Abstract: A method to determine a global core reactivity bias and the corresponding estimated critical conditions of a nuclear reactor core prior to achieving reactor criticality. The method first requires collection and evaluation of the inverse count rate ratio (ICRR) data; specifically, fitting measured ICRR vs. predicted ICRR data. The global core reactivity bias is then determined as the amount of uniform reactivity adjustment to the prediction that produces an ideal comparison between the measurement and the prediction.

Abstract: Methods of producing luminescence by application of a time-varying electrical signal by a single wire or transmission medium to an electroluminescent device are disclosed whereby the entire system remains at open circuit. At least one substance, material or object is employed to enhance an electric field in the area of the electroluminescent device to a level sufficient to cause light emission. Methods are disclosed to relate the light intensity thus produced to a property of the electric field-enhancing substance, material or object thereby allowing a measurement of the property. The electric field-enhancing substance, material or object(s) can comprise part of the transmission medium or be placed on or near the electroluminescent device.
Abstract: A system includes a virtual-driver module, a DC/DC converter electrically coupled to the virtual-driver module, a low-voltage battery electrically coupled to the virtual-driver module, a high-voltage battery electrically coupled to the DC/DC converter, and a computer communicatively coupled to the DC/DC converter. The computer is programmed to, in response to a request to start a vehicle including the virtual-driver module in a manual mode, the vehicle being in an off state at the time of the request, set a setpoint of the DC/DC converter at a first voltage; then perform at least one pre-drive test on the vehicle; and then set the setpoint of the DC/DC converter at a second voltage lower than the first voltage.

Abstract: An assembly for use with a power and free conveyor comprises a track member adapted to be slidingly received by a receiver portion of a power and free conveyor power track. The track member is slidingly moveable from a first position to a second position such that, when in the first position, the proximal end is retained within the receiver portion and the distal end is proximate to a connection portion. When in the second position, the proximal end is retained within the receiver portion and there is a gap between the distal end and the connection portion. A power and free conveyor comprising the assembly is also provided. A method of servicing a power and free conveyor comprising a sliding track member is also provided.
Abstract: Various embodiments comprise systems, methods, architectures, mechanisms and apparatus for managing service provider network nodes in a converged network by inserting mobile network UE information into WiFi network communications such that a WiFi control entity may, in response to determining that the UE-inserted information is indicative of a jamming condition at a Citizens Broadband Radio Service Devices (CBSDs) providing mobile network services to the UE, communicate the identification of such UE to various provider equipment such that CBSDs experiencing jamming signals may be identified and mitigation steps taken.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed generating candidate trajectories and selecting one of them to be implemented. In particular, a computing system can obtain an initial travel path for an autonomous vehicle. The computing system can obtain sensor data describing objects within an environment of the autonomous vehicle. The computing system can generate a plurality of trajectories for the autonomous vehicle based on the sensor data and the initial travel path. The computing system can determine whether the initial travel path, an offset profile, and a velocity profile meet flatness criteria. In response to determining that the initial travel path, the offset profile, and the velocity profile meet the flatness criteria, the computing system can combine the initial travel path, the offset profile, and the velocity profile into the respective trajectory. The computing system can determine a trajectory from the plurality of trajectories.

Abstract: A communication management resource receives notification of a registration request associated with user equipment present in a wireless network environment. In response to receiving the registration request, the communication management resource executes a roaming management function on behalf of the user equipment. Via the roaming management function, the communication management resource manages roaming of the user equipment in the wireless network environment. Using an SoR type mechanism as described herein allows a PLMN/SNPN operator to control their subscribers to what roaming SNPN network that they should select/reselect during wireless registration and at any time after registration based on the type of wireless services.

Abstract: Devices, computer-readable media, and methods are disclosed for establishing a secure tunnel having a path that includes an untrusted link between a wireless access point and a gateway device. For example, a processor may detect a security event associated with a wireless access point that is in communication with a gateway device of the telecommunication network via a trusted link, establish a secure tunnel between the gateway device and an endpoint device that is accessing the telecommunication network via the wireless access point and the gateway device, and transport payload traffic between the endpoint device and the gateway device via the secure tunnel. A path of the secure tunnel may include an untrusted link between the wireless access point and the gateway device. In addition, the payload traffic that is transported via the secure tunnel may be indecipherable by the wireless access point.
