Abstract: A system includes a device configured with a tool that interfaces with administrator devices remote from the device. The system receives an identifier of an administrator of an administrator device. The system retrieves an administrator profile corresponding to the identifier. The system identifies one or more administrator profiles stored in the administrator profile data structure of one or more different administrators. The system determines a similarity metric between the administrator profile and each of the identified administrator profiles. The system identifies the administrator profiles having the similarity metric satisfying a predetermined threshold. The system instantiates a dynamic report interface to render an electronic report indicating a first value of a first performance metric of the administrator based on the administrator profile and a second value of the first performance metric based on the identified administrator profiles.

Abstract: A cutting assembly for a rock excavation machine including a frame. The cutting assembly includes a boom supported on the frame and a cutting device. In some aspects, the boom includes a first portion and a second portion, and the first portion includes a first structure and a second structure slidable relative to the first structure. The second portion includes a first member pivotably coupled to the second structure, and a second member pivotably coupled to the first member. The cutting device is supported on the second member. In some aspects, a material handling device is supported independently of the boom and movable between a retracted position and an extended position independent of the boom.

Abstract: An inrush current limiting circuit in aspects of the present disclosure may have one or more of the following features: a printed circuit board, an electrical input disposed on the circuit board, one or more electrical outputs disposed on the circuit board, a current limiting circuit connected between the electrical input and the one or more electrical outputs, at least one microcontroller connected within the current limiting circuit, at least one current sensor connected within the current limiting circuit, one or more current limiting components within the current limiting circuit for increasing voltage and current over time from the electrical input to the one or more electrical outputs by operation of the current sensor and the microcontroller.

Abstract: Systems and methods for in silico prediction of HLA type of a patient are presented in which patient sequence reads and a reference sequence with known and distinct HLA alleles are used in a de Bruijn graph. A composite match score is then used to rank HLA alleles, thus providing a first HLA type. A second HLA type is identified by re-ranking using an adjusted composite match score.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments describing the creation and funding of tax-advantaged accounts at a point of sale/service of a qualifying expense. The disclosure presents verifying the identity of the recipient of the qualifying expense, confirming an initial contribution, and creating a tax-advantaged account on behalf of the individual. The disclosure further presents funding the tax-advantaged account with the initial contribution and subsequently generating a bank transaction wherein the tax-advantaged account transfers the cost of the qualifying expense to the provider.

Abstract: A method and system of providing estimates or recommendations for software lifecycle management tasks by obtaining and storing local timing and result data for a current run of an application task on a local client, and gathering global timing and result data in a server computer for a plurality of clients including the local client. The local client combines its local timing and result data with the global timing and result data to generate an estimated time completion and success probability for a next run of the application task. The local client uses a rule definition file to substitute function variables for text strings and recommendation text with the appropriate values from the combined timing and result data and outputs the final time estimate UI string and recommendation through a user interface for display to a user.

Abstract: A controller executes a method to manage an engine connect/disconnect decision in a powertrain having an engine, transmission, electric machine, and a battery pack and power inverter module (“TPIM”). In response to vehicle ground speed being less than a calibrated maximum electric vehicle accelerator pedal signal (“EVAPS”) level, the controller calculates a delta APS (“?APS”) value by subtracting a scaled APS value from the actual APS level. The scaled APS value is a scaled variant of a maximum EVAPS value selected from a maximum EVSAPS table, the latter populated based on inverter temperature, state of charge of the battery pack, and ground speed. When the ?APS value exceeds a threshold, the controller connects the engine to the transmission via an engine disconnect clutch. The engine is disconnected based on acceleration of the vehicle and the above-noted factors.

Abstract: A dado jig that may be adapted for use with any thickness of wood stock to allow quick and accurate cutting of dadoes to fit the thickness of the stock piece exactly is provided. The present disclosure further provides a method of use for a dado jig to cut both open and blind dadoes with stock of varying thicknesses without the need to measure that thickness.

Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, and systems for autonomous surgical robot evolution and handoff for manual operation are disclosed. A robotic surgical system performs surgery and is controlled jointly by an artificial intelligence (AI) and a surgeon. The surgeon can perform the entire surgery or can alternatively allow the AI to control the surgical robot to perform a part of or the entirety of the surgery. The AI is trained using data from previous surgeries, can provide indication to the surgeon when it has been sufficient trained to take over parts of a surgery, and can prompt the surgeon when there is insufficient training data for the AI to continue. Alternatively, a supervising surgeon can manually take back control of the surgical robot from the AI.

Abstract: A method of providing automated help includes receiving, at a computer system including at least one processor and at least one computer readable medium storing machine-executable instructions, user inputs for utilizing a plurality of functions of a computer program, detecting, at the computer system, a plurality of user actions utilizing the plurality of functions, as a function of the user inputs, at the computer system, an action trigger indicating a user help condition, wherein detecting further comprises identifying, in a help trigger database associating a plurality of action triggers with user help conditions, an action trigger matching at least a user action of the plurality of user actions, by the computer system, a first area of expertise associated with the user help condition, based on the identified first area of expertise associated with the user help condition, identifying, by the computer system, expertise to provide assistance to the user.

Abstract: An umbrella canopy that opens and closes not from a stick from within the interior of the umbrella canopy but from the exterior crown where a line is pulled to open the umbrella canopy and where a button is pushed to close the umbrella canopy. The interior of the umbrella canopy includes no stick to hold up the umbrella canopy. Taut edges of the umbrella canopy hold up the umbrella canopy, for instance, on the top edges of a playyard.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method includes receiving a video that includes multiple frames. The method further includes identifying a start time and an end time of each action in the video based on application of one or more of an audio classifier, an RGB classifier, and a motion classifier. The method further includes identifying video segments from the video that include frames between the start time and the end time for each action in the video. The method further includes generating a confidence score for each of the video segments based on a probability that a corresponding action corresponds to one or more of a set of predetermined actions. The method further includes selecting a subset of the video segments based on the confidence score for each of the video segments.

A hardware interface of the expandable network device is configured to communicate with the dynamic interface under a control of the dynamic interface; and a communication channel is established between a network interface of the expandable network device and the hardware interface of the expandable network device via the dynamic interface.

Abstract: A redundant level measuring system comprises comprising a chamber for fluidic coupling to a process vessel whereby material level in the vessel equalizes with material level in the chamber. A float including a magnet in the chamber interior space rises and falls with material level in the chamber. The float comprises an inner cylindrical wall defining an elongate through opening. A magnet actuated visual indicator is mounted to the chamber for indicating level of the magnet in the chamber. A level measurement instrument includes a measurement circuit and a coaxial probe having an inner rod and a coaxial outer tube. The probe defines a transmission line and the coaxial outer tube has a through opening so that material level in the chamber equalizes with material level in the coaxial outer tube. The instrument is mounted atop the chamber with the probe directed downwardly to the chamber interior space and extending through the float through opening.

Abstract: A sporting implement, such as a blade for a hockey stick, may include an outer layer, a core, and a recovery gel positioned between the core and the outer layer. The recovery gel can form a film, be compressible, shape recoverable, and pressurized to a predetermined pressure. The recovery gel can be configured to provide an integrated agent for filling cracks that appear during use of the blade and configured to absorb energy impacts between the outer layer and the core. When a crack appears, the predetermined pressure can be relieved inside the crack and fills a cavity formed by the crack to provide cohesion between the outer layer and the core to recreate a new material in the place of the crack. The recovery gel can be configured to help prevent cracks from propagating and actively heals potential damages by reducing stiffness loss caused by cracks.

Abstract: With the current initialization procedures defined in the VDSL and ADSL standards, even though the xDSL system could operate in Showtime in an impulse noise environment where symbols are being corrupted, the transceivers would not be able to reach Showtime because initialization would fail due to initialization message failure. Through the use of an improved initialization procedure for communication systems, operation in environments with higher levels of impulse noise is possible.

Abstract: In various examples there is a telecommunications network access point of a telecommunications network in which the control plane is implemented using a data center comprising a plurality of interconnected computation nodes. The access point comprises a memory holding a log of encapsulated control messages the control messages being messages of a control protocol of the telecommunications network. The access point has a processor configured, for a control message to be sent by the access point to a node in the data center, to: generate a message identifier; encapsulate the control message in a packet of a communications protocol of the data center, add the message identifier to a header of the encapsulated control message; send the encapsulated control message to the node of the data center; and store a record of the encapsulated control message and node of the control plane in the log.
