impact values for ingredients, (6) merge the updated first merged dataset and the third source dataset into a second merged dataset, and (7) determine a group of environmental-impact indicators for each product-level ingredient in the set using the second merged dataset.

A request for access to a first account associated with a user may be received. The first account may be managed by a first organization. A transactions database might be queried for first account data. Second account data corresponding to a second account associated with the user might be received. That second account may be managed by a second organization different from the first organization. One or more second transactions, unique to the second account, may be identified. A synthetic transaction, configured to be different from transactions in the first account and the one or more second transactions, may be generated. An authentication question may be generated based on the synthetic transaction. Access to the first account might be provided based on a response to the authentication question.

One of the techniques includes receiving, at a driver executing in a guest operating system of a virtual machine, a request to open a network connection from a process associated with a user, wherein the driver performs operations comprising: obtaining identity information for the user; providing the identity information and data identifying the network connection to an identity module external to the driver; and receiving, by a distributed firewall, data associating the identity information with the data identifying the network connection from the identity module, wherein the distributed firewall performs operations comprising: receiving an outgoing packet from the virtual machine; determining that the identity information corresponds to the outgoing packet; and evaluating one or more routing rules based at least in part on the identity information.

The second override mechanism is movably mounted to the housing and is operable to unlock the lock mechanism. The apparatus has a first configuration in which a lock cylinder is engaged with the first override mechanism such that actuation of the lock cylinder unlocks the lock mechanism. The apparatus has a second configuration in which the lock cylinder is engaged with the second override mechanism such that actuation of the lock cylinder unlocks the lock mechanism.

Abstract: Emails or other communications are labeled with a category label such as “spam” or “good” without using confidential or Personally Identifiable Information (PII). The category label is based on features of the emails such as metadata that do not contain PII. Graphs of inferred relationships between email features and category labels are used to assign labels to emails and to features of the emails. The labeled emails are used as a training dataset for training a machine learning model (“MLM”). The MLM identifies unwanted emails such as spam, bulk email, phishing email, and emails that contain malware.
